For sushi, I’d give Kiku 4 stars. Probably 3 for the rest, meaning average — nothing overly wrong but nothing particularly outstanding either. The ambiance is nice, with a good location. The service was fine, but could stand with more smiles. We went on Sunday, which isn’t optimal for sushi and sashimi, but it was quite good on the whole. Some of the sashimi is cut FAR too thick, like the tuna and salmon. The spicy tuna sashimi was really good. For the hot stuff one simply needed to be picky, as not everything was going to be worth trying. As someone else noted some of the labels will be incorrect or even missing. Sure, they should fix this but it’s not the end of the world. So, it’s a good place but if I wanted a buffet and not so much the sushi then I would go elsewhere.

This is my first time here, but it will not be my last. They have a wide variety of sashimi, which you never see at a buffet for lunch. Salads were great, I didn’t touch the hot food, but looked similar to most other places, and dessert is the same as any other sushi buffet too. I left very full and satisfied.

I’m not a fan of sushi but my dad is, so we decided to try this place out. If(and only if) you love sushi this place is fantastic, and my rating would be a four or a five. They have a vast selection of sushi which is freshly made as the supply is depleted. We visited on a Saturday evening early, right at 5:00pm. Surprisingly there was only about seven or eight tables in use in the whole restaurant. Unfortunately they decided to seat us right beside an incredibly loud group of five teenagers, which was silly. In retrospect I should have asked for another booth immediately but I was stupid and didn’t. Even a single booth separating us would have spared us from having to hear them. I like to think I wasn’t that obnoxious and loud when I was sixteen, but I probably was. During our meal they sat another couple in the very next booth over, while there were plenty of empty ones available. If it’s during the rush I understand seating people next to each other but when it’s nearly empty give them some space. Moving on, the selection of hot food is, unfortunately, not vast. I believe there were maybe sixteen to twenty items from which to choose, and for some reason some of them were improperly labelled. The hot food was good, not great, especially considering the $ 19 per person price. It’s your basic run-of-the-mill hot food at a Chinese buffet. For the price involved I would expect much more. One nice aspect of this restaurant is they don’t charge for sodas, which is super rare but appreciated. The service was fine, although it’s difficult to give great service at a buffet restaurant as all that’s involved is the removal of dirty plates and refills. Still, our server was on top of those duties. The dessert section was pedestrian at best, and while nobody goes to a sushi or Chinese restaurant for the dessert, it’d still be nice to see something aside from the usual fruit, terrible ice cream and tiny, unappetizing pastries which they all seem to serve. So if you’re a sushi aficionado and don’t mind spending $ 19 on a meal I do recommend this place. But if you’re like me and don’t much care for it, don’t bother. The quantity and quality of the hot foods does leave much to be desired.

Went last night for dinner around 7pm not a lot of customers around. We were surprised that most foods were not replenished. Some foods at the bar were not labeled properly i.e. Frog legs were labeled fried fish. The food were in the bland side. I don’t think the price that they charge customers matches the quality/taste of food. I’d rather go to Ginza.

Pretty good standard Chinese buffet for its price. Nice environment and plenty of seating arrangements.

This place has really went down hill, when they first opened they were pretty good now it seems they don’t care at all the sushi is sloppy and unimaginative the temperatures were quite suspect and at dinner they had chicken nuggets left from lunch on the buffet sadly those were the only things edible there I shall not return

