New concept. Nice new interiors. That said… the prices are much more now and you have to custom order the fabric, then wait 3 – 5 days to receive it… Oh you also pay for shipping if its under $ 50. Too bad they changed this store to be like other higher priced fabric stores. Photo’s below are old. Now there’s just racks of small swatches.

Unfortunately, we won’t be back due to poor service and communication from management. Ordered two rugs and was told we would receive in 2 weeks. I received one rug a month later and was still waiting on the second rug 6 weeks later. I called Home Fabrics to request an eta since no one from the store had contacted me with an update. They were unable to confirm when I would receive my second rug. I’m giving two stars because I did receive at least one rug and they refunded the second rug over the phone so I wouldn’t have to come in. However, when you’re paying over $ 700 for a rug I would expect a bit more professionalism and effort on the managers part to make the delivery happen… seemed as if she didn’t care about the Customer.

New business model. All fabrics are ordered, 3 days to 3 weeks! This use to be a great store with great prices and selection. Now they are inconvenient and higher priced.

I got my fabric in less than the time they estimated. It was well packaged and just what I expected.

The store has been completely remodeled! I’m a little bummed that you have to wait for fabric but it’s just a few days and the place looks amazing with a few home furnishings that are totally worth checking out.

I recently recovered 26 outdoor cushions using 2 different fabrics. I ordered a Sunbrella for a contrast piping(5 yards) and a fabric promoted by an employee that had a guarantee similar to Sunbrella but at a lower cost(27 yards). I jumped at the lower cost fabric because this project was expensive and I thought I would save a few dollars and have a fabric with the same guarantee and similar look. Within 2 months the fabric faded so badly I contacted the store. It took a little time and a bit of work, but Homefabrics completely stood behind their guarantee. They replaced the fabric and the had all the cushions recovered at their expense. I was concerned that this would be a battle and although a little inconvenient, HomeFabrics stood by their guarantee and made the situation right.

This store no longer carries a large supply of reasonably priced home décor fabrics in stock. There are just a few bolts on the walls and all other fabrics must be ordered, just as you would do at any other high-priced designer store. The center of the store has a large selection of area rugs, and it seems that the rugs are the new focus of the store. I shopped here many times in the past and got great deals on fabrics for window treatments, tablecloths, etc. It has been over a year since I last came and it is no longer the same. Very disappointed :-(

Great selection of rugs– all sizes– always a big sale– would highly recommend as a first stop to shop. Outside of store is no indication to the treasures waiting inside!

Hidden gem with amazing prices on fabrics. Here’s a tip — if you purchase samples, if you bring back your receipt within 30 days they will credit the amount you spent towards your next purchase.

Love this place! I was looking for fabric to make some pillow covers and honestly Joann’s is pretty pricey especially for the nicer looking patterns. They have a good selection organized by color and type of fabric. I was able to snag some clearance fabric too! Fabric prices range but the ones that I was interested in ranged from 7 – 15 dollars a yard. Also, if they don’t have any more yardage of a certain fabric you can have them call other locations to look for it, although you need to pay for shipping. They also have cushions foams and they offer services making curtains cushions etc.

I agree with the first reviewer. This place is great! Has a wide selection of beautiful fabrics and great prices. Prices are lower than Joann’s sales items for upholstery fabric!

This place is so unassuming from the outside. In a rundown stip mall in Lake Forest, I stopped in to take a quick look on my way to one of my favorite stores, Ross. I was looking for an area rug for my living room and shopping on a budget. I’ve looked online at Overstock(which has great deals but you can’t touch or feel the rugs before you buy them). Homefabrics had some great rugs that were on sale. I was looking for a shag rug and they had exactly what I wanted in the color I wanted and the price was extremely affordable. I paid around $ 260 for a 5×7 soft shag rug. They also have free delivery and lots of fabrics for the home. The rug is very good quality and looks great in my living room.

First to review? Say what?! Maybe because this nifty store is really well-hidden between an antique store and a Petco in a relatively low-key(read quasi abandoned ghost town) parking lot. I am a lady of many talents, well just a few: I am good at kicking ass, taking names and decorating houses … well, there is this other thing, but let’s keep this fabric store review PG. As I have been currently decorating my bedroom solo and on a budget, I found myself in desperate need of some gorgeous handcrafted pillows. I was watching some design show and they said that if you could do anything to your home to spice it up, just buy some pillows. Well, we all know that is a bunch of malarkey, but pillows and fabric are quasi-important to all home décor. Enter Homefabrics & Rugs, they have a great selection of fabrics for any occasion. I was able to find exactly the style I was looking for at exactly a price that didn’t make me want to sell an organ. They make great custom pillows on a rocking budget, and I am also impressed with their knowledgeable salespeople and supportive staff. All in all, this is a great store that more people should go to for all your pillow and fabrication needs. Most people don’t realize that you could make your own bed for the price of bed clothes at a low-brow store, now that’s pretty amazeballs. Also, in case anyone was wondering, there is a 10% discount for the trade, and they offer a lot of cool sales and discounts once you are in their system. Decorate away, dear Unilocalmigos, decorate away.
