Ms. Kate’s Tot Spot

I was blessed when I learned of Ms Kates Tot Spot. Her care, employees and demeanor are unlike any I have ever come across. She is very thorough in her explanation of how her business is ran. We have had meetings with family to ensure everyone is on the same page when it comes to her policy of payment, vacation days and sickness in the daycare. She also makes sure to address any upcoming holidays prior to placing your child in her care. I couldn’t ask for a better place to have my child cared for. Kate and her staff are loving, attentive and they go above and beyond to accommodate the individual needs of your family. She has a perfect manual for parents to read and sign-​giving us a heads up on any and all requirements she needs you to meet while being in her care. When I drop my daughter off every morning, she is greeted by the staff with hugs, smiles and plenty of love. Id say Kate has a very nurturing nature about her and that is so important to me as a parent!
I want to thank Ms. Kate and everyone else who works so hard daily to provide a loving environment for my little one!

My son was enrolled in Kate’s care for 3 weeks. I was grateful that Kate was able to accept him on short notice and my son seemed to enjoy himself while he was there. Unfortunately, after a series of events, including a lack of communication, a demand for money and an inability to put relationships first, my son was terminated from her care. When I missed a payment, Kate chose to not discuss this matter with me, but immediately sent a nasty text message that my son would be terminated from her care. When I apologized and attempted to make future arrangements for day care and payment, Kate chose not to answer. After returning from her vacation, she again never communicated with me directly, but simply placed our belongings in the mail to return them to us. She also kept the two week deposit, claiming one week for the vacation pay (despite her contract stating «one week vacation per year» and my son was only enrolled in her care for 3 weeks). She also justified keeping the second week’s deposit by offering to take my child for just 2 days on dates that my son was not enrolled in her care. I was appalled by the lack of communication, unprofessionalism and was simply left with the feeling that my child was nothing more than a paycheck for her.
