History

Established in 2007.

Dr. Altuwaijri is a diplomate of both the American Board of Vascular Surgery and the American Board of General Surgery. She received her training in General Surgery at the University of California, San Diego. She then went on for fellowship in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She achieved an outstanding academic and clinical record with exceptional operative skills and clinical judgment. Dr. Altuwaijri received the highest recognition from the Chairman and Staff at the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in outstanding operating skill during her training. She opened her own practice and specializes exclusively in the in-​office, minimally invasive treatment of vein disease (spider veins, varicose veins) in Laguna Hills at the Taj Mahal Medical Center.

Maraya Altuwaijri, M.D., F.A.C.S., R.P.V.I., is certified by the American Board of Vascular Surgery and the American Board of General Surgery, and received her General Surgery training from the University of California, San Diego.

During her fellowship in Vascular & Endovascular Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, she achieved an outstanding academic and clinical record, and was commended for exceptional clinical judgment. She also received the highest recognition from the Chairman and Staff of the Vascular Surgery Department at the Mayo Clinic for outstanding operating skill during her training.

Dr. Altuwaijri is one of the first physicians in the United States to earn the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) credential from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), the highest standard in vascular ultrasound interpretation.
