Ate there a few times over the last few months. It seems like every time it gets better. The food and the service. They have very good prices, and great margaritas.

After spending a week in Maui with overpriced meals, it was nice to find this Mexican restaurant. 24 oz beer for $ 7, reasonably priced DELICIOUS burritos, we were very happy. This is a traditional Mexican restaraunt with the usual menu items.

This has to be the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Must visit if you are in Maui.

Hidden from the hustle & bustle of the Front St. Tourist traps lies Amigos a hidden little gem with authentic and reasonably priced Mexican food. I love the Pastor tacos & the chili relleno is to die for they are huge & full of cheese. Complimentary chips & salsa which is awesome because most places on Maui charge! The service is always friendly and they make you feel very welcome as if you are part of the family. I never feel rushed. The drinks can be inconsistent some times I taste the tequila in my drink other times I feel like they forgot to put it in. I am a bartender so I take pride in my cocktails that’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. However I will still continue to be a loyal customer and try to come in once a week! They also offer Kama’aina discount so if you live here make sure to show your Hawaiian I.D.

Service was good. Food was average. Definitely not the«authentic» Mexican food that I am used to.

Went to amigos on Front Street. I ordered the nachos with ground beef. Also I had two ground beef tacos. My wife ordered the chicken burrito. If you get the Maui booklet. When you buy 1 meal you get the second one half off. The nachos are big enough for two people. The people are nice. The food was good. If you are looking for good Mexican food at a reasonable price. This is the place for you.

Amigos on Front Street was a good Mexican restaurant. I ordered a chicken burrito and my husband ordered ground beef nachos. The chicken burrito was a very good size and it filled me up. The nachos were also a pretty good size and very tasty. We had a coupon so the prices were pretty good. We spent $ 21 and some change for 2 meals. It was a nice atmosphere although the music was pretty loud; the service was welcoming and fast. If you are looking for Mexican food while you’re on Maui, I would suggest Amigos on Front Street.

Food is not authentic! Everything taste like its out of a package, can and processed. People are nice and friendly but they took more than 30 minutes to bring back our food.

We ate here on our honeymoon and thought it was good for the price. We are from Texas so Mexican is one of our favorites. We had chicken fajitas which were 12.99 and cheese enchiladas and they were 9.99. The only thing I would not recommend getting is a frozen strawberry margarita. It tasted like water. Maybe it was an off night I don’t know. Also the first round of chips and salsa is free the next round was $ 3. Overall we would come again. Not bad! The waitstaff was super nice!

Amigos in the Wharf moved to a larger space(Old Pancho Leftys location). Being hard-up for Mexican Food I gave it another chance. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The beans tasted home-made, the shrimp and steak were seasoned and the overall taste was a lot better. I will definitely being going back to Amigos again.

Great Mexican food. Almost best meal I’ve had since I’ve been to Maui. Very close to what I can get at home. Great food, reasonable price and good service.

Horrible, terrible, don’t waste your time. You would think they would be ready for Cinco De Mayo… But they were not even close!

This place has the best Mexican food on the island. As a matter fact it’s one of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had even on the mainland. This place is hidden behind the wharf but it’s sure worth finding. This might be the best and most inexpensive meal you’ll have on the island

Sorry the food isn’t that good here, really a place to skip! I ate here twice, once I ordered a simple shrimp burrito, bill came out to $ 10.89 it’s like really! The shrimp came out and was old and dark, looked like it’s been reused, reheated several times, ewwww, second time I ordered a breakfast burrito, those people always want to pull a fast one, once before too I ordered chips and salsa, the dumb guy who rang me up, he truly is dumb asked if I wanted my change back, I was taking it to go, so why should he keep it! rip offs! anyhow, as for the breakfast burrito I was also taking it to go and when my receipt came was close to 10 bucks I looked at it and had a surcharge of. 50 cents I asked what is that, it was a charge for taking it to go, for a tiny container a stupid styrofoam container where just a hot dog fits, OMG! I was like no I’m not paying for this, the damn burrito was tiny and was 7.98 . These people will get you if you let them, the classic tourist trap on Front, but these people really over due it here, I don’t know if Maui has any kind of idea on consumer protection, therefore there should be a consumers affairs agency, which I’m about to look into to reports crooked businesses such as this, enough is enough!

I am very happy we stumbled upon this place. Amigo’s is tucked away in the back of a strip mall on Front Street. Although it’s hard to find, it is definitely worth trying. The prices were very inexpensive too. We spent about 50 dollars for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks. Not a bad deal for this area at all. Our server was extremely friendly and the food was authentic. Being from San Diego, I had to find some Mexican food that was just Mexican food, not fusion or fancy, and this place took care of my craving. The enchiladas are really good but the portion was a little small so I got a taco a la carte as well. Another big plus is that they serve breakfast all day. My wife really liked the breakfast burrito. The also have a drink special here made with Mexican grapefruit soda and tequila called a Paloma, I would recommend trying it.

Average Mexican food. Pricey for what they offer and atmosphere. Chicken tostada was ok, not great. Carne asada tostada meat wasn’t very good. The meat was chewy and about ½″ squares. Not like real carne asada. Burrito was ok if at half the price.
