Rose Gables Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I stayed here for our 6^th wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful weekend! We had never stayed in a bed & breakfast before and decided on a whim to book.
We arrived Friday just after 4 pm and Ray checked us in. He was very kind and helpful and showed us all around the beautiful house. The parlor is where you have breakfast in the morning and Laurie is an amazing cook, the food was all delicious and beautifully presented.
We stayed in the Pearls and Lace room and it’s gorgeous! Huge bathroom with a large shower and separate large bathtub. Also a walk-​in closet in the bathroom! This room also has two decks but we spent more time on the main deck off the parlor because we mostly spent time in our room in the evenings and it was pretty cold at night in November.
They also have a baby grand piano in the parlor which guests are allowed to play so that was a lot of fun for my husband and I since we both play.
I would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a romantic getaway in the mountains!

We are in the middle of our stay here and it is FANTASTIC!!! Our room (Pearls and Lace) is so beautiful, it’s like a fairytale. Laurie is extremely nice and an amazing cook. We had a to die for gourmet breakfast complete with chocolate covered strawberry. I highly recommend staying here. It’s perfect.

My fiancé (boyfriend at that time) and I stayed here for a few days last year for our winter vacation. It was absolutely perfect! The house and room inside and out was meticulously clean and the view was gorgeous! The gourmet breakfasts every morning were delicious! They also had cookies and tea/​coffee/​water every evening in the family room displayed upon our return. The fireplace, variety of movies, chocolate with sparkling cider, and white robes added to the romance and relaxation of the place. I loved it more than staying at a hotel. I definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast if you’re looking for a romantic getaway or just want to relax away from home.

Everything about this place is relaxing. From the king size bed to oversize bathtub and the views are out of this world. Laurie makes amazing breakfast every morning. Rose gables is close to the arrowhead village and only about 30 min from big bear. On our weekend we had an amazing relaxing time. Lived up here for two years never felt this relaxed. Great job rose gables and thanks for having us up! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a weekend getaway even if you live close or far it’s worth it! Thanks again!!!

I stayed at Rose Gables B and B over the weekend with my husband and we stayed in the Victoria Gardens room. We had a beautiful time; Everything about this stay was delightful, from the room’s size, elegance and décor, delicious treats throughout the day, cleanliness and hospitality to the one of a kind breakfast served. We spent time in the little balcony as well. Laurie and Ray made everything about out stay wonderful. I would definitely recommend for any occassion.

I took my 82 year old mother to Lake Arrowhead last summer for some time together and we stayed the first night here and we loved it. The room was very clean and beautiful with a nice view and spacious bathroom. The room we had, had a little table and 2 chairs in front of the bay window. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows and I am very picky about beds and pillows! :) The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed meeting the ther people that were there. My mom and I stayed out on the deck in a comfy swing, enjoying the stars and city lights and talked for a while. It was so peaceful. It was not my first B & B but it was my mothers. We could only stay one night due to the stairs. All rooms require going up stairs and that is hard for her to do. It is located a ways from the town but is a nice, pretty drive. The owners were very friendly and easy to reach when I had questions while searching where to stay. I hope to come back with my husband or daugher some day. I took some nice pictures but do not know how to submit them! Such a pretty room with table and chairs in front of the bay window.

My wife and I spent the wknd here on a mini get away. Best getaway in a long time.
Due to circumstances we arrived later than anticipated. Laurie was there and very accommodating. Had us checked in and gave us the tour, showed us to our room, which was everything we anticipated. Next morning breakfast was awesome! Laurie is an awesome innkeeper, and the views are the best, we will definitely be back.

My bf and I stayed here recently for a weekend getaway and I’m so glad we did! We made our reservation via their website, and received a confirmation email promptly the next morning – a simple, hassle-​free process.
We stayed in the «Sweet Dreams» room. It’s fairly large, with high ceilings and a pretty huge bathroom. As Carol H. mentioned, the view from that room – really, anywhere on that property – is amazing! And everything inside was elegant and comfortable. Each room is equipped with big, fluffy white robes, and a corkscrew and champagne flutes. There are games, books, and DVDs throughout the house if you’re looking for a little indoor entertainment, too.
You can tell that Laurie puts her heart and soul into her B&B. Her hospitality made us feel very welcome and at ease. Be sure to try her cookies – she bakes a different kind daily, from scratch. They were soooo tasty! And the breakfast each morning had a variety of options, and was delicious and filling.
Rose Gables has a nice little balcony on the front of the house overlooking the trees and lake on the second floor. We spent one peaceful evening sitting on a swing on the huge wraparound porch in back, sipping wine and looking at the stars above and desert in the valley below. Perk: if you’re into photography… you can get some fantastic shots from that back porch at sunset.
If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and be treated like royalty, come to Rose Gables!

Nestled in the mountains of Lake Arrowhead, this beautiful Bed & Breakfast had amazing views, great breakfast, and absolutely charming rooms.
Our room had a big warm fireplace and a panoramic view overlooking the stunning mountains. Everything from the window-​side table area to the full bathroom spruced up with complimentary bath salts was just perfect.
They even sprinkled the bed with rose petals and left us some chocolates and sparkling cider (it was Valentines Day).
We stayed for two nights and each morning they offered fresh tea and coffee downstairs. The breakfast was extraordinary! Everything she set on the table both mornings was ridiculously good – she always had a dessert item too. We were very impressed with this quaint bed and breakfast and had an unforgettable experience here.

Excellent place to stay and by the way, the owners are very nice and attentive. Laurie is the best cook. The food was very good and the set up was elegant. Didn’t want to eat it because it was a beautiful experience. The outside deck in the patio has a beautiful view and you can see Victorville while enjoying your cup of tea or coffee. The rooms have everything you need, they set it up very nice. Fireplace, heat is excellent. You just want to stay in your room all night. They have movies and games for you to enjoy. Anyhow, the place is excellent and the owners are the best. Highly recommend it. They make you feel comfortable.

It is true that it can be difficult to reach a live person when attempting to reach Rose Gables by phone (see Dave W’s review). However, I have always been called back within a day. I recently had to cancel a 2 night reservation on short notice. Laurie was gracious and understanding. For this reason alone, I look forward to staying at this facility in the future. not a review, but a heads-​up, as of 1/​15/​2014 — — based on great reviews posted, I’ve attempted to contact this place to make a reservation. Two phone messages to their local phone number, and an e-​mail to a reservation site… after nearly a week, no response. Original website reservation said they were booked, but i was trying to contact them to verify, and to offer alternate dates, as they suggested on their website.
Finally just booked at another B&B in Lake Arrowhead.
