Tritter Feefer Home Collection

Too bad there wasn’t a piece of a star to rate this company. One star is too generous.
I have ordered from Tritter Feefer in the past, but the last time has left me feeling like I’ve been completely bamboozled. A customer liked the Spiro bed, but wanted a flat matte paint finish because she did not like the finishes TF offered. TF would have painted the bed but it was a 20% up charge. Which should have been my first warning.
The bed arrived primed. But instead of being manufactured out of solid wood (like any fine furniture maker would use) it was made out of particle board. Pressed wood. Cheap rough horrible crap. My painter wouldn’t touch it, because I’m sure it would have turned to dust if he tried sanding it. Hence the fancy paint finishes they use, because they are trying to hide the fact that they use stuff IKEA wouldn’t even dream of using!
I spoke with Bill Aultman the owner, who tried to convince me that particle board was the strongest type of wood and really the best bet for that large expanse of wood, that a solid piece of wood would warp and buckle (a queen size headboard. You must be joking).
He agreed to take it back. And pick it up. And now it’s been a month and no one will return my many phone calls or emails. I love looking at that bed. Now it reminds me of how I got fired by the client and I’m stuck with a bill for $ 2638.90. Plus shipping.
Just called MasterCard who will reverse the charge. Hooray MasterCard, Shame on tritter Feefer. I will also never buy from this company again, unless I have this strong desire to grind my teeth, lose sleep, feel like an idiot and piss off more customers.

Tritter Feefer has a poor product and terrible customer service. I ordered a table recently and the finish immediately began chipping off. After many months of calling/​emailing with reassurances that they would do something about it and that they «stand by their product» I finally received a «repair kit». Well the repair kit worked less than perfectly and the table continues to chip on a regular basis… apparently they expect you to have to continually repair your new purchase. I would NEVER buy anything from this company again and strongly suggest others don’t as well.
