Orange County Jiu-​Jitsu & MMA offers world class Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu instruction from an active 3x World Champion black belt. We offer 3 levels of Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu classes for all experience levels and fitness levels; our instructors train everyone from beginners to World Champions.

If you have Children and want them to develop self-​confidence, discipline, focus, and teach them how to defend themselves, try out our Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu & mixed martial arts class for kids, taught by former U.S. Marines.

History

Established in 2005.

Orange County Jiu-​Jitsu & MMA has a rich history of having the most prominent Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu World Champions instruct classes. From World Champion and legend, Fernando «Margarida» Pontes to World Champion and UFC fighter, Rani Yahya, to current head instructor and 3x World Champion, Marcel Louzado, OCJJ’s students have been treated to constant world class instruction.

In early 2011 Orange County Jiu-​Jitsu & MMA came under new leadership as a group of former U.S. Marines took control of the academy. The first of many improvements to the academy have taken place, most notably a Children’s martial arts program, which instills character traits the United States Marine Corps is famed for.

Had my siblings train there took a break for while seems the place closed I’m so sad to hear this, every time I ask about their BJJ experience they have such great memories from this place, the students the trainers provided such a great atmosphere. It’s so hard to find a place with dedicated instructors that will top what OCjj had to offer! My siblings really bonded with the instructors got the one on one attention. If you guys ever open a base again let me know!

So –we were very sad when OCJJ closed their doors at the end of February.

OCJJ is a fantastic academy.
I have trained Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and muay thai regularly here for the last two years, but the quality of BJJ program has really picked up in the last months with the addition of head instructor Chris Woolford. He sets a great tone for the gym, leading focused classes that emphasize the minute, often-​missed details within techniques that make BJJ so effective.
The gym stays open later than most (advanced BJJ classes start at 7, with another round of classes following), which making it convenient for my work schedule. It also has a really friendly culture, making it easy for new students to fit in with the group.
I’ve been to a lot of gyms in the area, and there are several good ones, but I would highly recommend checking this one out.

My 6 year old takes kids Muay Thai here twice each week and loves it. Coach Carter and Coach Ben do a great job with the kids. My sons focus, discipline and coordination have all improved… EVERY 6 year old should practice this sport!

I started training Muay Thai here in February, and I have to say it’s completely changed me. I’m in my 30’s, and I had tried a couple of regular conventional gyms the last couple of years, but never stuck with them. A lot of that had to do with the instructors there not really being interested in helping the «Regular Joe» like me achieve my goals, but instead were more focused on the people who probably didn’t really need to be there in the first place, (Ever watch people constantly checking themselves out in the mirrors posted all around 24 Hour Fitness?). I decided to try something different, and I’m glad I did. I actually look forward to going to OCJJ, even after a long day at work. The main reason for that is, (besides getting in shape), are the instructors. No judgments, no egos, if you want to be there, they’ll do everything they can to help you attain your goals. They’re kind, and patient, and work with you whatever your fitness level to help you get better.

Good place to train at, nice friendly staff and Marcel is a legit Black Belt instructor up on the latest techniques. Defiantly not a place where you are buying belt like others around.
This place is at least worth a trial to see if you like it.
