With an international cast of 67 artists, Cirque du Soleil welcomes more than 1,650

spectators ten times a week. The venue is located in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort.

The 1,671-seat showroom is the first free-​standing permanent theatre ever built for

Cirque du Soleil. The dynamic white structure was designed to convey elegance and sensuality with the addition of fabric and tension reminiscent of a Big Top.

This Cirque du Soleil creation is an unforgettable journey through this universe — at once threatening and exhilarating, frightening and familiar. La Nouba is the story of all stories, the site of all mysteries, where dreams and nightmares sleep side by side.

La Nouba contains two types of families or groups and throughout this theatrical ride the magic and fantasy of the colorful Cirques (circus people) clash with the monochromatic world of the Urbains (urbanites). But as in fairy tales, it is not so much this contrast as the interplay between these two groups, which sparks our curiosity and feeds our imagination.

From this encounter is born fear and ecstasy. From this encounter is born La Nouba. The show title originates from the French phrase «faire la Nouba,» which means to party, to live it up.

Business Owner

Guy Laliberté was born in Québec City in 1959. An accordionist, stilt-​walker and fire-​eater, he founded Quebec’s first internationally-​renowned circus with the support of a small group of accomplices. Mr. Laliberté was the first to orchestrate the union of cultures and artistic and acrobatic disciplines that has become the hallmark of Cirque du Soleil. Since 1984, he has guided the creative team through the creation of every show and contributed to elevating the circus arts to the level of the great artistic disciplines and to the masses. Cirque du Soleil has become an international organization, as much in terms of its makeup as in the scope of its activities and influence. Guy Laliberté now heads an organization with activities on five continents.

Love it !
It’s hard to get 5 stars from me but this was well deserved. Wish I could give it a six !
First of all they start the show in the audience a little early probably to keep the kiddos entertained! Very interactive! «Piñata»
The show itself is amazing and will have you in awe! Love all the acrobats and the cyclists were awesome!
The comic relieve from the literal two clowns was a bit boring at times –but we’re in Disney –geared towards the kiddos …
My tips:
1. Park in the garage –free parking and you are very close to the theater.
2. Don’t buy snacks at the show –they are all prepackaged.
3. Sit close– farther back you will miss a lot of the details. I saw someone fall twice ! Very interesting how he recovered !
4. First floor gift shop has a ton of variety– even clearance items –don’t buy on the second floor.

To be honest, I was skeptical and against seeing this show from the get go when my girlfriend suggested we go here. I looked at some pictures of the cast and thought it’s going to be silly, weird, and a waste of time.
Boy was I wrong (for the most part).
It was our first date, and I was a bit anxious half the time contemplating wrapping my arm around her while we watch. I was really close at one point because she laid her head on my shoulder almost as if she’s hinting me to do it already. On one hand I wanted to show confidence, but on the other hand it’s our first date, so she might feel uncomfortable. In the end, I didn’t go through with it. I told her about it later that night, and she said she probably wouldn’t have minded and had no idea I was so worked up about it. I thought she’s saying that just to appease me because I found out later that she’s not really into the whole PDA thing. It all worked out in the end because we’re still together. :)
I thought the show was the best thing ever since sliced bread, while she thought it was average. She informed me the best ones are in Vegas because the stage was made for the show there.
Anyways, I was entertained from the get go. I’m the kind of guy who rarely show expression and not easily entertained, but I thought the comic relief was well done.
There were couple of mistakes here and there but nothing major. Some of the acts were out of place and a bit too long.
The live music and soundtrack were phenomenal. I’d go back just for those alone.
Overall, it was one heck of an experience. I can’t wait to go see the ones in Vegas!
It’s a bit pricey, but if you can afford it and never been to a cirque, you’re gonna like what you’ll see. I guarantee it.

I’ve seen this show multiple times and it never gets old. There are so many layers to every scene — it keeps the minds of all ages stimulated every moment. It’s hard to find a more talented bunch of performers. Superb!

This was pretty entertaining, I loved the trapeze and trampoline artists. I’ve seen 5 of the Cirque shows so in comparison I would have liked to see the design of the stage area a little more elaborate and decorative. The clowns were pretty good, I usually get bored with them after a few times, but I get that they are filling the time between performers.
All in all though, this would be a great show to see when taking a break from the theme parks.

