Cbs Boardshop

Ordered and paid for a board (that i need soon!) just to find out this morning via email it was out of stock. I called in to find out when the board was sold (hoping it wasn’t this morning in-​store) but they didn’t even know. They made no effort to compensate me for my time and awful shopping experience and ultimately they didn’t seem sorry at all.
(fyi, this is my first and hopefully last Unilocal review)

These dudes rule! The boys over at CBS are the coolest /​most knowledgeable when it comes to Ski/​Snowboard equipment. Got a complete board package with boots and its still riding/​holding up strong. (Although it may be time for an upgrade haha) They made sure I was getting what I wanted and i can say hands down i am MORE THAN happy with my purchase. He even taught me a few things as well as help me set it up, thats way too cool (most people at other stores send you on your way). Salomon boots and board have insane quality being my first purchase of new equipment all at once, its all held together for 2+ seasons and I have been using/​abusing it since the first day out riding. Marcus and his Dad are truly an authentic and genuine duo. Their shop is a blessing in disguise. So much good product for half the costs. They both know what they are talking about, as well as Garrett, when it comes to riding. They are very knowledgable people when giving their opinion. Living in Orange County we don’t get much snow, so it’s always an adventure to get to the mountains. With their prices I now have gas money and lift ticket money so I can get to the mountains more. They make it happen.

Picked up a board here last weekend and have to say I was quite pleased. When you walk in you notice its a small little shop, but they definitely have a lot to offer you. We were helped out by a man named Eric and he was very informative. I’m a beginner so he helped find my size, what kind of board I needed, etc. I ended up with a reverse camber 2015 Élan board. I was stoked! I also noticed they currently have a 50% off sale on all women’s clothing! Not a huge selection but worth giving it a peek!

I just went to cbs to buy a board and boots and they were closed. Im very disappointed because on the door and their Unilocal page they say they close at 8.

If you’re looking to buy any snowboard or ski gear… This is the place! My only regret is that I didn’t find them sooner. They have a huge selection of stuff that’s at whole sale price. Highly recommend!!!

Love this little shop. Came here for new snowboard gear because mine was 10+ years old. Prices were very reasonable and they had a good selection of items. I purchased boots, pants and a jacket.
One of the employees was extremely helpful with finding the right boots for my feet, which can be a very hard thing to do.
Also, I didn’t even buy my board and bindings at the shop but they still helped me set up everything.

Love these guys! I first became a customer back when I was 9 years old. Brian actually taught me how to ski. I snowboard now and usually most my friends do too so I always take them there to pick up their first set of gear as they are so knowledgeable, and have been in this industry for so long, there is no question that they know what they’re doing. I never feel rushed either. Thanks Brian and Mark!!!

Had a good experience with this shop! They moved recently to a smaller shop yet still have tons and tons of product. Tons of guys and girl snow gear, and also have someone great prices on a lot of their stock. Very good selection of boards, boots and bindings. Have a great repair/​wax shop. Overall good place to check out. One of the real board shops left around. Check them out.

This place is a diamond in the rough. Great deals, lots of stock. I met Mark who was friendly, easy going and patient. He helped me find the equipment I needed — and was extremely knowledgeable — and didn’t try to up-​sell me something I didn’t need. I’ve found my shop for all my winter needs!

Mark was the friendly associate who came to help me out when I visited this establishment last month. I am an experienced snowboarder comfortable riding double blacks at Mammoth but I am still using my 11 year old beginner no-​name wide body board. Mark made some recommendations for new boards to help me rock this season. I ride switchfoot so I was looking for dual-​tipped boards. In addition, I am 6 feet tall and wear a size 12 shoe so my options are limited. However, he was able to find me 4 different boards that would fit my measurements and help me kick my runs up a notch. Among them were: an Élan Camber Twin Tip Wide Body, a Prodigy, a Saloman and an Architec board.
Mark also took the time to show me some new boots and explain the benefits of laces with Autolock boots versus disk laces such as the Boa’s. While I was there Mark also recommended upgrading my bindings to Flow Flight 5 and above since I am already a huge fan of thet Flow Step In Binding system. The benefits of upgrading my bindings will give me better control since the newer Flight’s have the stiffness control dial that my earlier generation bindings are missing.
So in a nutshell, Mark took the time to show me boards as well as explain why I should focus on camber vs rocker. He didn’t pressure me to buy anything. The boards he showed me are between $ 229 and $ 279 for the Elans. CBS BoardShop also has lots of other gear too. I came here previously a couple of years back to buy some Demon armor and I was just as pleased with the service then as I am now. I look forward to continuing to upgrade my gear as my skills progress and CBS is going to be my go-​to place going forward. I highly recommend checking them out. :-)

The service here is great. Several times I have thought I needed new stuff but these guys were awesome in telling me my stuff is just fine and WHY it’s just fine. This is why whenever I need to buy stuff, this is the shop.

Ive been shopping here since i started riding in 1994. These guys have always made the upmost effort for me and my family and i wouldnt shop anywhere elce!

I love supporting local businesses, especially a place like this. No messing around, these guys (unlike at general sporting goods stores) are here specifically to set you up with snowboard and ski gear. I bring my board here at the beginning of every season to get a tune up (wax, sharpening, base) for around $ 30 bucks and they always do a killer job. They don’t try to upsell you on stuff you don’t need and run a great local shop. The owner Mark is a chill, very knowledgeable guy, who knows how to run a real shop. I even bought my awesome park board here for a pretty penny, but the guy who helped me pick it out was super helpful. Definitely have my business!

I’ve visited this store several times over the past 2 years and have always gotten good customer service. They tell you how things should feel/​fit and walk you through different options. They’re small enough that they can give you that kind of attention.

Horrible shop, horrible customer service, horrible organization. Don’t bother ordering a board from here because they will NOT contact you back, even to let you know that they couldn’t order it for you. I will never step foot in this shop again or recommend anyone to go here.

Support small businesses! I was on Craigslist looking for snowboarding stuff for fun and I came across their ad and so I decided to check it out. This place is a gem! EVERYTHING is under retail and they do their best to keep their prices below retail. The people who work here are incredibly friendly and VERY helpful. The epitome of customer service. I walked out with a pair of goggles but I had to return them since they didn’t fit well with my helmet but I ended up getting another pair for my girlfriend and the person working was extremely helpful! Check out this shop! Support small businesses!

Super Organized store.
Very informative when you need help on selecting your item and questions on lift ticket.
Price is a bit high to me. So I didn’t find my board and left. However, the board designs are super awesome. Very latest design and sharp! ^_​^
Great parking lot. Not so noticeable while it’s not that big and next to a bakery store.

Okay, with all of this great snow falling, I just had to get some gear. I have spent the last 2 weeks on craigslist which is how I found CBS. They are a bit tricky to find, look for BevMo on El Toro Road, they are right next door.
The place isn’t big but they have lots to choose from. Prices range from entry level to expert gear.
So, back to my craigslist board. I picked one up but it needed a tune-​up and I got scammed on the bindings. I met Mark, one of the owners and he was awesome! He confirmed that my board needed a waxing and suggested some bindings. He could have totally sold me on something way more advanced than what I needed but he actually talked me into less expensive bindings than what I was looking at.
The bottom line is that I won’t go anywhere else for gear ever again, not just because I like what they have to offer but more because I like the way they offer it. Expert advise, no pressure, great prices, and an awesome selection. Make the trip, it is worth it!
