This is kind of strange, but in the Lake Forest Interstate Oasis is a movie popcorn place. It’s just the ticket if you suddenly have a craving for movie popcorn, but the other popcorn choices aren’t as good. The staff is friendlier and more efficient compared to the other snack and fast food options at the Oasis.

As soon as you walk into the Lake Forest Oasis you are greeted with the heavenly aroma of fresh popped kettle popcorn and it only gets better from there. Once you walk up to the Doc Popcorn Kiosk you are warmly received by the staff which includes the proprietors. They are very helpful, informative and knowledgeable about their product. There are many flavors to chose from, they have samples and portions are generous. I personally think the carmel corn gives Garrett’s a run for their money. In summary, a very well run operation with a great product that you must try!

This is the Bland Man’s Garrett’s Popcorn.
The caramel had a strange taste to it that I just couldn’t put my finger on. My husband said it was just ok but I just found it strange and just not worth eating. It almost had a fruityness to it that is just not right.
The cheddar was very lackluster in flavor and could have been poured from a bag of Smartpop.
Overall, pretty boring and definitely not worth trying again.
*sigh* When is Garrett’s going to come north of the city?!!