What an incredible show! La Nouba is the first Cirque du Soleil show I’ve had the privilege to experience. And I enjoyed it so much I added to my bucket list to see every Cirque du Soleil show out there.
My amazing boyfriend surprised me with tickets to La Nouba for my birthday. We had awesome seats towards the front. With the set-​up of the theater, I’m not sure any of the seats are bad.
The performers… such talent! Such athleticism! It’s something you have to see to really appreciate. I can’t describe everything here and do it justice. The combination of acrobatics and live music is just beyond amazing.
La Nouba is an awesome addition to the Orlando entertainment scene. You must experience this incredible show at least once.

I think La Nouba highlights one of the weaknesses of Unilocal — it’s pretty difficult to boil an experience like Cirque du Soleil into a 1 to 5 star rating.
I personally did not enjoy La Nouba for a few reasons. The biggie is that the acts were just not that impressive compared to all of the other Cirque shows I have seen. For example, the balancing platform act in La Nouba was very similar to an act in Kurios which I just saw a few weeks ago, except that the La Nouba performer generally did an easier routine and actually made a bunch of mistakes while juggling.
Secondly, the pacing, costumes and set design were pretty incongruous and confusing. There is a random ballerina going through the middle of several acts, a BMX biker in full Tour de France gear, and an army people wearing what look like concentration camp uniforms. Very strange overall…
Finally, it wasn’t evident from the Unilocal reviews written so far, but this show is really geared toward youngsters and includes A LOT of inane slapstick clown routines which the kids in the audience absolutely loved. They come out literally between every act and do almost exactly the same bit (involving either a piñata suit or a crumpled paper airplane).
Basically I think La Nouba balances out to about a 2 because it’s really more like a 1 for mature adults or Cirque aficionados, but apparently a solid 5 if you’re under 10 years old.

Super fun! But would I expect anything less? It’s Cirque!
I have already been to a Cirque du Soleil show before in New York, but not La Nouba. I knew to expect lots of acrobatics, trapeze, and balancing acts. What I didn’t expect was how funny the show was going to be! Seriously, it was comical. The humor started about 10 mins before the official start time with a few clowns walking around through the audience doing some scenes.
We sat in row HH, center stage, which was only a few rows from the back, but the entire theater has great views. The semi-​circle theater had no bad seat and I think that’s a plus for La Nouba. The stage was also very large compared to what I experienced at Cirque in New York. Beautiful, creative show. I just only wish the story line throughout the show was developed a bit more.
You are asked to not take any videos or photos, which I followed suite and put my phone away and honestly it made my experience that much more enjoyable. It meant I was fully present, even if I wasn’t able to share video of the amazingly fit fabric aerial dancer who flew by my seat, with my Snapchat followers.
I wish they had a bigger lobby and a photographer inside for groups. They did have two cast members dressed up on stilts outside, but no official photographer and they were standing in bad lighting.
Cirque is close to surface parking lots as well as the new parking garage at Disney Springs.

Spectacular performance art… Cirque du Soliel La Nouba was non-​stop action packed family friendly entertainment! I really don’t have much more to say other than that.
All the performance artists are highly skilled and each act kept me captivated from beginning to end. I didn’t notice until the very end, but the music is live, which was very impressive.
As for seating, honestly it seems like most of the seating gives you a nice view of everything. Front and center might not even be the best in the house because at times you will have to look upwards… so actually sitting further back is ideal. We sat in section 202 and the view was perfect.
Whether you are local or a visitor if you have the means, you should definitely attend La Nouba. They do have FL resident discounts and some companies will provide discounts through your benefits.

