Fresh ingredients, wood-fired crust. What’s there not to love? Maybe just the lack of seating. Yes. The lack of seating. But, this is a mobile pizzeria as it is a food truck. Run by very down-to-earth likeable guys, there’s not much to hate about The Pizza Connection. The portions are huge and very much worth the money. Take it to go and enjoy fresh made pizza right by the ocean.

I went here because it was close to our hotel and the kids wanted pizza. Did not expect to have one of the best pies I’ve ever tasted. Seriously good! Get the True Hawaiian, or whatever it’s called. Life changing.

I was really pleased to find that there was a pizzeria of Maui with a wood-fire stove. This is just a food truck and not great for eating at, but great for takeout. I ordered four pizzas for a group: margarita, sausage with mushroom, pepperoni with olives, and the works. Key to a good pizza is the crust, and it was nice and crispy on all four. I think my favorite was the sausage and mushroom, but all four were good. We will definitely be back there again.

This is the place for pizza on Maui! We do the Margarita pizza with fresh mushrooms on top every time!!! I send every one I know over here for pizza, its got a sort of hipster feel to it due to the fact that its a wagon in the middle of the parking lot but the pizza that comes out of that oven is magic!

If you love delicious wood fired pizza — fresh toppings on a thin, chewy, slightly salty handmade dough, served with a smile by kind people who are proud of their food — then please give this place your appetite. Pizza appealed to our family tonight, but we are pretty diverse in our tastes. We have a foodie and a picky eater and this joint worked for both. We ordered a half-cheese, half-sausage pie for the boys and the staff totally paid attention when I asked for no basil and for the sausage half not to touch the other half — I think I said a «scant half sausage» :-) My husband and I shared another one and I forget the name but it had pepperoni, onion, and black olives, also delicious. The boys finished theirs so fast we ordered another of the same for them. The fridge was low on drinks but we had water and split a Coke. 3 pies was more than enough food for 4 of us, but we ate almost every scrap of crust anyway because it was toothsome and flavorful. We ate in – the 4-top happened to be open when we arrived to return some snorkel gear next door, so we decided to try the place — and it was definitely worth the casual parking lot vibe to get that pizza hot and crispy right from the oven. No wait, just 10 minutes until the food was ready, and they were doing a slow paced but steady business the whole time we were there. Reggae too, and an almost full moon under clear skies tonight. Mahalo! P. S. Maui is awesome, but after a week of 30 minute waits for pricey meals that the kids only ate a fraction of, paying $ 50 cash(3 pizzas x $ 12 to $ 16 each + 4 non alcoholic beverages) for something satisfying and familiar was a welcome change!

The pizza here is excellent! Tonight was the second time my wife and I have eaten here, and will be back again for sure! That wood fired taste and good people are what really set The pizza connection apart from others.

We embraced Unilocal’s 4.5 rating & have never been more disappointed! We agree 100% with«Jackie T.» and«Evie H.» below. Tis a «pizza» in name only! We’ve enjoyed many varieties of pizza in 49 states in our 73 years. This was the poorest excuse for pizza we’ve ever tried to eat. Its thin crust was tough & burned on the bottom. The toppings were so few & tasteless that we could not verify just what toppings we had ordered. We gnawed on half & trashed the remainder. Save your money for some good beer!

Great Pizza for take away! They are not always there, as it is outside, so if the weather is bad, they may not be there.

Disappointing experience here. Our pizza was slightly overdone on top. The cheese was chewy and not in a good way. I’ve had wood-fired pizza many times and this version was rather sad. Nothing Hawaiian about it either. Also of note was the lack of cleanliness. Staff don’t seem to have assigned tasks so the guy taking your money is also the one topping your pizza with basil … without washing his hands in between. Won’t be back since there are plenty of food options in the area. Elites or foodies should avoid this place.

4 Stars for service, 3 Stars for pizza. The man who took my order was extremely pleasant and helpful. The pizza itself was nothing fancy. Wasn’t expecting a trailer oven type set up, but it worked!

