Jeffrey Michaels’ Salon was opened in 1999 by Orange County Hairstylist Jeff Michaels and businessman David Easton with a common goal of simply creating the best salon in the OC. «we have recruited the most talented and educated stylists in the area» says, owner/​manager David Easton. «we love to cater to our clients needs and service is our most important product»

Got another amazing hair cut and balayage highlights from Amanda C. this past weekend @ Jeffrey Michaels. Highly recommend her if you are looking for an experienced colorist/​stylist. I am super picky about my hair and Amanda gets it right every time. She is super sweet & friendly and makes the time pass by quickly as well. :)

I don’t normally write reviews, but I had to for this stylist experience to help anyone else avoid what happened. I had an appointment with Amanda to have blotchy highlights fixed that were done by a different hairdresser. She appeared to be knowledgeable, and had seen me within 24 hours of making the phone call. However, she attempted to blend my bad highlighting job by adding a toner that was darker than my natural color to my roots only. This turned out to be worse than what I had walked in with, and now my hair has additional blotchy toner areas where the foils bled as well (see photo).
My main issue after that was that she attempted to blame most of it on the previous hairdresser or me being too «nit-​picky,» when in fact she had made it much worse. I understand that it’s hard to fix someone else’s work, but you don’t expect to walk out with worse hair than you had previously had; it would’ve been better for her to not do anything. All in all, I didn’t have to pay for what was done and I appreciate that. I just hope that the experience at this salon may be better for someone else.

Truly an excellent place of business. They provide a quality product in a comfortable setting with phenomenal customer service. I called late on a Saturday and David kindly offered to still take me as a walk-​in (even though it meant staying a little late). I usually fumble through explaining what exactly I want to get done on my hair; Madison helped me process what I wanted and gave me some options of what she could do to make it happen. She did such a WONDERFUL job and was so friendly during the visit. She explained what she was doing and what I could do at home to get the look I wanted. And the price was great! Need a new go-​to hair place, this is your place!

I have been going to Amanda for nearly a year now and she does a fantastic job every time! This most recent visit we went slightly blonder. She takes the time to listen to me and gives me her suggestions. I went in with a picture of a haircut I liked, and since she knows the natural texture of my hair (curly, coarse hair), she advised against it bc I would have to style it every day (which doesn’t sound like fun to me). I left loving my hair and highly recommend her!

Love this place! This was the first time that I visited the salon for a balayage with Madison. She is the one of the sweetest stylists I’ve met. She did a wonderful job on my dark hair to get me the look I wanted. The result, perfect! If you need a good professional job done on your hair, this is the place to be in. Everyone is so warm and welcoming I for sure found my stylist and the salon.

Madison is amaze. ing. I called desperate to get in quickly, and got a call back right away, once they opened, to set up a time. My hair was pretty much a skunk striped baylayage nightmare. Madison turned my frown upside down with a subtle update to warm, luxe color, NOT brassy streaky stripes! Price was comparable to what I have paid elsewhere for much worse outcome. I will go back for sure. Try her, she is super sweet and knows her color!

Emily. By far the best hair stylist I have ever had. She gets to know you and it is more of a friendship-​style interaction than a hair stylist and customer. This salon makes you feel like family. You would be wasting your time to go anywhere else. You will not get this perfect service anywhere but Jeffrey Michaels Salon. Definitely ask for Emily. She will know what to do with your hair and have you leaving absolutely perfect.

I have never left this salon disappointed. I started seeing Holly and she gave me an awesome asymmetrical bob that I absolutely loved.
After getting a haircut that I was pretty unhappy with, I made a last minute appointment with Madison to try and get it fixed. She did an awesome job. Never going to another salon again!

I tried this place several times in late 2014-​early 2015 for pixie-​short cuts (and once for a red color weave). I saw a few different stylists (primarily Holly and Annie, neither of whom are there currently) and was consistently happy with the cuts and the service. I like short, bold cuts, and I like experimenting with something a little different each time I sit for an appointment, and all of the stylists I saw were positive, helpful, and provided great suggestions in choosing a style.
The main reasons I stopped coming were that (1) I found a closer, more convenient salon and (2) I found it a bit difficult to book appointments with short notice. These aren’t knocks against the salon, and I think it would be a great fit for someone who’s better at planning a few weeks ahead or who has the flexibility to get a cut in the middle of a weekday.

My girl friend and I were taking an entire Friday to do a girls relaxation day in celebration of her birthday. I found the salon (after spending way too much time on Unilocal… mayyybe bc I got distracted bookmarking ice cream places), called a week before (which I know is super short notice), and spoke to David, one of the owners. He was SO nice and accommodating: the schedule was pretty booked for the day, but he made it work. What I appreciated was that he asked what services we were wanting, and based on that, he chose the best stylist for each of us.
The day before, our stylists confirmed via phone and text, and we were all set. However, the next day, my stylist was sick so I received a phone call from Tanya stating that she could take me instead if I was ok with it, which was very nice of her to offer on the same-​day notice. About an hour before our appointments, Tanya called again and offered to have us come earlier as both of our stylists were ahead of schedule, so we headed there right away. Really appreciated the call because we were both really excited to get our hair did!
Went in and Tanya did a consultation with me. I had a lot of questions and concerns and she was extremely patient and talked me through the processes. that alone was about 30minutes. What I appreciated was her suggestions based on what I was looking for, and I couldn’t ask for a better result! I have gotten SO many compliments on my hair color. she did such an amazing job.
I will DEFINITELY be back again!

Stylist: I did not get the color I wanted My roots were super light then my natural Brown color then orange then yellow with blonde and dark hair on the bottom. Clearly not ombré. this salon is a higher end salon and from past experiences I make the hour drive specifically to get the amazing service I’ve gotten in the past. I spent almost 8 hours here and didn’t get the color I wanted.
Sidenote: I scheduled the appointment with David and he is the the sweetest guy around very very helpful with steller customer service. This has been my go to place for any color treatments and I’ve seen Amaris and Staci and they are AMAZING like truly 100% miracle workers.

I have been seeing Brittany for about 4 years now. I have never gotten my hair cut professionally before i found her (when i was younger my mom cut it. as i got older i just cut it myself with scissors. Im 28 now) She does amazing work! She listens to your concerns and knows exactly what to do to your hair. In October/​November 2012, i went a bit adventures and she helped me with ombré-​ing my hair with a deep purple/​red color to it. I LOVED IT!
The people there are super friendly and the place is always clean (of course unless they just cut someone’s hair). They always make you feel welcome and always make sure you’re comfortable.
I highly recommend this salon!
