History

Established in 2009.

Learn To Skim was founded in spring of 2009. Which such a fast increasing popularity of the sport every year, I saw more and more people at the beach trying the sport out, but not really sure on how to do it. I’ve had many people ask me how to skimboard and I’ve always enjoyed helping them get started and give them pointers. Why not give those who want to learn skimboarding a chance, at a very reasonable price. Afterall, Laguna Beach is the «Skimboarding Capital of the World!» Due to popular demand, as of 2012, we are now doing lessons in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach.

Business Owner

Andrew is the head instructor here at LearnToSkim. He has more stoke for the sport than anyone, and is really passionate about teaching the sport to others. He believes the most important ingredient to learning how to skimboard is having fun! So if you see him on the beach, stop and say hi. He will be more than glad to give some pointers. Andrew placed in the top 4 overall in his division in the 2010 and 2011 World Championship of Skimboarding at Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach, California.
