Brickhouse left a little something to be desired. We stopped there on a Sunday night to watch the second half of the U.S. Soccer game. I let the hostess and our server know this right away. Since there were no other big sporting events(Super bowl is next week) we didn’t think it would be a problem. They did it, but not with any urgency. Plus, there is nothing on the menu that just stands out. I would recommend that they add to their menu, something that is unique. Lastly, a children’s menu is supposed to help parent out so they can order from the bar menu or order an extra appetizer, etc. At 5.95 each, you are not looking out for the generation of diners that are going to bring their kids. Although are server did a decent job, and the bartender let my husband try a beer before he ordered it, I can’t think of much else that is going to bring us back to Brickhouse ever again.

This is a bar but it has great food and live entertainment on some evenings. Is definitely a step above bar food. The nachos is huge. My daughter likes the fish and chips. It’s right across from the movie theater so it’s good to go to right after a movie

This place never fails to disappoint. There are 10:34 left in the 4th quarter of the NATIONALCHAMPIONSHIP football game and they call«last call» for the bar. Not to mention when we walked in at 9:30 no one greeted at the front door for seating or after we sat ourselves. The only reason we come here is because it is one of two options.

This is a great spot to take your g/f’s, b/f’s, wife/husband and even your kiddos! The food is alright — it’s bar food. My fav. thing to eat is their calamari w/the spicy chili sauce. Service is always decent and if they are ever slow it’s due to being busy.

I grab a beer here before I see a movie with my friends. They have a great food and beer selection.

Took awhile to get our food and they forgot my husbands burger. When he said forget it he would just share my sandwich the waitress said we would be charged for it anyway.

Food was great. In town on business and enjoyed a great meal with the guys. The service was poor or I would have given this place a five.

Pretty average. Typical«Bar» food and drinks ok. Will only go if I’m close and nothing else really open

An OK place. We’ve been there several times. We like the atmosphere and the food is pretty good but the service is horrible. We ordered to go one day and it was a disaster. After waiting at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes, we were told to pick up at the bar. Then we stood at the bar for another 5 minutes. Finally, one of the hostesses got our food and ran my credit card at the hostess stand. The last time we went the food service was much better so we’re still hopeful we can enjoy both food and service together.

Been here a few times for lunches and dinner. Good sandwiches and steaks. Fried Green Tomatoes are good for an appetizer as well.

This place looks really cool — great location, lots of parking close by and from the outside it just looks like«THE» place to go. Open door and the smell hits you — almost like all the beer that has spilled onto the floor sorta was absorbed into the building. It isn’t that the building was unclean — it looks like they try very hard to keep it looking great, but for some reason it doesn’t smell good. The staff were all friendly enough, but they simply didn’t know what service means. Between having to ask for everything — even plates of the appetizers, constantly having to ask for more water/drinks and then asking to order — you clearly understood these folks just have not had much training on service! With all this time sitting waiting and drinking — a trip to the bathroom was in order — and it was a walk — you actually like leave the place, go up a few steps, into another area — it appears shared with other establishments, which wasn’t bad because the smell was gone. The bathrooms were very clean. Now for the food, which was not that good at all. In fact — the description didn’t match what I received. I ordered the Steak Sandwich with onion, peppers, mushrooms and cheese and I received it with little cheese, little steak, little mushroom and no peppers and onions. Ordered it medium rare and it was actually well done! The slaw was so bad I almost had to spit it out, but managed to swallow — YUCK! The appetizers weren’t as bad as the meals — the calamari was decent — not too tough at all. The cheese fritters were cooked pretty good, but lacked all flavor. The nachos were odd to say the least, but edible. Hey I didn’t say they were good — just not as bad. I personally wouldn’t go back to this place and understand why some of my colleagues didn’t want to go and some opted out of this one all together. I’m not sure why this place is still in business, must be location and the garage doors that open the dining room up to the outside — a good thing when you think back to the original smell when you first entered.

Good food, good service, lots of tv’s. The service was way better than when I visited here a few months ago. I gave it a –1 star because there was no background music playing and the room is echoing from everyone talking. Otherwise I will be coming back again.

Although I first really liked Brickhouse when it opened I am forced to change my previous review. After eating there several times I have noticed a sharp decline in the quality of food. In particular, I was recently disgusted to find that their blue cheese is really just mayo with some blue cheese in it. Blue cheese aside… many of their dishes that I had liked at first have just seemed more sloppy. The service is still alright and it is still nice to have a variety of entertainment options throughout the week but someone needs to sit the owners down and tell them a thing or two about how to manage a sound system. Live music is very unenjoyable at Brickhouse. It’s too loud and the volume really hinders the quality of the music. Which is a shame because I like some of the bands they have come play. Now that the weather is cold they have the garage doors closed so you can’t enjoy music from the outside(the only place where it was bearable).

Good food, but much of the waitstaff is young(college age), and they don’t provide the best service – sometimes completely messing up orders(like bringing a burger instead of a salad). If it weren’t for this, they’d get a better review.

A friend and I were in LaGrange and came here at the recommendation of locals who were joining us for dinner. It was a Friday evening and very busy with families. They give you the vibrating disk to alert you when your table is ready. Made me feel like I was at Chili’s. While we were waiting for our table, we sat at the bar and had drinks and ordered the cast iron skillet Irish nachos. They really could have just named this dish potatoes au gratin. If you like lots of cheese, you will like this appetizer. For me, it was nothing notable. Once seated, the final guest in our party arrived and asked the server what kind of beer they had on tap. He said he didn’t know as he was not a beer drinker! lol Anyway, I ordered the fish and chips and it was good. Batter was crunchy and not too heavy. The steak type fries were cooked just right and the food was served hot. Overall, the service was good, food was average and the staff was friendly and it appears that the locals are embracing this establishment.

I don’t drink, but I ate the nachos and Philly cheesesteak. They were good, but nothing special. Atmosphere is cool. Service was lacking. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Not a big deal, but those things are important at a restaurant, and the waiting staff ought to know that. Live music was a nice touch. Seemed to be a cool place. I will go back.
