Seaside Laguna Inn & Suites

Not a pleasant hotel to stay at. Mold in the shower ceiling, bathroom sink doesn’t drain even after 8 hours, and the shower drain plate wasn’t installed properly. Pictures attached!

We love this place, it was really nice and quiet, and loved the ocean view rooms! And we walked to downtown, which was only a mile away. Everything is very centrally located, and you have to check out the Mozambique restaurant right across the street! It goes off! The only complaint I have is the bed, not the bed itself, but it’s on a metal tin frame and every time you get in in or out of the bed, you hit your foot on it, and it’s very loud and it hurts. LOL. But the bed itself was very very comfortable.

A couple of years ago this was a decent place to stay. A couple of really nice older gentlemen ran the front desk. Recently stayed there and left thinking how unprofessional the young managers they have there now are. Especially the young man on days wearing the black baseball hat that had DOPE written on the front of it. He said he was one of the owners when we asked to speak to one. He never told us his name, but he has no people skills whatsoever. My husband and I left there and swore we would never be back. If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would.

for 130.00 including tax a night. They tried to charge us 189.00 plus a 12% tax. Showed them my booking info and they only then agreed to the 130.00 but then added another 18.00 tax on to that. Left feeling cheated and very disrespected. Totally ruined our whole trip.

Probably wouldn’t stay here next time. Was an Ok location… we had an ocean view but not ocean front. Our balcony looked over an alley with 3 houses on it… beyond those houses was the ocean.
It’s very cozy /​small. The bed and pillows were super uncomfortable, my husband and I woke up really sore the next morning. The room said a queen size bed but in fact was a full size.
Since the doors face pch it’s super loud at night. You hear everything and I mean everything. We kept getting woken up from the cars racing down pch in the middle the night.
Also, there was a loud metal sound coming from the bed frame everytime we sat on or moved on the bed.
Very uncomfortable stay!

for my 21^st birthday. I booked the family room with an ocean view. First impressions were that the rooms were very nice and one of the owners who was working at night was nice and friendly and told me and my friend if we needed a late check out the next day it would be fine since we didn’t check in until about 9:30−10PM. The next morning, I tried to call the hotel 3 times. Twice on my cell phone but no one was answering the phone and once on the phone provided in the room… No answer on either and not even a dial tone on the phone provided. Figured he had put in late check out since we spoke about it the night before. The next thing I know, the «GM» of the hotel comes knocking and very rudely tells us we need to leave and were late to check out– telling us that people were waiting for the room (it was 11:45AM and check in is at 3PM). The room was dirty and not kept clean and neat. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. My experience was terrible and felt like a burden when I’m PAYING for this room!
Only gave 2 stars because of the view and the nice owner who worked at night.

for my mother’s day weekend. The pictures online make it seem super nice, but in reality it really is not. I am not sure that it is any better than a Motel6. The room I got (2 beds on 1^st floor) was the size of a shoe box. What was more concerning is that the hotels phone number kept saying it was no longer in service. Once i got there I made the front desk aware of it and called right infront of them to hear the message and they didn’t seem to concern about it :-(the bathroom shower is tiny and needs remodeling. It looked dirty so I showered with my flip flops on. The water pressure stinks. I was in the shower then the water would go super cold or super hot when some else use it :-(I felt this was overpriced for what I got and for what it is. Only plus was the mini frig because I got snacks and drinks for the weekend and that the beach was like 500ft away.

I sent 3 of my employees to OC to work for a week. The reservation was «pay on arrival», but was booked on my company credit card.
Once my employees arrived, they were told the credit card system was down. The person at the front desk demanded cash and for all nights in advance.
The front desk staff was very rude to my employees. My employees did not have $ 500.00 cash on them to pay for the room and the hotel would not work with them at all.
Total bullshit. We ended up cancelling and finding better rooms right down the road for less.
We are coming back in december to do more work in OC and I promise we won’t even look at this dump again.

