I went grocery shopping here and it was a pleasant experience. The pre-made sandwiches here are quite tasty as well.

I depend on this store for stocking up on fresh veggies, especially on Wednesdays when you can find good buys on produce like 6/$ 1 avocados, 4/$ 1red peppers, limes 2 lbs/99c, Fuji apples 3 lbs/$ 1, etc. etc. Lots of spices, too. I stock up. If you like Mexican dishes, this is pretty authentic place for the staples. I haven’t noticed a smell, but don’t expect a modern supermarket. This is probably one of the oldest stores in Havasu.

I LOURVE Food city! I swear its a Mexican market, but my Mexican Husband says its not! When we are in town, this is the must place to go(minus the smell) for authentic light crispy tortilla chips, freshly made salsa with no preservatives or additives and tortillas. The even have authentic pasteles for the kids! They have good prices and plentiful of hard to find ingredients that are called for in traditional mexican dishes. You can get your prescription fill too while shopping too!

This grocery store smells and in general looks run down. You would think that such a place would have really cheap prices but don’t be fooled. Safeway is way less expensive. They do have a good alcohol and small cigar selection though.

This is one of those places that smells just like it looks from the outside… kind of stinky. BUT, they are the only place in town that has a few of the food items that one may be looking for to prepare a … how do I say this without sounding racist… ****ehem **** hispanic cousine. Hey Food City — I’ll trade you two more stars for some Lycol and a mop! Whaddya say?
