Edward M Kramer, MD

I am an alopecia areata patient and went to see Dr. Kramer for steroid injections in my eyebrows and eyelids. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable in answering any questions I had. Even though the injections can be somewhat uncomfortable, Dr. Kramer and his MA did an excellent job making sure that they were not too intolerable. The entire staff was so attentive and courteous from when I entered the door until I left. I have an immense amount of confidence in Dr. Kramer and recommend his practice, Five Stars!

Did Coolsculpting with Lauren Balbas, Physician Assistant. I have considered it for awhile and had some doubts after reading reviews on realself. Lauren spent a lot of time with me going over the details of the procedure and answered all of my questions. She made the process simple and was very knowledgable. I’ve had great results and no adverse side effects. I would recommend Lauren to anyone looking at the Coolscultping procedure.

There are not enough kind things that I can say about Dr Kramer.
He is a kind man and an excellent Doctor.
Dr Kramer treated my awful condition called xanthomas, which are horrible fatty deposits around the eyes. No one could help me with this socially debilitating condition. But… Dr Kramer has.
He is an honest, caring and a talented dermatologist. All important things to factor in when making a decision to help with your skin. It’s paramount to be treated right, on every level.
His office is beautiful and the staff are super nice.
I recommend him without hesitation.
I am so grateful to have met him.
He has changed my life.
When no other Doctor could.

This summer I had a Fraxel: Dual laser treatment at a very reputable dermatology office close to Dr. Kramer’s office (it was NOT Dr. Kramer’s office, just a high profile competitor in the same area). After my face shedded the brown scab layer, I thought I was healing fine and that my hyperpigmentation was finally going to be an issue I could leave behind me. Well, about 2 – 3 weeks post-​procedure, my face developed tiny bumps and began itching like a MOTHER! Nothing in the entire world made it better. I went back to the office where I had the fraxel done and they shrugged it off as a common part of the healing process, tossed me some random samples of corticosteroid cream and sort of made me feel like an annoying idiot for even coming in. The next day, I woke up with BLOODY SCRATCH MARKS all over my face; apparently, it was so itchy that while I slept I must have literally clawed my face off. Thanks to positive reviews on Unilocal,I rolled the dice and called Dr. Kramer’s office as soon as they opened — and they were so empathetic they agreed to squeeze me in the same day — a Friday, no less! They were all sooooooo nice and professional and truly made me feel like I was a guest in their home. The office is super clean, tastefully decorated and just gorgeous. Since this was a last-​minute appointment made out of desperation, I had no choice but to bring my 10 month old and 2 year old. It was literally a circus and the staff (especially Dr. Kramer) was over-​the-​top kind to my wild little munchkins. Best of all, Dr. Kramer really cared and patiently listened to everything I had to say about my skin (history/​concerns/​regimen/​goals). Within a few days of following his treatment plan, my skin was itch-​free. Today, I am about 4 months post-​procedure and I will be going back to this office to see how they can help with my bumpy face texture, as it has never resolved. I will never get another treatment at the office where I had the fraxel. They don’t listen and don’t care. I am so grateful for Dr. Kramer’s office!
**On a side note: I have since learned that a pretty large percentage of patients develop a rough looking, «orange peel» texture after receiving a fraxel laser treatment. PLEASE be advised and do your research before getting anything like this!!! I wish more than anything I would have NEVER done it!!**

Worst experience at a Dermatologist EVER because of Dr. Edward Hicks. I had a great Derm in Boca Raton Florida, but moving here now, was stuck with BCBS Insurance, saw this guy. The nurses and front office people were very nice but the Dr. was a total DUD. Twice he ruined my skin, I can’t believe I got suckered by this guy — I am guessing he is just scamming the Insurance company, because he uses the liquid Nitrogen like a vegas SLOT MACHINE. He scarred me the first time, and when I said, I dont’ want it the second time, I came in for dermatitis, he said Ï didn’t scar you, It’ doesn’t scar, I said I don’t even see any moles at all, why do I need it, He said OH these little (invisible) tiny bumbs, and I said I have VERY THIN SKIN this is MY FACE I dont want to scar and he said dont worry I now have SEVEN GIANT HOLES in my face OOZING awful, This guy is a QUACK looking for Insurance money. Stay away. I am telling everyone I can, and I am warning You all as well.

