Fresh, locally caught fish. Sustainability. We try and utilize as much local product from Maui as possible. Our menu is fun and always changing from Lobster and Crab Grilled Cheese to Rainbow Quinoa Sweet Potato Salad. Our menu has gluten free options, vegan and vegetarian options.

Established in 2015.
Down the Hatch was started by three childhood best friends that moved to Maui 8 years ago in hopes of building a restaurant/bar that would cater to the community and to guests visiting as well.

Business Owner
Javier has a background in Hospitality. He has worked in this industry for 15 years in locations such as the Four Seasons Miami, the Oasis Cancun, the Westin Villas on Maui, and the Setai Hotel on South Beach. Javier has a passion for food and drinks, he is always trying to exceed the expectations of his guests.
