Used this company to book my snorkel excursion online. I have no complaints. Got a great price for the excursion and they emailed me the details soon after the booking. I’m a local Kihei resident and was visiting the west side for a fun touristy day. Decided on going snorkeling and needed to rent some gear. Found this shop on Unilocal and I’m so glad I did! Nic was extremely helpful and the prices were great! He even told me about a few cool snorkel spots I’ve never been to! Also found out they have a shop here in Kihei so will be back soon to book a whale watch! Thanks Nic!

My third time on Maui with my wife and each time We have been to a different snorkel and bodyboard rental place.
The previous two times I visited Maui with my wife I rented at the other chain stores
I came out over spending and I felt like I was kind pressured to get stuff.
This time at the snorkel store I felt like I was presented with options and the two guys at the shop were super friendly and knowledgeable
I ended up getting snorkel set, fins, bodyboard and also purchased a luau and atv activity from them they recommended which was great
I will definitely come back here for my rentals every time I come to Maui. I also recommend dry snorkel
This place was a breath of fresh air from my previous rental experiences
Also I was able to make an easy walk from the Westin so location was great for me

Applause, applause, applause! I simply cannot say enough great things about The Snorkel Store. We were referred to Daniel & Lisa by a friend for our very first visit to Maui. To say they made life simple is an understatement. We provided Lisa with a must see/​do list for our visit and she not only booked all of our activities, but made working out separate payments for 7 ladies a smooth & easy transaction. We zip-​lined, snorkeled, attended a Luau, toured Hana & had bomb snorkeling gear!!! I would recommend to anyone & will definitely call of them in the future when I return!!!

We rented snorkel sets for the week which allowed us to stop at any beach or cove we wanted to explore! Was a great way to entertain our teens all week. They were vey helpful in there with a detailed map and recommendations for great places to eat, see and explore! I highly recommend this as a one stop shop to get your vacation started right!

So, before arriving in Maui, I spoke with Lisa, and Scott. Once we arrived in Maui, we dealt with Micah. He set us up with a Beach Bundle, and took care of our Molokini snorkle trip, and our Luau. They also gave us great snorkle beach ideas. Very knowledgeable about the area. Today we returned all the we rented, and we met by Micah and Daniel. On the phone or in person, all of these folks were awesome. They helped us, answered questions, fitted us for our snorkling gear, and their prices were great. Thank you Snorkle Store for the cherry on top of our vacation.5 Stars.

I pre-​ordered snorkel gear and also some activities for our anticipated trip to Maui– we arrived and picked up our gear and they were awesome!!! Gave us a detailed guide where to go and what to do for great snorkeling while we were in town. The chairs and umbrella were the BEST investment ever!!! book ahead or stop by when you are in town!!! you will not be disappointed.

All of the guys who work at the Snorkle store are great, patient and friendly. The gear is top notch for snorkle rental as well. We went on their Snorkle Safari” which was a big disappointment for us for many reasons – no promised refreshments or snacks, cold churning water, guide so-​so, very few fish. The one cool thing was when the guide showed my kids an octopus-​but he made the octopus squirt ink which to me felt a little unkind. However, when we explained our disappointments to Micah, the owner, he immediately refunded our money and took notes on how to improve the experience for the next time.
All in all. The Snorkle Store is a great resource and they have good gear and the management seems to be really focused on making their customers totally happy!!!

The Snorkel Store provided us with more than just great snorkeling gear. They gave us an experience. My girlfriend and I were on our first trip to Maui, and I had never snorkeled before. Lisa, who works at the Lahaina location, was very friendly and helped me overcome any trepidation I had about snorkeling. We felt very welcomed.
In addition to providing us with a great deal and gear, she also recommended some really good spots to snorkel as well as give us advice on other fun activities in Maui. (She was so helpful that we ended up booking other activities with them.) Two of the snorkeling spots had reefs and fish right off the shore, and the other had a sea turtle. Whenever we needed more advice on good spots, we picked up the phone, and the Snorkel store delivered.
When we needed to renew our rentals, Micah was very kind to us and provided us with a good deal. All in all, I’ll be sure to stop by the Snorkel Store next time I’m in Maui.

Rented from these folks for 12 days for myself and my family. As a SCUBA diver, I knew what we would be looking for. We found problem free gear, knowledgeable staff, and good prices; can’t ask for more.
I used my gear almost every day through strong currents, rough chop, and some 40 foot free dives and it all worked as it should, which is quite impressive for a rental shop.

I had an overall positive experience with The Snorkel Store. I rented two snorkel sets for one week. The fitting was quick an easy, the staff were knowledgable and personable and the equipment was reasonably priced.
A few days later one of the snorkels was malfunctioning an in trying to troubleshoot I accidentally broke the clip. I immediately started dreading the exchange of taking it in but the staff replaced the clip and the snorkel with no problem and we were in and out in less than five minutes (the return process was just as quick) which was perfect because I certainly don’t want to waste any of my precious beach time hassling about a broken snorkel clip.

We decided to rent from here after reading other’s reviews. And they were all spot on. The experience was great, the equipment was top notch and fitting was fast and easy. Lisa, who helped us was able to take a quick look and get us the right fits immediately. We stopped as soon as we got into Maui to pick up our equipment and we are so glad we did. The advice from Lisa on where to snorkel and what to see helped us plan our time in Maui. She even made recommendations for other activities that were perfect for us. Thanks to Lisa our time in Maui was the absolute best!
We prepaid the rentals and they through in a beach chair as a courtesy. Nice touch!

Small little snorkel tour & rental store inside a moderate-​sized plaza near the main road.
Came here to rent some snorkeling equipment — we got some fins, floating belts, goggles, and snorkels. All equipment were in good, working condition. The store employee was friendly and knowledgeable, and it was amusing watching him flirt with all the female customers lolz
Prices were reasonable, and definitely a lot cheaper than the rental booths you’ll find along the beach. And although they look dorky, we recommend renting the floating belts as it’ll allow you to fully enjoy your snorkeling experience without having to concentrate on floating/​swimming.

Friendly and knowledgable staff had us fitted and ready to go in 10 minutes. Provided us with a map and directions to snorkel spots throughout the island. Staff was very helpful and accommodating even with another larger group in store picking up equipment.
When pre-​ordering or placing reservation online they have 2 for 1 snorkel rentals available. Another group in store was there with a Groupon. Mask, snorkel and fins rental w/​a carrying bag was $ 25/​person for a week w/​the online reservation rate. Most beach rental rates were upwards of $ 75/​week. They also have discounted rates on paddle boards and zip lining that were cheaper than the hotel rate or anything we found on the Ka’anapali beach walk.

I chose to go to the Snorkel Store because of the good reviews and the good deals offered. I was not disappointed. It was super easy to sign up online and get the two for one deal. When we arrived an hour later, they were ready for us, and fitting our gear was easy. We were out the door quickly to get to the beach with great quality clean gear. We were guided to all the good spots that lead to some great views of all the sea life in Maui. Highly recommended.
For those of you relying on buses and public transport, the Lahaina store is a easy walk from the bus stop too.

These guys had a great price on snorkel equipment (better than any we passed on Front Street) and were super helpful and friendly.
The snorkel equipment was top quality as well. Felt like real snorkeling equipment, not like what I’d buy myself at Target if left to my own volition. Everything was in pristine condition.
We had a nice chat with the fella who got us all set up. He gave us good tips on where to go, a few coupons for food in town, and he didn’t hassle us for additional charges when were a bit late.
So, highly recommended.
Pro-​tip: There is a bus stop right nearby too if you’re busing from black rock area.
