Bow N Arrow Shop

I brought my daughter’s bow into this shop to have the timing on the cams adjusted, as I had purchased the bow at basspro a few years ago and her draw length has increased since she has gotten older. I had the people at basspro adjust it for us a few weeks ago when I happened to be in the area and it wasn’t until she went to use it for the first time after being adjusted that I noticed they had done things incorrectly. I took the bow over to the bow and arrow shop and they fixed it without any problem. They didn’t care that I had purchased the bow elsewhere and never thought to charge me for their work. Everyone was extremely friendly and gracious, including the owner, Bruce Marshall. He was in the shop and I asked to speak with him before I left. He was friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about what I had to say and why I was there. I complimented him on his customer service and on the overall demeanor and goodwill that all of his employees had shown myself and my daughter.
Honestly I was a bit surprised that he was more concerned about whether or not we had been taken care of than accepting my compliment. I was very impressed that in a society that seems to be much more often concerned that customers don’t ask TOO much of them, that this gentleman was much more concerned about us having good service than receiving a compliment about that service. It seems very rare today to have a genuine experience of customer service, and a commitment to good work and quality. I was very impressed, and I will make sure that all of my bow and arrow business goes to Bruce and his bow and arrow shop in Lakeside from now on! Thank you Bruce, I appreciate your genuine commitment to quality customer service. I hope all of the other archers in San Diego have a chance to meet you and have the same experience that my daughter and I had.

Was referred to this shop by another archery shop. Went in to have my bow repaired after it was accidentally derailed. These guys did an awesome job not only repairing the bow at a decent price and timeframe (had to have both the upper and lower limbs replaced as a result of the cams flying through them during the derailment), but they also installed my peep sight for free AND even helped me set the sights.
Excellent customer service, and the guys are pleasant to talk to. I highly recommend this shop. I will be a returning customer (hopefully not for the same reason though!).
And even if you don’t like people, you can always hang out with one of the dogs in the shop :)

The bow and arrow shop is an top quality bow shop! Bruce is the owner there and gives each and every customer individualized advice and assistance. The entire staff is focused on customer assistance. All three gentlemen that I have worked with are very knowledgable about everything bows, and not just compounds,. After completely going over and fine tuning my bow he cut my arrows down to the correct size, then worked with me on fine tuning my shooting form. This is the only shop I will take my bow to. I have continued to visit this shop and every time he works with me on my form. I would recommend this shop to anyone who is interested in buying a bow or any other archery equipment. Thanks

The Bow and Arrow Shop is a model of a business. The staff over at BaA led by Bruce are the friendliest and most knowledgeable group of guys you’ll ever meet. You walk in and one or all of them will stop what they are doing to great you. These guys know there stuff, and there are more than willing to teach you anything and everything about archery. I can’t speak highly enough about all the guys over at the Bow and Arrow Shop!!! I’ve been a satisfied customer for two years now. I hadn’t shot a bow in a little over a year and a half, and I decided that for my birthday I was going to shoot again. Right away when you enter the bow and arrow shop you can already tell the friendly, welcoming feel of the place.
I looked around and found a bear archery compound bow (which not to mention was camo) I really liked it but Bruce suggested the carbon rose compound bow, I have to admit at first I wasn’t too excited about the black and purple color that it is, but Bruce took me outside and showed me the difference between a black bow and a camo bow at night, I would have never guessed black bows are better for hunting.
Once I was sold on the bow, Bruce took me into the indoor archery range they have at the shop and he spent time working with me and teaching me the proper stance, he taught me back tension, and just about every other thing a great archer should know. Once I was all up to the know on everything he measured my draw strength, fixed my peeps, sights and everything else on the bow.
He suggested that I come back once or twice a week to make sure I hadn’t developed any bad habits, and so he could teach me more about the sport and how I should shoot and how I should do everything when I’m actually on a hunt.
I came back at least once a week for awhile and he taught me a lot, I picked up a lot of useful skills and techniques. Unfortunately, I stopped coming after awhile for just about a month, due to injury’s that were unrelated. Bruce was telling me that while I was gone I had developed target panic, but he didn’t give up and he never once told me he couldn’t work with me, he worked with me as he could and he told me I could get back to where I was no doubt about it.
So I have gotten a lot better and I am almost completely back to normal, because of the extra time that Bruce spent with me trying to bring me back to where I was.
Everyone in the bow shop is like family, and they do there best to make you feel as much of a part of it as they can, I know I do, and I wouldn’t take my business anywhere else.

I’ve been to the store twice and have to say their customer service is excellent. I didn’t feel pressured or rushed. Staff is super friendly and willing to work with you. Ended up buying a bow because of the treatment I received. They even told me to come back in a week to make sure I didn’t develop any bad habits. I mean, who does that? Definitely would recommend this store and staff. From now on this will be my go to store for all my archery needs.

this is the place to go for your archery addiction. i live right next to a place that sells archery equipment by mira mesa but i will still make the drive to east county to see the guys at the bow n arrow shop. i just picked up my bowtech 360 and man is it tuned perfect for me. this place is dope.