It is a bait and Switch. They will Charge $ 35 more than they price says… It is their new policy because the last time I stayed there they did not have this new fee they just made up. Resort Fee ??? For what? It is a beat up beach hotel. I went there the second time because the promised to Upgrade me to a very large room. THEY DIDN’T. The BED SUCKED, and there is No INTERNET. If you have att your phone will barely work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Check other hotels.

and checked Unilocal for reviews. So far I was disappointed. Upon arrival I got a phone call from Saul owner that the merchant credit wasn’t working and that they were only going to take cash.
didn’t mention that there was more additional fee upon arrival at the hotel. They charge an additional $ 70 for «utilities».
Saul «knocked off» 10% off for the inconvenience. Since we only can pay cash. He worked it out to which was going to be $ 300+ to $ 236, then when I paid he took more $ 250. He then said «utilities» again. Whatever. I also, knew he was trying to charge a little more where he can. After arriving and getting our room, room 103. It was really small, with 1 table lamp for the whole rooms lightening. Beds were ok, not so comfortable I guess you get what you paid for. Since I assumed it got good reviews I assumed it was accurate.
The bathroom sink was remodeled but not anything else. The room next to us was being remodeled and we were inconveniently placed next to that room that was getting renovated, which means loud clanking noises, around 9am and during our showers, we experienced inconsistent water temperatures. My daughter and I both were surprised at the extreme hot and cold temperatures. I told Saul, but it happened again and again. Our last day there, we lost power in our room around 9am. Which I didn’t even bother to tell Saul since we were checking out at 11a. The tv turned on and off the power in the bathroom didn’t work. The lights shut off in the bathroom during my inconsistent shower… The shower stall was disgusting and needed a new look. The drain didn’t completely drain the water during your showers. There was mold, and rust around the shower. Now I Wouldn’t totally trust Unilocal anymore. We were disappointed I wasted my money. Atleast the customer service was good. That’s what my stars are for, room was definitely not worth it. I wonder how much full price would been for that ran down hotel room.

This hotel was just superb! Very clean, friendly staff, and cozy, along with an amazing breathtaking view from my balcony! I most definitely will be coming back!

We came here for valentines seem ok tried to check in and the man in the little office claimed they didn’t have our reservations lies he saw we where a gay couple and immediately turned homophobic so sad to see this but it’s south orange County what else can you expect he acted like we didn’t reserve anything what ever after looking at the place and seeing all the people he did check in before us I was glad we didn’t stay no WiFi for these prices get out of here

The journey began pleasant enough and as wonderful thoughts of New Year’s Eve on the beach I came upon this «unique» place.
The one good thing I can say about this hotel is that it has a good location, within walking distance of food, shops and the beach.
But I do not recommend staying here. The rooms are extremely loud. They have paper thin walls and you can hear the cars on the road all day & night. Plus loud construction going on during the day.
There is no wifi, and bad cell reception.
They say you get breakfast, but it is just store bought cheap pastries like bear claws.
We found sand in our bed when we turned down the sheets. Maid service only comes if you leave a sign on the door.
It is also really badly insulated, so the room is cold in the winter. They have one of those in-​window air conditioner units and it lets the outside air & noise in thru gaps around the unit.
Also they only have showers in the room, no bath tubs.
The size of the room is the same weather you have one double bed or two. The the rooms with 2 beds are really tiny. Also there aren’t king beds in this hotel, it is only the standard double.

I’m torn on the number of stars to give this place: 2 or 3 — if there were half points it’d be 2.5. If I go back, I think I’d try one of the suites and then I might be able to revise my score higher because they look nicer and more recently renovated.
Why so low:
— Website I booked it on said free breakfast, but it’s literally packaged muffins and breakfast bars
— They ran out of keycards when I checked in, so I only could have one
— Standard rooms are pretty small
— Took a long time to get hot water
— Shower floor was a bit dirty
— Blinds in bathroom kept getting stuck
— No instructions or remote to work heater; had to climb on bed and inspect ceiling unit to find an on switch; front desk told me the unit in the window (the AC) was the heater
— Once on, the heater blew dust/​black particles on the bed below it
— Evening/​late-​night front desk staff was very unhelpful (see bullet above)
Why it’s not lower:
— Free, door-​side parking
— Big bathroom
— Mini fridge in the room
— Beds were relatively comfortable, though pillows … not so much
— Right on PCH and a block from the beach
— Some rooms have ocean view
— The suites look really nice
— Decent price compared to others in the area

The place isn’t as nice as pictures make it look. The two members of staff we dealt with were rude and came off super douchy. Just a place to pass out if you need it. Definitely not worth ever staying at again.

