Established in 2007.

Computer Reboot was founded in 2007 by Lafayette, Indiana entrepreneur Dave Crouse to fill a need for low-​cost, high quality computer repair services in Lafayette, Indiana and surrounding communities.

Computer Reboot started with a small section in the front of 1624 Main St with a handful of refurbished computers, monitors, and parts and soon grew to occupy the entire basement and first floor.

By 2009 Computer Reboot was completing over 60 repairs a month at an average price of under $ 70.00 per machine and employed more than 4 local people.

in 2011 Computer Reboot gutted and remodelled a third of the 1624 Main St building and increased the size of the repair facilities 3 fold.

As of January 2012, Computer Reboot was completing over 130 repairs per month and employed as many as 6 local people.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Dave Crouse wrote his first computer program sin 1979 while in high school in Princeton, Il. He sold his first computer program to the local chamber of commerce before age 16. Mr. Crouse attended Illinois Valley Community College, Purdue University, Concodia College and Illinois State University. Mr. Crouse has a BA and an MA from ISU. While completing his Master’s degree at Illinois State University, Mr. Crouse taught Philosophy and Symbolic Logic at Heartland Community College and Lincoln College in Bloomington, IL.

After college, Mr. Crouse has been the lead Technician for an entrepreneurial computer systems company, IT manager for a manufacturing company, the lead technician for data warehousing at a mortgage company, and a super computer administrator at another mortgage company. Eventually, Mr. Crouse started several entrepreneurial companies in Lafayette, Indiana, including Computer Reboot.
