Business Owner
A word from Dr. Takashima… «We are in interesting time, where the importance of collaboration and the ‘world view’ are more important than ever. We can no longer act alone as veterinarians, an association or as a profession. What we do impacts many, as we are impacted by what others do. Technology has helped our profession advance, like others, but to stay relevant, I feel we must stay true to our values of personal compassion, pursuit of excellence, and understanding in embracing the human-animal bond».
He is the past president of The American Animal Hospital Association, The current US Delegate for the World Small Animal Veterinary Association, and voted 2011 Veterinarian of the Year by The Oregon Veterinary Medical Association. He is involved in several committees and advisory boards that focus on the Human-Animal Bond and animal welfare; Global Nutrition, One Health, Pet Partner Research to name a few. He is a sought out speaker Pet Nutrition and Standards of Care.