HIGHLY recommend this show! The show is in the Cirque’s OWN theater in Downtown Disney. Now, if you’re like me, you have no idea what the significance of the own theater is. Well let me just explain to you that it is a SIGNIFICANT difference between seeing a Cirque show in a hockey stadium or basketball court, than in its own theater.
This show was absolutely amazing. The clowns were hilarious, the timing was a good length, and the music was alluring. They also had a really cool souvenir shop downstairs with a variety of goodies to buy. I would love to go to this show again. It’s worth every penny and it’s good for families, friends, and dates alike :)

My family are Cirque Du Soleil snobs. I’ve seen more than a dozen shows and this one in particular plays alike a golden oldie. It’s an amalgamation of all the best parts of the former traveling shows and offers it to you at a great price. Aerobics, humor, and extreme sports, all within an hour and a half. It’s awesome and paced to keep you always impressed and bought in to the action. Let’s just say these Canadians and circus acts have honed the formula over the last two decades.
This show is definitely worth the money and should be part of your itinerary when you visit.
Side note — get a seat in the middle and farther back. It will cost half as much as front and center but you will capture so much more!

I’ve seen my fair share of Cirque shows and it makes me sad to say that La Nouba is my least favorite. In comparison to the others the stage is much much smaller which affected the entire show. Everyone seemed to be crammed into a small space, making it difficult to determine which part of the act you should be focusing on and leaving you with the feeling of paranoia that you would be missing other key components. They were just doing too much at once and at times it became just too overwhelming.
I also found the story line to La Nouba quite confusing, the first handful of acts were pretty random and I honestly didn’t really see any story line to tie it all together until about an hour into the show. The acts were good but again due to limited stage size and props, some where greater than others. Another pet peeve of mine was toward the end they used quite a bit of strobe lighting, but these lights became blinding shining directly into the audiences eyes — not my favorite.
Tickets for La Nouba are relatively obtain, they sell them both online as well as in person at the box office. They have 2 shows daily at 6pm and 9pm, each show running about 1h40m. Usually when people buy show tickets they want to be front and center, but from my experience I like to be center stage but much further back — that way you get a clear view of the entire stage. This is especially important for Cirque shows since they utilize the ENTIRE stage (including the airspace above the stage) as well as the walkways between each section. I highly recommend sitting in section 204, you get a great pano view of the entire stage.

Ah, Cirque du Soleil shows are always amazing to watch! Dress code for this show is definitely more casual than the usual show since it is situated in Downtown Disney. I saw people with a wide arrange of attire from formal to extremely casual (tank tops, flip flops, shorts), so do not worry about dress code. Feel free to dress how you would like.
While La Nouba is a good show, there are some in Las Vegas and some I have seen in SoCal that are better in my opinion. They tend to have a subtle story you can follow, which I enjoy. Also, the props, performances, and execution are better in some of those shows, like Ka. However, this show has cheaper tickets compared to some of the other Cirque shows, especially if you are a Florida Resident.
Do not get me wrong though, La Noumba is a great show and I love how it is situated in Downtown Disney. This means I can browse and eat in Downtown Disney before and after the show! Also, parking is free in the orange garage that is close to Cirque Theater portion of Downtown Disney.
Since I wanted a souvenir cup and was hot from walking around Downtown Disney, I got a «smoothie» with half mango and half strawberry lemonade. It was basically a slushy and not really a smoothie, but was decent. After getting seated, I noticed they only charged us for the normal cup (and not the souvenir cup), which was nice.
For the show itself, I enjoyed the two clowns that help provide comic relief! They start their act before the show begins, so make sure to try to get to your seats on time! They also are sprinkled into the show to provide a nice laugh here and there. The live music was also great! In fact, I did not even notice it was live music until part way through the show!
Even though I have seen Chinese Yo-​Yo performances before, the La Nouba Asian girls doing Chinese Yo-​Yo tricks and acrobatic feats is my favorite Chinese Yo-​Yo performance so far! In fact, it was my favorite part of the show! They were in sync and provided something different than other Cirque shows I have seen.
Of course, the other acrobatic feats are amazing, even though I already have seen similar acts in other shows! The time passed by seamlessly and I thoroughly enjoyed the show!
This is something to experience at least once if you are already in the area.

This is the 3rd Cirque that I am watching and it exceeded my expectations. It was artistic and a show of incredible athleticism.
Acrobats swinging from the ceiling, tightrope walking and bike riding, yo-​yos were all done with perfection.
Trampolines were great as well they gave a visual effect of people walking on the side of the building.
2 hours passed without me getting bored/​restless or waiting for an intermission.
If you are in Orland — take your family here!

