I am only doing this because this has gotta be the 6th time I’ve had to deal with this and I have never complained. It’s very inconsistent. The food is often cold, looks different«„„Every time““». I like General Taos spicy chicken, I order white meat because the chicken is chewy if it’s dark. But you wanna know something it doesn’t taste good no matter how you get it here. Every time it’s never spicy. Never! There’s peppers one night and then there’s not. The chicken is chewy. If I have guests from out of town in the house order. Smh. They don’t recommend dinner or lunch combinations, they push separated rice and separated meats. It’s very expensive, it’s not cheap no matter what. But when I have a ton of food sitting in front of me that costs allot of hard earned $$$ that’s not good food… It stinks. I live down the street, I still think the best Chinese type of restaurant is PF Changs. Consistent nice atmosphere. Worth the drive. I will not be ordering from this place again. Enough chances.4real

Ordered from here as we didn’t know anyone else And it was close. Took our chances even with some negative reviews. We are very impressed!!! I’m picky and this is the best take out Chinese food. Coming from NY I can tell u this was better than places we use in NY! We will def order again. Delivery was very fast. And driver super friendly.

Inconsistent experience and tonight was the last straw. Ordered on website at 5:31. By 7:30 I called to check on the status. They put me on hold by just putting the phone down, so I got to hear them deal poorly with communicating their wait time, argue over someone’s missing white rice, and be rude to take out customers. I also got to hear the other phone line ring and them take those calls before mine. I combatted this by calling on my cell while on hold on my home phone because f that — I’ll tie up both of their lines if they are going to pull that. Once someone got on the phone they said I ordered at 6:13. Nope, I have the email confirmation from BeyondMenu. If that service can send an auto responder to me that fast, they sent the order that fast. They simply did not enter it into their system until that time. On a double check on BeyondMenu I see that TP closed the order as DELIVERED at 6:13. Nice way to circumvent the system and lie. Regardless, this responsibility dodging didn’t work as I said, «well, you decided to use BeyondMenu as your website ordering system, so that’s still on you.» I was told the order left«a few minutes ago.» The driver went to another delivery before ours and the food received was cold. I had to microwave it. I was also a missing an egg roll. I know it’s Christmas. Trust me, I know that my Jewish MOTs(members of the tribe) were ordering big time today, but this is not unexpected. Staff up for this rush! Regarding inconsistency, the cold sesame noodles sometimes have the peanut sauce, sometimes not. Today it did not. The sesame chicken sometimes has a heavy red glaze and is sometimes a lighter, much better glaze. I suspect when the chicken is dried out, heavy glaze it is — as it was today. I felt terrible for the delivery driver, as none of this is his fault. He told us that he just got chewed out at his last delivery in an over-55 community. I had already given the driver a little over a 20% tip just for working on xmas. The guy shook my husbands hand just grateful that we told him it was not his fault when he started off apologizing profusely. I live in South Florida. I can’t spit without hitting a Chinese restaurant. We’ll try somewhere new next time.

I ordered honey garlic chicken and lo mein. Both were delicious. I would definitely order again. Also, they told me an hour delivery wait, and it came in less than an hour.

I am only giving this place two stars because the delivery driver was prompt and courteous. I have live here for 4.5 years and have dined in, picked up and had delivery. Shame on me for giving them so many opportunities. The food is crap. There is no way they prepare anything from scratch. Just like so many other«Chinese» places, their menu is exactly the same and I am sure they all have the same distributor of this crap. I would love to see a restauranteur have the guts to have dual menus. Chinese food and«Western» Chinese food. This place is nothing but a vehicle to warm up prepared crap. I know I have used the word«crap» repeatedly, but it is the best word. Americans as a whole do not have a sophisticated palate. Therefore, this place survives. Drive to Military and BBB and get food from Kingsburg. It is not perfection, but they do make their own stuff.

I love good Chinese good but unfortunately I have yet to have really good Chinese food in South Florida. We ate the other night at Mama Mia’s in the same plaza(It was phenomenal) but I wanted to try out this Chinese restaurant. Although it was pretty busy and the counter was filled with take out bags ready to go, I wasn’t impressed. They put a bowl of quite greasy fried wontons out with sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard(that was pretty good!) my husband ordered the pork with Chinese vegetables combo meal and I ordered the Szechuan chicken combo meal. Mine had a red pepper next to it on the menu, indicating spicy. It was as mild as mild could be! It also looked identical to my husbands meal, only with chicken instead of pork! The chicken was way over marinated to the point it tasted jelly like. The hot and sour soup was so bland. Never tasted hot and sour soup like it before. The egg roll, although crisp, was flavorless. I left most of my meal behind. I will not be visiting this Chinese restaurant in the future!

Since moving here from NY there are certain foods that just aren’t the same. Chinese is one of them. I have tried several chinese take out through out the years and this seems to be the most consistent and best I have tried. I got the chicken chow mien with white rice and hubby got General Tsos chicken and he said it was excellent. The crispy noodles they give you with the chow mien were actually freshly made(or so they tasted) I called at 5pm and told them to please deliver at 6:30 and he was here at 6:35pm.

We ordered take out and they said to pick it up in 15 minutes. We were there 15 minutes later only to find out the order was never processed so we had to wait 15 more minutes in the restaurant. When we got the food home, which was sweet and sour chicken, honey garlic chicken, teriyaki steak and pepper steak we all couldn’t get through it and threw it out. It was tasteless(or had a strange taste), not enough sauce, dry. Egg rolls and rangoon were greasy. The chicken on a stick was dried out. This was our first time here and our last.

I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki from here, and while it looked very different from other chicken teriyakis that I have had I decided to still eat it. The texture of the chicken was strange and the environment is somewhat dull(never eaten inside). There are only two workers so it can get busy. Heres the tipping point however, I received a terrible stomach virus the next morning and I am very sure it was related to this Chicken Teriyaki. Not going to eat here again, do not order from their«Japanese Menu!»

Terrible service and mediocre food. It took 30 minutes just to get our drinks and another hour and a half to get the food. Food usually comes out one at a time. The food was really hit or miss. Half of it was terrible and bland and the other half was alright. I do not recommend anyone eating there. How this got the rating it did is beyond my understanding.

Friendly staff, but we were 5 people and the mains came out one at a time, so that by the time the fifth person was served, the first one was almost finished. My friend ordered the pound and a half lobster special and got lobster pieces in the shell, similar to lobster Cantonese without the Cantonese.

No offense to Scott from Manhattan Beach, but I wasn’t that impressed(and I just moved here from L.A., so we should have similar expectations, yes?) Everything was OK, but just that and nothing more. I’d go back if in a pinch for Chinese food in the area, but I’ve already found better to make my list of favorites.

The food is great, prices are reasonable, and the service is very good in a casual setting. In particular, I highly recommend their Dragon Phoenix. I look forward to getting this dish each time I am in Florida! While mainly a take-out & delivery restaurant, you can also enjoy a good meal at Tokyo Peking. The dining area is small but as long as you don’t go during prime time(Florida time meaning between 5:30 — 6:30), you won’t have much trouble getting a table. However, if their is a major holiday or a hurricane, all bets are off as this becomes the hub for just about everyone in the neighborhood!
