Capri Laguna

This is a great ocean front hotel built into the side of cliffs that offer each room a unique experience and view. Beds, pillows and comforters are great… awesome nights sleep in one of the ocean front rooms as you can leave the windows open and listen to the crashing waves. Continental breakfast is very good (eggs, waffles, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, cereals and pastries). Location allows you to walk to shops, art galleries and restaurants (no need to drive anywhere). However, the ocean front rooms are very pricey so you will need to spend at least $ 400/​night. Carpets and exterior (sanding and painting) needs some updating.

Great boutique style hotel on the beach south about 1 mile south of the main beach. Lots of great bars and restaurants close by within walking distance. Very nice staff, clean rooms, nice location. Will be back again great for a day trip at the beach.

My first vacation to California and we stayed here. It was wonderful. We stayed in room 201 as an beachfront room I believe and it was well worth every penny. Amazing views, fantastic staff and wonderful company. We did have some trouble with the keys not working but it was quickly fixed. The hotel is definitely a little creaky in places but I think that adds to the charm. The private beach away from the public made for an even better first ocean trip experience! Will definitely be returning to this place on my next visit.

Please don’t let the photos you see online confuse your decision to book this place. They are far better than what you get in person. My wife and I came here for our anniversary. We paid extra for an ocean view. The room was pretty poor. The screen door actually fell off the tracks as we tried to go on the balcony. The balcony itself barely fit two grown adults. The room was outdated with slopes in the floor. There was carpet torn and lights that didn’t work. The main selling point is the beach. However, being from Southern California, you can find cheaper places with just a good of view with much more value for your dollar. If you are considering this place, I would recommend going on to the next listed hotel, because you are wasting your time here. You are better off with a motel.

Beautiful little place. Great service (Bachir attallah) will take great care of you. Right against the water. I recommend a beach view, it was half the experience. Decent parking. if you can’t handle stairs, it’s not ideal. Totally recommend this place though.

Nick Politis was so friendly and welcoming. I had to get a couple replacement keys and he was very nice about it also invited us to enjoy the Starbucks coffee and breakfast. Comfortable environment. Our room was great we loved the random look out decks they had and they had a great beach steps away.

Nice location on the beach, easy parking, WiFi, breakfast, very close to everything stores, restaurants etc. Wonderful management, Mr Nick at the front office very gracious and helpful as was Alexis.

We had a great weekend getaway to end Easter break. Capri Laguna is our favorite. Great ocean views, friendly staff, manager Luis was very helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

I stayed at Capri Laguna from 3÷24÷16−3÷28÷16 and I have to say this was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had, anywhere.
Check in was great and painless; I was given great directions to my room and had no trouble finding it. Our room was nice and clean, and everything from the bathroom towels to the bed sheets and pillowcases looked new (you can usually tell when towels, linens etc have been washed a million times). The pillows were very fluffy and comfortable, as well. The bathroom was very tidy and the shower was clean; the water temp was also perfect.
The deck/​patio was in great shape, and the view was absolutely amazing. It was so great to wake up and watch the sunrise while drinking a cup of coffee.
The continental breakfast was another perk — it included a waffle maker, pancake maker, cereal, pastries, and all the needed accessories (milk, syrup, etc.) and plenty of it. The Starbucks coffee machine was also a great bonus, since the actual Starbucks is about a mile walk away. Some of the hotels in Laguna offer no breakfast, so this is definitely a bonus that shouldn’t be overlooked.
The beach was set up nicely with chairs and umbrellas for guest use and was very welcoming.
All of the staff that I talked to for the duration of my stay took the time to ask extra questions about me and my girlfriend and our trip, and were genuinely interested in our trip.
My girlfriend and I are already planning on visiting Laguna again in the fall, and will be booking a room at Capri Laguna for that trip, as well!

This is our first time to visit Laguna beach and we reserved at this place because they had the most reasonable prices among those in the same area. We came here for our anniversary and it we had a wonderful time. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the friendly and professional staff. We got the ocean view room and it was clean and spacious. They had lovely decks where we just enjoyed the view while sipping coffee. We also loved that you just walk down the stairs to the beach where they had umbrellas and chairs for the guests. There were also shops, restaurants and cafes within walking distance. All in all, it was an awesome experience.