I wanted to start on archery. Bruce spent almost the whole day getting me the perfect bow. He spent a lot of time in tuning the equipment for me.
He made sure I am using the right technique. And provided me right guidance to train myself. He said i should come by almost every week so that he can help me further.
I highly recommend this place for any starter. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

I purchased my wife’s recurve bow at Bow ‘N Arrow and Bruce was nothing short of amazing in his service and expertise. I have to make a confession though — I went to Performance Archery last weekend looking for a better selection of quivers and tabs. I even ended up getting a recurve for myself there. I regret it very much. Their service was awful and they did a shitty job setting up my bow. I’m headed back to Bow ‘N Arrow this weekend to beg forgiveness from Bruce, buy some arrows, and hopefully get help setting up my bow.

These guys have lots of experience and patience in giving you exactly what you need!
They will take the time to help you out with all your beginner questions and even teach you better technique. They know what they are talking about and aren’t sleezy trying to rip you off.
They are pretty far away from me. But worth the drive for THE BEST BOW SHOP IN SAN DIEGO!
If the zombie apocalypse goes down this is where you should come… Seriously that’s what I would do.
I once asked for targets after already making a purchase on bow equipment that they just gave me them for free. They are really great guys over here that just want to see the culture of what they love stay alive.
Only place I will take my bow to that I trust!

These people are super nice and pretty knowledgeable. We recently got our daughter a bow (she wants to bow hunt with daddy) and they were super nice, took time to size it to her and give her a couple pointers at the little shooting place in the back :)

I found this place on Unilocal and decided to make the drive and see what it was all about. I used to be into archery when I was young and decided I wanted to pick it back up again. I went in there alone and didn’t feel intimidated at all. Nick was super helpful in helping me select a bow that would work for me and took the time to show me how to use it properly. He got me all set up and out the door for cheaper than I thought but still including quality service and gear. He also wanted me to come back in a week or so to see how I’ve progressed and to make sure I didn’t pick up any bad habits. Great shop. I would recommend it to anyone!

So far so good. Had a really good experience here today. I walked in having a very limited knowledge and experience with bows. Meaning, I thought shooting my friends while intoxicated was a fantastic idea.
Anyways, it was so fun I had to have one. So my buddy took me in here. Right away they got me hooked up with a sweet bow. Had me shoot it before I bought it. They gave me pointers and measured me for my proper arrow size.
The whole experience was great thanks to Nick. He even invited me back in in a week to shoot and make sure I hadn’t formed any bad habits.

This shop brings everything into you shopping experience. Bruce is a great guy and the staff will spend all the time you need to make sure that you leave knowing how to handle you new equipment. I have been back and will continue to refer other here.

What brought me to this shop was Bruces’ video on his website. I thought he is passionate about his craft. Man was I right. I originally came in a week prior looking for arrows. Bruce introduced himself right off the bat. Told me that he was more than willing to sell me arrows but he highly recommend that I bring my bow in. So I left empty handed and a week later I should up with my bow in hand.
As I walked in I was greeted almost immediately by Dave. Dave was a fun guy to talk to and easy to work with. He answered any questions I had and helped me get bow all squared away. Bow and arrow has made a customer for life I was so impressed with there service and passion for the sport. I’d your looking for a shop this is the place.

Well worth the drive out here from anywhere.

I was just visiting San Diego from Big Island, Hawaii and had my bow tuned, was given a few complimentary minutes on a shooting lane, had an expert to oversee form, draw and release. Perfect.

Friendliest shop ever, treated like family (the good family member). The owner, Bruce, dropped everything to give me an hour of personal time to get my bow, and mostly me, set up for perfect bulls-​eye shooting. Great staff, they’re knowledgeable and have a great sense of humor.
They almost lost one star though when they said «always listen to my husband». :-)
I think he’s their favorite customer, but that’s how they make everyone feel.

Bruce and his employees are top notch. These guys are great to deal with. I was in the market for my new bow and went in to check it out. Bruce offered to let me shoot it and spent over an hour with me making adjustments and giving me pointers. They are not just looking to make a sale, but are genuinely interested in making a happy customer.
Bruce spent quite a bit of time setting up my new bow and also went out of his way for me.

I was referred to come here by one of the kind locals at the Balboa Park Archery Range… I needed to purchase some more arrows for my «lil» Archery dude…
A little tricky to find, but close to the Lakeside Skate Park/​Lindo Lakes, literally two blocks if that away, so you can understand the vicinity.
I thought, I will just pop in, pick up some arrows and out I go… Nope… they are a little more specific than that… (specifics I was unaware of) They measured the length of my son’s arms, helped us pick out the arrows, and they went in the back and custom cut/​sized each Carbon Fiber Arrow.
I am still new to all this. The shop was busy inside, I was a little intimidated, let’s just say I am more familiar with Surf Shops and Skate Shops, not Archery Hunting Shops…
Anyways… «looking» like a Vegan Hipster in a Hunting Shop, this place still treated me with kindness, respect and were EXTREMELY HELPFUL :)