First let me say, do not let my 4star review get you down. La Nouba is a great family experience, and really targeted towards kids. This show is simply amazing! We decided to see this show because our son had never experienced a cirque show, so we figured it would be good exposure for him. He loved it! The clowns that provide entertainment before the show and between acts are hilarious!
Now to the reason. That I had to give this show 4 stars: 1) I’m pretty certain that, if ever in the area again, I’m not certain I would watch it again. 2) after having seen multiple Cirque shows in Vegas, La Nouba falls short in comparison to those.

There are no words that can justify how miraculous the show is. I’ve seen La Nouba twice, and I’m still amazed by its energetic performance. The first time was on the «spur of the moment» (2009), and that was my very first Cirque du Soleil show. I’m a big fan since then. I saw it again last year (2014), when I was in Downtown Disney’s.
It isn’t easy to describe such a show, you have to see. However it features some eye-​catching dancers, striking acrobats and gymnasts, amazing cyclist, «empty-​headed» yet talented clowns, colorful costumes and entertaining live music. My favorites are: the silly cleaning lady, the «giant» Titan, the young Chinese kids playing with their yo-​yo, and the «HOT» jaw– dropping aerial ballet dancer in red silky ribbon, oh my!
Facts not to be missed:
— La Nouba = «faire la Nouba» = «to party, to live it up.»
— The show is about 90 minutes with no intermission.
— The theater (huge tent-​like) is located at Downtown Disney’s Westside.
— No performing animals.
— There is NO bad seat.
— Try to glimpse at the gift shop.
— Keep in mind, La Nouba is a sell-​out show, try to purchase your tickets in advance.
— Come at least 15 minutes to the theatre, if you were no-​show 10 minutes pre-​show, your tickets might be resold.
— Prices might be a bit steep, but its worth it.

What an amazing show! It’s so different when you watch it in person. You find yourself holding your breath during some parts of the show. Everything was really impressive from the jump rope show, the bike, tumbling, tight rope, the live music, etc. So much going on, so much to see! It’s great for kids and adults. Florida residents get discounts on the tickets when you go through Disney. Look into it. It’s worth it. There really isn’t a bad seat.

An amazing must see performance. Cirque du Soleil La Nouba is loaded with talented and daring acrobats, musicians, and a couple of funny clowns. We were amazed by pretty much every performance and even were amused with the breaks that were filled by the comical clowns. The theater is very intimate and pretty much every seat is good.
I wouldn’t say this show is geared toward children, but children will definitely find this fascinating. I might steer clear of bringing too young of kids. The theater does offer booster type seats and it is Disney so your kids will be made to feel at home. The acting however pretty much would appeal to any age.
The location is at the end of Downtown Disney so be prepared to walk or take a boat to be on time. It is directly across from The House of Blues so I also recommend reservations there or any of the other restaurants in Downtown Disney after the show.

Antes que vocês me julguem pelas 3 estrelas, eu sentei num lugar com visão parcial do palco e tive problemas com o meu ingresso que pedi para enviarem via correio e ele nunca chegou e tive que pegar outro (só dando o numero da compra) lá.
O show por ser do Cirque já diz muita coisa: é bom e vale a pena gastar uma grana neles porém eu estava meio pobre e queria assistir de qualquer forma. O espetáculo conta com gente pulando uns muros no meio do palco, uns palhaços andando por todo canto e tinha hora que eu não sabia para onde olhar pois é tanta coisa acontecendo ao mesmo tempo que fiquei simplesmente perdido.
As coisas lá dentro para comer são bem acima do preço normal para humanos normais porém há coisas que rolam de pagar só para ter uma recordação — e eu não fiz isso.
Parte boa/​ruim ao mesmo tempo é que você é colocado na cadeira menos pior automaticamente. Torça para não ter uma família de mexicanos que não para de trocar de cadeira na sua frente e reze para, caso tenha uma família de mexicanos assim, que eles se comportem e controlem as crianças. É feio fazer algumas coisas que os vi fazendo como sentando em cadeira que não era deles e dando problemas pro pessoal depois (nada contra, pessoal do México… só foi um probleminha temporário).