Every time I’ve been to Kiko, I’ve never had an issue with the food. The sushi bar normally has two guys making fresh roll after roll as customers load their plates. Fresh, made-to-order Hibachi is also included in the buffet price. The dessert bar is loaded with awesome fruits AND don’t forget the chocolate drizzling sauce, an ice cream freezer with at least 6 different flavors on hand, and baked sweets on the rear end. The last meal bar at the back of the restaurant has a variety of warm, Asian dishes & soups. The restaurant is clean but the wait staff can be a bit rude at times. Yesterday for instance, I was lunching with a friend & our server clearly was ready for us to leave. Towards the end of our meal, she brought the check while we were in the middle of a conversation. A few minutes later she was hovering our table & decided to start taking all of our plates away – I had to stop her from taking my fruit plate because I wasn’t done. On another occasion, 8 – 10 of our friends met here(in a window of about 30 minutes) and all wanted to sit at the same table… The servers were upset but growing visibly angry with us because she felt we should all be sitting at different tables to disperse tips among servers. I’m assuming, with crowds this large, they want you to make a reservation. But it’s pretty inappropriate to argue with guests because they wanted to sit together. Their sushi isn’t the most amazing sushi ever, but the lunch buffet is a bargain for sure!

This is an update to my original review. I really do not care for the lack of customer service and attitude this place has now acquired. The last time I was there for lunch the waitress came to my table with a major attitude as if I did or said something to her personally. Normally I would not enter into a discussion with any person that has an obvious chip on their shoulder, yet this woman needed to be put in her place! There are much better and customer service oriented restaurants I do bring my business to. Their food and over all service has gone down hill pretty fast. I originally came to this restaurant since it was close to my home and was a convenient place for lunch. At this point, I would rather drive further for better food and service with a smile. This angry and bitchy waitress should be grateful that I did not approach the owner regarding her rude and unwarranted attitude towards me. I suggest to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing lunch to go elsewhere. My money will be better spent elsewhere. This place is now on my permanent boycott list!

This place was recommended by some friends of ours and we are so glad they did. Nice selection of sushi, soups, hot dishes, hibachi grill. Like that they do not put out too much of any item so it’s always fresh. Friendly staff in a very relaxing setting. We will defiantly go back.

I tried this place for the first time today with friends. They use fresh ingredients, and the flavors are comparable to similar places, if not, slightly better than what I have had in the past. We enjoyed the food so much we went back to the all you can eat buffet three times. There is a good variety of food for everyone’s tastes! They have a hibachi grill, and a tasty dessert bar! For $ 10.55 including soda, the price cannot be beat! We will definitely be back!

Kiko used to be my favorite Sushi buffet but unfortunately I don’t see myself ever going back :( A couple months ago I was not so thrilled with the selection of sushi so after our dinner we decided to make another spot our go to. Well our other favorite joint closed so last night we decided to give Kiko another shot. Just thinking about last night again makes me feel a little ill. If you read my previous review on Kiko I specifically go for sushi and my hubs only eats hibachi. If I was only writing about their hibachi station I’d say it still is a solid 4 stars. The guy working behind the grill is extremely friendly and their selection of ingredients are impressive BUT if you are going for sushi it’s not worth it. Last 2 times I went in the rolls were either left out way to long, not available or the selection was awful. One whole side of the sushi buffet was never replenished and we were there at prime time 6:45pm-7:45pm. The place was pretty packed too so I couldn’t figure out the lack of sushi available and the employees just standing around not making sushi. The few pieces I ate were not good. One piece of tuna sashimi was BAD! Like I looked at my husband after I unfortunately already swallowed the whole piece and said«OMG that was disgusting» The thought still makes me cringe. Since the sushi was not good I went for some crab legs which I usually think are good there. Not last night. They were soggy and the meat was yellowish. Ok strike 2 so I went for the chines food although it’s not my thing at these types of places. It was ok. Nothing was great except the mushroom dish. I could have skipped the rest. To top it all off I was not ok with the gentleman in the corner with his arms crossed staring down all the customers. I’m assuming he is the manager or owner but he really made me feel uncomfortable. It’s really a shame that this place went so downhill when I’ve been a dozen or more times in 2013– early 2014 and it was good. Maybe under new management I’m not sure but I won’t be going back again.

We eat here all the time. The sushi is great, the sashimi is always cold, the rolls are plentiful and tasty. My wife loves the tenderloin and the ribs and they are always juicy and delicious. The hibachi is a huge plus as we come here and eat super wealthy when dieting. The seaweed salad is amazing and I cannot say enough about the different seafood salads at the sushi bar. Overall this place is an AMAZING value for the price and it’s our monthly date spot.