I have seen Dr. Kramer for my skin for several years now. He is the kindest man, and the most caring dermatologist I have met. His work has been for me, always excellent. I have had problems with reactions to one of the medications I was given on repeated visits in the hospital. Dr. Kramer always took care of the issue with characteristic modestly and a completely pleasant attitude. Same for his wonderful staff and excellent facialist in his Laguna Niguel office. Definitely five stars! Wonderful to have him here.

First I would like to say I had a bad experience with another local Dermatologist, Dr. Sikorski, and after my initial consultation with her I was so put off by the whole unprofessional experience that it took me several years to muster up the courage to see another Cosmetic Dermatologist again. But when I did, I entered Dr. Edward Kramers office… Night & Day difference!
He restored any and all confidence I had with seeing a Dermatologist again. He took his time. Really looked closely at my skin. Made notes of his findings as well as gave me options. I especially appreciated the time and honest feedback. And he genuinely seemed empathetic about how I felt. I’m very self conscious and I have very oily skin he realized this recommended I immediately go on Retin A cream while I thought about the other options they had to offer. His staff was amazing and friendly. His office is clean and new. I stop by every few months to pick up a tube of Retin-​A cream and I’m greeted with a friendly smile every time.
And if and when I’m ready to take a leap of faith, I’ll definitely do it with Dr. Kramer.

Well it’s been a year since I was a patient. I went in for 3 small moles to be removed on my legs… And one next to my ear. A year later I look like I have 3 cigarette burns on my legs to the point people have asked what happened. Then to top that off this dr charged $ 1200 for mole removal! I was like wth… My portion was a mere 375 which this office has you leave cc info on file to charge. However they waited a year to charge my card and without notice! When I called the lady was like oh we forgot … So I asked to be sent a receipt, nope never got it. The office is brand new the front girl at the time was nice but I wouldn’t return.

This place is fantastic! It’s always daunting to get any type of surgery, but everybody here was super friendly and helpful. I had a lump removed from my neck, and it was painless and healed perfectly. Definitely would recommend this place!

I have be here to see Dr. Kramer twice. The first time was to remove a cyst and the second time was to have him look at an oil burn I got while cooking. Both times I left feeling really taken care of.
The staff from the front desk to the doctor himself are extremely friendly. The receptionist is so sweet. When I called in to make an appointment I felt like I was talking to family! The nurse is awesome. She’s very knowledgable, helpful and caring. She always makes conversation and makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. After I got my cyst removed I wanted to take a picture of it, and the nurse helped me spread it out on the tray for maximum effect lol. And lastly, Dr. Kramer takes care of all my concerns fully and completely. He answers any questions I have and gives me samples so I don’t have to go out and buy expensive creams or gels just to use a little bit.
And if the great services here aren’t reason enough, the office is located right next door to Loehmanns! Woohoo! Perfect for passing time if you’re early for an appointment or waiting on someone else. I like this place so much I’m actually on time for my appointments, which says a lot.

It’s so nice to not only have your expectations met, but exceeded. I chose Dr Edwards based on other Unilocal reviews and I agree completely with their high regard for him. I was lucky to get an appointment the very day I called due to a cancellation. Every aspect of the visit was just great — the best doctor appointment I’ve ever had, really. Easy location, free and ample parking, friendly reception staff, nicely furnished offices, a very friendly and informative nurse. Dr Edwards himself was thorough, patient, efficient, without rushing, and answered all questions and handled all concerns. Friendly nurse returned to finish up, review follow up procedures, be sure any questions were answered. A great experience all the way around. I recommend this doctor and his office enthusiastically.

Dr Hicks is the best! Caring, communicative, and considerate… I have seen Dr Kramer and Shin Lin in the past — today was the first time I met Dr. Hicks — I must say– I have always been treated really good here — but today — he took the time and went the extra mile — Thank you Dr. Hicks! In today’s world — I think authentic, genuine good people deserve a shout out!