After vacationing to Laguna for over 15 years our staple of the Inn at Laguna is hard to top. But due to its popularity, it gets booked often and prices tend to creep up each year. Capri has amazing rooms with full ocean views 201,202, 203,204 and 402 have spectacular views of the ocean on a beach slightly different and beautiful than main. You are right next door to surf and sand and both places have chair and umbrella service to the sand. An great variety for continental breakfast is served daily! Plenty of parking on and off property and easy walking to shops make this a gem to visit. Room had some wear and tear some rust and paint areas, small chips off the bathroom tile in bathroom but that makes this rating from a five to a 3. The staff is beyond accommodating and delightful.
I would easy come back and request one of the rooms mentioned above.

What a beautiful place. I loved the ambiance and service was 5star! Breakfast every morning and coffee when u want it. We will definitely come back. It was also very kid friendly. Far and Gary Lapin and family.

My family stayed here for two nights. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and stress free. Great job guys!!! We loved walking around the grounds exploring amazing views and relaxing lounges. Pet friendly is a huge plus!!! Great breakfast, awesome rooftop lounge with incredible Laguna Beach sunsets, and the sound of waves while laying in bed made this trip one for the books!

Such a quaint hotel with an amazing roof lounge. We will definitely return here for a future visit!

I Go To Laguna Beach Fairly Often & I Always Love It, This Was My First Time Staying The Night In Laguna And It Was Absolutely Amazing Waking Up To The Ocean In The Middle Of The Night Smelling The Ocean Air Etc Capri Laguna Was Great There Staff Was Very Friendly, Parking Was Simple, And The Breakfast Was Great!

Capri Laguna on the Beach is a special place to stay. I enjoyed the Boutique hotel with an amazing view of the ocean during the day and listening to sound of the waves at night. First off this hotel has the most amazing beach view, the upstairs deck was probably my favorite thing about staying here. It’s a great area to enjoy your coffee in the morning, lunch in the afternoon and a cocktail in the evening. The view/​deck is definitely 10 stars!
The rooms are basic, I came with several girls which some had standard rooms and the others had a beach view. Of course the rooms with a view are a better option and much nicer but overall the rooms are still basic but there’s a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, shower, TV, etc.
They do have a pool, it’s cute, small and in the middle of the hotel but with the beach being so close we found that was the better spot to hang. In the morning they offer a continental breakfast which is very simple with a few pastries but they have fabulous coffee!
The hotel is within walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, coffee spots, bars and Laguna itself is just a nice relaxing place to be for a few days. The only negative for us would be the parking. They offer 1 spot per room and their lot is actually off site only by a few blocks but they only have about 10 spots on the property. Typically that would be okay but because I had come with a lot of girls, we had some rooms that had 2 cars and they had a difficult time trying to find parking as the meters up there are not forgiven on Sunday’s like most areas.
Overall, basic rooms but a beautiful view, friendly and welcoming staff, nice area, close to spas and everything you need to relax and recharge.

From the moment we checked in to the way to the room, this staff is super friendly. On the beach their is someone helping you out with chairs, umbrellas and what ever you may need. Rooms are nothing spectacular but this is a beach front hotel. Great location and the time I was there the beach Was never packed and just amazing. This is a great place to stay if you plan on just waking up to the sound of the ocean and taking a nice early morning walk on the beach.
Great restaurants walking distance so you will not be needing your car. Parking area is small but worked out just fine. Wifi and parking is included together as a package and works great. Will definitely be visiting again.

My boyfriend and I booked a beachfront room for our mini vacation. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was large with a king sized bed, simple and nicely decorated with a gorgeous view of the ocean (view from the balcony in room 103). The beach is literally a few steps away from our room and they provide chairs, umbrellas and beach towels. Breakfast includes bagels, muffins, eggs, pancakes, etc. The liquor store next door is very convenient as they carry all your beach needs if you left any at home! I picked up some sunblock and a cute sun hat before coming down to tan.
Parking is a bit tight, but we came on a weekday so we were able to find one without any problems. Definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in town!