What a shame. This was our favorite place 2 years ago. It had good sushi, great buffet, and the best crab legs we ever had. The crab meat would come out of the shell intact in large chunks and so sweet you didn’t need butter. Then things changed within the last 6 months. The quality of the buffet and sushi got worse and service disappeared. I swore off the place until I saw an ad in the paper that it’s under new management. I knew it wouldn’t be a good night when I saw that the sushi chefs were young Latin men. Don’t get me wrong. I love Latin food. But the hope I was going to get authentic sushi was shot to hell. The sushi sucked. Many of the serving plates were empty. A good percentage of the available rolls were saturated with spicy mayonnaise. The rolls were so poorly constructed that they broke apart. Also, it appears that there is a rice shortage because the fish were sliced in thick chunks and placed on a half teaspoon of rice. The buffet was ordinary but again a few of the serving platters were empty. My beloved crab legs were the biggest disappointment. They were dirty and flaked into crumbs when the shells were cracked open. The sweetness was gone and I swear one tasted like death. So so sad. Service was nonexistent. Once served our drinks she disappeared and we were never given refills. Finally, the bill came to us blank. Which confused the crap out of the cashier. Which meant we had to wait until that was all straightened out which annoyed the crap out of me.

We went in with friends. Our waitress forgot my drink and rarely came over to our table unless we called her over. At the end we paid and were about to leave, the waitress comes up to us stating that the tip wasn’t included and DEMANDED we give her a bigger tip! I have never in my life had a waitress especially one who did very little and even messed that up … Ask for a tip! A tip is earned not guaranteed!!!

The price is about the same as any other Japanese Buffet, $ 16-$ 19, and the food here is the best of any buffet in the area. The sushi selection is a bit more limited than other Japanese buffets I have been to in the area, but it is fresh and tasty, standard fare for any good buffet with sushi. Even though the selection is a bit limited I would say it’s better than Ginza’s selection. The hot food has more items from Chinese cuisine than Japanese, but their hot food is fantastic — far better than what I’d expect from an Asian Buffet. Our waitress didn’t seem to pay attention to us at all, and was busy talking to other workers in the restaurant rather than attending to our needs, so I’ll rate this place a 4 rather than a 5. Kiko competes with Ginza in the area, as they both serve sushi. Kiko has slightly better sushi and far better hot food than Ginza, while Ginza has much better service. Both are quite good but I give the edge to Kiko on this one.

8÷13÷14 I met my family here for a quick lunch. It wasn’t very busy, probably after the rush of the lunch crowd. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. It’s an Asian buffet. They have an array of sushi, salads, and hot entrees, and desserts. They even have a hibachi station. Food was fresh. I liked the green beans, mushrooms & coconut shrimp. The calamari salad and salmon sushi was good. Not the best sushi around, but a good place to satisfy your sushi craving. For lunch it was quite a deal at 9.99. I’d come back!

Went here with a friend and my son for dinner. The normal price is $ 16.95 but they were doing a 20% off promotion. Yay! This restaurant was clean with lots of selections. They had a variety of sushi, sashimi, rolls, ceviche, avocado salad, asparagus, seaweed salad, snow crab legs, shrimp cocktail, and more on the main round buffet. The buffet around the walls had mainly Chinese dishes like salt and pepper shrimp, salt and pepper calamari, clams in brown sauce, stir fries, tempuras and more. They also had soups, dessert and a hibachi station where they make you a dish with the ingredients you pick. The only negative was that because the restaurant was pretty empty, the people who worked there all stood on one side watching us get our food which made it a little uncomfortable. Overall, good food and good prices. I guess it would have to be if you’re competing with another sushi restaurant 2 doors down. Competition is good for consumers. :) I will definitely be back. This place is much better than Ginza on boynton and congress.
