Delicious Thai curry. Nice atmosphere. Lots of parking space. Very good prices. Very good service. We highly recommend this place.

LemonGrass in Hawks Prairie is probably the most beautiful restaurant interior in Lacey, Olympia AND Tumwater. There is also a wonderful private dining room. The deuce tables are small, but near a window that has a convenient sil to put your purse on. I am not sure that the food is as good as the downtown location — but it’s good. It’s also pricey. And they have some wierd service practice — -you don’t have an assigned wait-person — -so It can be confusing; sometimes you don’t get the attention that you need when you need it. I love the sauce on Jungle Prince, and order it always. It’s better sometimes than others. Generally it’s very good. I recently had a fried rice dish that was very very good and a beef steak dish that was EXCELLENT. It’s really busy on weekends, so I tend to avoid Friday nights and all day Saturday. This is a meet the girls for lunch or a special occasion restaurant. They have some round tables – hard to find these days.

It’s cool, went there with my coworkers for lunch. I ordered the chicken wings. Before I placed my order I asked the waiter how many wings come with the order. He said 8 – 10. I was like great and ordered two. When my food arrived I received two plates of 6 chicken wings. That’s is 4 to 8 chicken wings less than what I was told I would get. I’m still hungry. Btw the wings were alright, kinda wet but good flavor and meaty.

Sunday Night dinner date, fantastic first time experience! Will be returning! Not too loud, food tasted phenomenal, mixed drinks were on point. Atmosphere is great for intimate conversation.

Awesome food. Service is ok but not bad. I have been here five times and never a bad meal. Reasonable prices as well.

I first came to this restaurant when it was fairly new, I was less than impressed. But something has changed, and now they are definitely getting it right. The food is delicious, atmosphere is classy, up beat, and fresh. Dow, the guy that usually runs the bar is an expert mixologist. He comes up with some great drinks if you give him the freedom to be creative… just say«surprise me», you won’t be disappointed. Their Pad Thai is great, the honey walnut prawn are top notch, Larb is also excelent, but the Almond Chicken… I will pay anyone who can discover the secret of the amazing sauce that goes on the Almond Chicken! I always ask for extra just so I have some to take home. The cook, Chow, is a charactor. Staff there is great, and their private room, for meetings and special parties, is one of the nicest in the entire area. This restaurant has become a chart topper on our«out to dinner» list. Must try.

We called in reservations for 20 people to celebrate a coworkers Birthday. The service was extremely slow and they seemed overwhelmed with our lunch group even though we had reservations in place for more than a week in advance. Many orders arrived cold, my curry was luke-warm, not what I ordered and not spicy at all. When I asked for it to be replaced, I was brought some type of spice to add to the cold meal that I didn’t even order. We were also then informed for such a large party we should have called our meal selections in advance? Myself and many of my co-workers will not be back.

Ordered in two soups by phone and they took an hour to make them after telling me 15 minutes. ANHOUR. The food here is decent but man wtf. It took me 10 minutes to explain to them that I wanted tom kha and tom yum(which I guess is not on their menu, just have to order tom yum + coconut milk) with NOMEAT. that was hard for them to get. On a high note, the soups were packed with veggies which can be rare, and not just green pepper and baby corn shiz, actual green beans and good carrots and cabbage and mushrooms. I forgot to say vegan and there is def a lot of fish sauce and/or shrimp paste so my fiancée wouldn’t eat it. Just read the review about MSG and wouldn’t doubt that there is MSG in there too. Meh, I gave 3 stars because in desperation i may eat there again. but I will probably die before there is good Thai in Oly.

steer clear … Bad service, worse food Dear Dao Pham, This was absolutely unequivocally the worst customer service. You served us drinks 40 minutes after we ordered at our reserved table, and then you kick us off of our table to take a new guest. The food — not good, the wontons were over fried and had peanut butter gravy served ice cold to dip. The dishes were bland. The«pork in clay pot» … that was too cute that you served it in white ceramic. Essentially, this was fast food Vietnamese minus all of the good flavors, broths, and vegetables and love … then each plate is up-charged so that you get the ambience of a Hyatt hotel. I think you need to reevaluate the 2nd mortgage you are paying for your designer and invest in the menu. This was by far the absolute worst dining experience — EVER. This was poor treatment to a family of veterans, traveling to the Fort Lewis area to visit family and mark the one year anniversary of our father’s, a veteran, passing of cancer. Dao, you are a horrible person and a basic businessman to military families. Our family gathered here under a reservation as a thanksgiving Farewell as we headed home across the US. We paid our $ 121.00 tab and tip. Within minutes waiters were clearing our table and plating before us. A waiter came up to us and said that we needed to leave because the table was reserved for new guests. The waiter put his hands on the back of the faux leather chairs and began to pull the chairs back. I asked what I was supposed my to do with my beer. His response«you can sit at the bar» … I went over to the bar, full beer in hand, to ask for a manager … A man dressed in a wrinkled shirt from the hamper, claimed to be the manager. *sigh* The displeasure of meeting Dao. I complained to Dao, the owner, and the response was«ahh, wow, sorry» … I told Dao that it was a sensitive time for our family, and we were truly disturbed for being asked to leave. Dao, you weren’t sorry, but your business practice is. You flipped our table the moment you collected the tip. You are money hungry and unethical. Your response to our complaint is deplorable. If you like fancy lighting and hotel décor, eat here … If you enjoy authentic dining and a well trained wait staff … Keep it moving on your Unilocal search

We have eaten delicious meals here every time we come. The food is fresh, the sauces are made in-house, and the Ambiance is spectacular. I have read other reviews, and am not sure where they came up with their ideas. Try and come again and again. My family is up on what a Great Asian food restaurant is– and this is one of the best ones in Olympia, and is on par with the upscale Asian restaurants in Seattle.