Amazing ingredients and friendly(although rushed /busy) service. Oven roasted result is deliciousness.

Eh If this is the best pizza on Maui like many other reviews are saying, then that’s quite sad. I thought the pizza here was mediocre at best and quite overpriced. If anyone has had Blaze on the mainland, the wood-fired part is pretty much the same. The pizza is thin and really not that big. They also do not use pizza boxes for takeout; they just put it on a paper plate and cover it with aluminum foil which made the pizza kind of soggy within the 6 minutes it took us to get back to our hotel room. The worst part is that I tried to call in my order and when I asked for what toppings they had, the guy on the phone referred me to Unilocal which I had ALREADY looked through thoroughly before calling in. Also, I had looked at their website too. I told him I wasn’t able to find a list on Unilocal or their website and asked if he could just name a few of the toppings they offer. He replied, «I’m just a guy who works here, there’s a list on Unilocal.» Well… a whole lot of help that is… The positives are that I liked the pineapples and the Maui sweet onions and that the crust was decent.

We called ahead to order the S&P pizza. Our pizza was ready by the time we got there. A bit pricey for what you get, but then again we’re in Maui. The pizza was good — a thin crust with a sweet tomato sauce. The people who own this place were very friendly.

Prices aren’t cheap, but you get what you pay for! Watch the guys make & cook your pizza in a wood grill right on the spot! Call ahead if you don’t want to wait.

Had to try based on the reviews and great location which is close to where we’re staying. The pizza did not disappoint. Crunchy but chewy crust and tasty fresh toppings. My husband and I shared one pizza, but we weren’t super hungry. If you’re starving, I’d recommend more than 1 pizza to share and maybe have a little leftover. The menu of suggestions is small, but you can create your own as well. I’ll definitely be back.

Who knew you could find decent pizza on Maui? The Pizza Connection guys are a laid back group of Euro transplants dishing out legit, wood oven fired thin crust pizza. We really enjoyed the Flyin’ Hawaiian… pepperoni, ham, jalapenos, maui gold pineapple… all on a thin fire charred crust. Yum. The Margarita was good too. Love how chill owner, Andy, and his crew are. We’d definitely be back.

After stuffing our face with poke for three days straight we were craving something a little different. This hit the spot! What’s better than a wood fire oven pizza truck in a parking lot with a couple of tables & chairs playing Michael Jackson tunes? Each pizza is freshly made to order and there were about 5 – 6 options to choose from, including the classic Margherita, S&P(Italian Sausage, Parmesan, roasted red peppers and onions), Hawaiian inspired(w/pineapple as one of the toppings), and a few other options. We had the S&P and really enjoyed it. The two guys running the show were really nice. Our crust needed a tad bit extra cooking on the bottom to give it that crunch but it tasted pretty good. Each pizza has only about 6 small pieces, so if you have more than two people in your party I would order more than one pie. Each pie ranges $ 14 – 20 depending on the toppings.

My expectations were met when I had their pizza. I called it in, was told it would be ready in 45 minutes, sure enough it was when I showed up. Honestly nothing out of the ordinary if you’ve had wood fed /brick oven pizza before. The cook time was spot on, ingredients tasted fresh, and portion size was decent. Pretty neat that they’ve been pulling this off in a parking lot. We had the Flyin-Hawaiian(don’t know why people call a pizza with pineapple Hawaiian, but thats a different subject) and a plain cheese pizza for my daughter. Both were solid pizza’s… Mahalo Pizza Connection!

Busy day out in Maui, including a trip to urgent care for my daughter had us not wanting to leave the house. So thanks to Unilocal, we found The Pizza Connection. Pretty darn good pizza! We tried the Flyin Hawaiian, Quattro Stagione, and the Calabrese. Mind you these aren’t gigantic pizzas and there were three of us. Honestly they all sounded so good we wanted to try all three. All were amaze-balls but our favorite was the Flyin’ Hawaiian. Great guys running the joint and we pulled up to get our pizza and were back to the house enjoying our dinner in no time. Can’t wait to head back to the island. A definite must try!
