History

Established in 1955.

Paradise Cove got its start in the 1950’s. Bo and Margaret Williams started by building a coffee shop. They ran the café, Margaret as the waitress and Bo the cook. Bo sold his roofing business in Eagle rock and they moved to the lake permanently in 1964 and started building the motel. The motel opened its doors on Memorial Day weekend in 1966.

On April-fools day 1969 the café caught fire and burned to the ground. In 1971 they converted the upstairs game room of the motel into a dining room and added a kitchen onto the back of the motel. At that time Bo and Margaret decided to make it a steak house instead of a café. The business slowly grew and an extension was added onto the dining room and a bar was built downstairs.

In the early 90’s Bo retired and sold the business to his daughter Pam. In 2013 Bo’s son Wesley and his wife LeAnn joined the partnership as well as Pam’s son John.

The cove continues to be operated as a family business.