I give 2 stars because I do like the food, but service was awful. I hardly saw our waitress. When we asked for recommendations she rolled her eyes and didn’t tell us any. She never came back to check on us or fill our drinks we probably waited an hour for our check. We finally flagged a bus boy down. We had a lot of takeout boxes and wasn’t even offered a bag, we had to ask. I am sure not all the servers are that bad, but it was an awful experience!

Had dinner this evening here. Great service but food was mediocre. Ordered the honey walnut prawns for myself. It had A LOT of breaking on it and was pretty greasy, compared to what I’m used to. Drinks were decent. I had their Thai Orchid and Kiss of the Dragon. The kiss of the dragon was more to my liking. Not too sweet but just enough sweetness to enjoy with my meal. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone. It’s very modern and swanky for a Thai place, just not the best of food for the price you pay. Could be a great date night.

I just left the Lemon Grass and I am already hungry for more! The food is delicious! I love the ambiance of the restaurant, the chic décor makes me feel like I am in a big city rather than in Lacey. The menu has a wide variety of flavor suitable for different tastes, including very well prepared tofu, which is harder said than done! The food and the flavors are always fresh and mouth watering. They have a great event space for special occasions and an exotic seating area outside for the rare sunny PNW day. I always enjoy my trips to The Lemon Grass and I think you will as well!

The service here was probably the best part of the meal. I had the drunken noodles with beef and shrimp. The shrimp was cooked pretty well, but had no flavor at all. The entire meal tasted very bland, no flare and a little too saucy. Just a tip on the spice level here, if you want it spicy go 4 star spice

They always have consistently prepared, good food at reasonable prices. How they run the front end, however, makes me shake my head. It’s been understaffed quite a bit, particularly at lunch. Recently a new waitress blew badly… food arrived before drinks, and we eventually had to go find someone to bring us sugar for coffee. Speaking of… hello, Lemongrass, coffee rarely causes huge losses. Do yourselves a favor and make a pot WHEN you open for lunch, not after a customer orders it. Seriously. EVERYTIME I’ve waited 20 mins for coffee if I get in early to beat the lunch rush. I return for the food and ambiance. I wish they could somehow implement the standards clearly in place for kitchen staff for the front of house. At least this location is better in this way than the downtown Oly location… don’t even get me started…

Good first. I had the pork in clay pot. It was quite tasty. But it was pedestrian. Sort of a teriyaki-Mongolian beef deal. Service was terrible. Granted there were 11 of us there. But this as right at lunch, so a restaurant needs to anticipate it’ll be busy. Place wasn’t packed by any means. And we made reservations ahead of time. 5 of us got our meals after 30 – 45 minutes. 3 more trickled out over the next 45 minutes. And the last meal … never came. We walked out after more than 90 minutes. Ridiculous.

After craving Thai food for months, I was excited to have some legit pad thai. We came in on a Friday night and restaurant was still fairly empty. Service was quick, people were eager to refill water and take orders. I ordered my go to at every Thai restaurant — Pad Thai with tofu and Pad See Ew. I already knew something was wrong when the Pad Thai came. The sauce looked very orange and watery. It was overflowing to the sides of the plate. I took one taste of the noodles and it tasted literally like ketchup + fish sauce. It was probably one of the worst Pad Thai dishes I have ever had before. The Pad See Ew was a little better but not by much. The sauce was good but it wasn’t the taste of Pad See Ew, it tasted like the sauce you find in Broccoli Beef in chinese restaurants. The sauce was pretty much overpowered by soy sauce. Worst of all, the noodles were coarse and still a little undercooked so it tasted crunchy. Overall very disappointed by the quality of the food. Service was decent but I wouldn’t say this place is legit Thai food by any means.

Epic fail. Wedding party made reservations 3 months ago for rehearsal dinner. We show up. Boom. No reservations. Wow. And as I’m standing here, another person with reservations showed up and her reservation was crossed off. Really?

Great for a date night or ladies night! I came here with a group of ladies, there were 9 of us. We had prompt service and all really enjoyed our food. The ambiance is amazing! Very nicely decorated, modern, sexy and stylish! The prices were a little high on some items but overall decent for the atmosphere. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, it was excellent, and a pretty decent portion. I highly recommend this place.

Not a bad Thai restaurant but I’m not sure it was necessarily the most authentic or «home down» variety out there. I had the Crispy Noodles with Chicken and it had a great flavor to it. The crispy noodles had a different texture to them which I didn’t like as well as other versions of this dish I have had in the past. This was for kind of a social and a birthday party combined and I tried two other curry dishes that some other people got and they were very tasty as well. Some of got tea and that was decent. One pot had a chip in it and was flaking chips onto the table. We got a replacement and the waitress seemed a bit annoyed with needing to do a replacement but didn’t say anything and did it. Other than that not a bad meal at all.