My stay at Seaside Inn was pretty eventful in a way that would make most people consider deducting a star. However, the events were out of anyone’s control and the front desk guy, Tobias, handled everything like a boss.
We knew we were going to arrive too late for business hours, and we had called ahead to let them know we were driving from far away. Tobias stayed up and waited for us to get there to straighten out the situation. Totally friendly and accommodating. He hooked us up with a night free, and was very knowledgeable when we asked him about the area and where the best waves were. The room was cutesy and clean and we had the best ocean view! I would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I visited Orange County this past weekend and had a great time at this hotel. The moment we parked, we ran to the beach (literally just STEPS away) to catch sight of the sun just as it set. Although our room didn’t personally have a view, the steps toward the beach were convenient and accessible.
At first, finding a hotel took some time because Laguna Beach can be a really pricey area. We were impressed by the location and price of the hotel (we were looking for an affordable weekend trip) and ended up very satisfied with our stay. A couple of things to note:
–They rent out beach chairs, towels, games, etc. at the office (towels were free!)
–The staff is great and approachable/​great customer service over the phone and in person
–Easy and convenient parking: between the 4 of us traveling from all parts of California we had 3 cars, and none of us had trouble finding/​keeping a spot
–An Über/​Lyft to Newport Beach is about 14 dollars! This was great because we chose to lay out/​swim in Laguna Beach, then go stand up paddle boarding and out at night in Newport Beach
–There is a Trolley stop right next to the hotel you can take to check out the boutiques/​art galleries/​restaurants in Laguna Beach without having to drive
Overall, it was a positive experience and I definitely will be returning again (hopefully in the summer)!

I don’t usually give 5 stars because I always find reason not to. But this place is perfect. The hotel management are very helpful and will accommodate to your needs. Also the cost for these rooms are affordable! But the best thing about this place is the view.

Great little hotel! My boyfriend and I just stayed here for a spontaneous weekend at the beach and loved it! The room was clean and smelled great when we walked in. Front desk/​office is super friendly and helpful. Room is small but has everything you need and was super cute! Has a mini fridge and air conditioning unit in the room and vending machine for drinks outside. We couldn’t figure out if there was a heater or how to work it so bring extra blankets or ask for some if you tend to get cold at night. Low flow toilet and shower.
Free parking included! Only downfall is that the parking lot is very tiny and other hotel guests would unnecesarily park over the line and hog up 2 parking spaces (RUDE! and not really a reflection of the hotel but the people staying). If you get a parking space, don’t leave! You might not have one when you come back.
We will definitely be staying here next time we come down to Laguna and hopefully get a view room next time!

Sensational seaside!!! This location is a perfect 20 minute walk from downtown. We easily walked to restaurants & the movie theater so got to leave our car in Seaside’s private parking lot. Since parking can potentially be a small fortune in Laguna this was a true value!!! Taking the beach walk back was STUNNING during sunset.
The staff here are extremely kind & hospitable. Housekeeping also does such a wonderful job taking care of the rooms & patio areas. We had a quaint queen room with ocean view… A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G!!! It’s what fantasies are made of… Wish I could’ve stayed longer!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend with 2 other couples. We had tickets to the Pageant of the Masters and wanted a cute, reasonably priced hotel that was close to downtown LB and the festivals. It’s hard to find a nice hotel for under $ 200 in LB so we thought this was a great find! They let us check in early and also upgraded us to the junior suite that had a kitchen and a partial ocean view! Only cons to our room/​stay was that there’s no counter space in the bathroom and when we called for a later check out the next morning they wouldn’t let us. Check out is 11am and they wouldn’t budge. Pros — free parking and you can access the beach just on the other side of the Inn. Great location!
The other 2 couples with us were also able to check in early. One couple got a traditional King room and the other had the 1 bedroom suite above us. The 1 bedroom suite had a seperate living room, kitchen, and a full patio with a table and chairs and an awesome view of the ocean. We opened up a few bottles of wine, picked up some sandwiches from a deli and had an amazing lunch on the patio.
Tips: The stop for the free trolley is right across the street from the Inn and it was only a 10 – 15 minute ride to the festivals. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well if you don’t want to take the trolley to downtown LB. Also a coffee shop and a liquor store on the other side of the street.
We all had a fabulous time and will definitely stay here again next year for our annual trip to the Pageant of the Masters!
