Junk Remedy

6 year Lake Zurich resident here. I had a mass of left over construction materials, doors, mattresses, electronics, you name it. The folks that showed up were extremely polite, efficient, and well led by Derrick (spelling?). I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. The pricing explanation over the phone was sensible, and the on-​site quote ended up being accurate (I took a look in the truck before they closed the hatch). They definitely gave me my fair share of space based on the quote.
I would use them again and I would recommend them to others. Thanks Derrick, Tim, and Jimmy/​Tim? for the quick work and polite conversation.

We had Salvation Army cancel on us & another charity would not take our items unless we brought them down to the garage level. My dad is HANDICAPPED! We told this to all concerned & eventually had to call these guys to help. People who can’t walk, can’t bring furniture to the curb so these other bozos can pick it up! Outrageous.
Junk Remedy was polite, did not cause any damage (strong too) & took all the stuff away for what I thought was a reasonable price. We gave them an electric organ because no one would take it & you now have to bring stuff like this to a recycle center. How can a handicapped person do this? They can’t.
Since I work in real estate I would highly recommend them to my clients in the future. Now I have a company that I can trust to handle some of these problems. I’m very grateful that they can come to your home & solve your problem!

I’m a professional green organizer based in Los Angeles. Recently I was in Chicago for a week working on a clients house in Evanston. When I realized that the job was more than I could haul away in my car I needed to find some help. I made a few phone calls and knew immediately that Corey at Junk Remedy was the one to go with. Junk Remedy went above and beyond my expectations. Because I’m a green organizer I like to make sure that anything that can be passed on goes to a charity. Corey made sure that everything that could be donated went to a battered women’s shelter, and he even had donation slips on him! He was also very knowledgeable about what was valuable, items that could be sold, and he even took a second pass for me on the stuff to make sure I didn’t miss anything that was valuable like family photos etc. And as an added bonus they swept every area where they removed junk. I seriously could not be happier with this company. My only complaint is that they are not located in Los Angeles!

Excellent service. A call from my email about 30 minutes after I sent it. The truck arrived as scheduled a day later… Right on time! The men were very polite and made quick work of our junk pile. Price was comparable to other places, but I would choose these folks again for their professionalism.

I just had Junk Remedy out last week to help with our basement in preparation for a move and I was ecstatic. I was leery about paying for this but the amount of work that got done and the ease was totally worth it. I was impressed with every aspect of the process. From initially dealing with Corey to the Derrick and Tom who came out to my house everyone was extremely professional, courteous, and timely.
Derrick and Tom were very diligent and they didn’t just «take out the trash» they made sure to get every scrap a clean the area, it is now the cleanest part of my basement. Most of all I was impressed with how respectful and considerate they were of the rest of my house.
I hope to never need Junk Remedy again, but in reality I’m sure there will come a day and they will be my first and only call!

I had a competitor cancel on me at the last minute on New Years Eve. I had clutter gathered up all over my house for hauling and guests arriving in hours.
Corey located a team of gentleman to head out to home within minutes. They came into work specifically to help me out of a jam. They were on time, courteous, professional and efficient. I cannot say enough good things about the company and the situation they helped out of.

Corey and his team of guys emptied out my mom’s condo. My husband called on a Saturday and they showed that Monday. We noted their efficiency to point out particular items we might want to take a second look at, honesty — the $ 1.00 bill that was found:), and unbelievable steady hard work filling a truck and a half. The guys were so awesome. My mom had some beautiful clothes and shoes which were donated to a women’s shelter.

This is an amazing service.
Corey, one of the owners, got back to me within an hour of my making a website inquiry. He explained exactly how they work, including pricing (based on load size), and then scheduled a crew for 11 a.m. the next morning.
Derrick and Zach phoned me 20 minutes before the appointment time to let me know they might be slightly late. They were… 2 whole minutes! But I appreciated the call anyway. :)
They looked at the scope of the job, gave me an estimate of how much space in the truck it would take/​price, and then got right to work. They were done in 30 minutes, including the very nice touch of sweeping the areas they had cleared. And they were dead on with the estimate. All while being efficient, personable, and totally respectful.
My life is so much better after their visit. I’d hire Junk Remedy again in a heartbeat!

I always like to share superior service stories when they happen. A HUGE thank you to Junk Remedy for getting out to my office to remove a bunch of «junk» and pick up some computer equipment for recycling. The guys were thorough and were so fast. Junk Remedy is a life saver! Same day service. Excellent work. Fair price. Stress free. My day started with dealing with a flooded basement and ended with Junk Remedy removing everything that was ruined and doing it in such a way that made my wife and I keep saying to one another how worth the money was for their services. They made the messy job look easy, were all very nice and professional, and went above and beyond to meet our needs and exceed our expectations.
