At Work Out World, we are committed to fighting obesity, improving lives by helping you lead a healthier lifestyle. We are an affordable, luxury health club with a no-​pressure, friendly environment. We are real people, pursuing health together.

Our amazing facilities include cardio machines, free weights, group fitness classes including Zumba, kickboxing and total body conditioning, personal training and steam room. With 30 to 40 group classes a week, we’re sure you’ll find the perfect one for you.

We also offer great kids care, full-​service showers and bathroom amenities and a complete towel service with membership. Welcome to your club!

Established in 1985.

This is our first California location. We are proud to serve Southern California with our family health clubs. We all share the universal desire for the good life. By joining together we can help each other get where we want to be.

This GYM is nothing but a scam, I used to be a member and they send me to collections for outstanding debt. However, I never got the bill and this was all when my membership was to be cancelled. AVOID.

Of I could give zero stars, I would. This gym is a rip off. I never signed up with them, yet somehow they keep calling me saying I owe them money. I’ve never once received a bill, they only tell me over the phone that I owe anything. I told them I need proof that I owe something and they have yet to provide it. Now they have sent what they say I owe to collections. Their company is a complete scam and I have reported them to the BBB. They have yet to reply back to the BBB on my complaint– shows how awful of a business this is. When I call them, the billing lady talks over you and hangs up if you demand answers. Do not go to this gym or give them your name and number. They’ll take that as an active membership and start charging you for something you didn’t sign up for.

If I can give this place a half or even negative 5 stars. I would. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. $ 100 cancellation fee, when I asked from the get go if I would be charged a cancellation fee and guess what they do. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. They are so under handed, untrustworthy TERRIBLE BUSINESS. I even called this past Saturday wanting to cancel they give you the run around to come to the facility to fill out a form just so YOU CAN MAIL IT YOURSELF pretty much want to make it real hard to cancel with them. Should’ve stuck to 24 hours fitness. You get what you pay for and now I’m out of $ 125. Thanks WOW you guys are ridiculous. Two words to describe this place PATHETIC AND DESPERATE just to keep their doors open.

This gym is a joke! They claim it’s easy and no charge to cancel but guess what they still charged. I even went in signed the paper to cancel and sent it in certified mail. OMG, this Fitness Club its a joke. The only thing they are interested is, in signing you up.
Once you sign up, they don’t give a, you know what.
I was promised a personal assessment, we agreed on the date and time that it was supposed to
take place, well, the fitness trainer never showed up (Danny) not even a phone call to reschedule,
Needless to say, I requested to have the manager to contact me (Debbie) Never called me
to follow up on my complaint. I requested for her to give me a call. NO CALL.
Then, I made a phone call to see if I could speak to the manager, no answer, my phone call will direct me straight to voice mail. left message, and guess what! YES, my phone call was ignored.
They also offer you FREE towel service, well guess what. They never have towels available.
The only reason I come to this gym, is because its convenient for me. I can walk from home.
I wish PLANET FITNESS was closer to me.

They have the worst costumer service. They never return calls and unhelpful with questions regarding diet and workout plans. I went back to 24 hour fitness after a 30 day trial with WOW. Read the fine print before you sign up with WOW b/​c the free trial is not truly free.

This place is a big scam. They have hidden charges that you must read the contract to find out because the worker will leave it out and lie. They avoid talking to customers when there is a issue and won’t call back and make it nearly impossible to cancel a membership. Please don’t go here!!!

0 STARS IF I COULD!
I was coming out of the grocery store when a work out world member approached me, I wasn’t very interested in that gym but the guy sweet talked me into it, he specifically said «YOU HAVE TWO WEEKS TO THINK ABOUT IT» I knew that gyms only give you 5 days to sign out if you’d like but I took his word for it and in less than two weeks I went back and tried to cancel. I spoke to a lady in the front desk and she didn’t help much she told me to come again tomorrow to speak to the manager and so I did. I explained to the manager the reason I waned to leave, she said the 5 days have already passed and I was obligated to pay for the gym that I had never used! I told her one of her guys has specifically told me I had 2 weeks and she said «well you shoulda read your contract» I tried talking to her in a nice and calm manner she look very upset about the whole thing, and keep rolling her eyes and speaking loudly over me so I would stop talking. I would NEVER recommend this crappy place to anyone don’t waste your time or money!

This scam gym is nothing but workers who get people name and age just to rip off people and scam them by charging the people even tho you never sign up with any one i just got scammed and told me i have to pay even tho i never went i there nor ever signed up for this they told me they would come to an agreement to fix this issue that i have to pay really for what why do i have to pay am going to sue there asses

Not bad. Needed a place to lift for the weekend and gave it a try. They have the bare essentials: a squat rack, bench, and a place to deadlift plus a few nice extras like a crossfit style cage for more squats. The restrooms are nice and clean, the cardio machines work, and it was pretty empty when I got here. Can’t really ask for more. Would rate 5 stars but they don’t have standardized barbells and benches which makes it kinda awkward for lift until you adjust.

I will never do business with this company again and I will never recommend this gym to ANYONE! I signed my husband up for a gym membership and 6 months of personal training. I immediately noticed they had billing issues. You are required to set up auto payments to an account or credit card, and the payments were never pulled on the right dates plus additional enrollment fees (that were not discussed during the initial set-​up) were added.
4 months into membership I called the La Mirada gym to inquire how to cancel the personal training but retain the gym membership. I was told by 3 different employees to pick up a cancellation form, send it certified mail by a specific date and it would be canceled. To my surprise, I was given the wrong date which resulted in renewal of the personal training and I was billed an entirely different amount than the fee before.
I called several times and was given the run around and different information. Neither the billing rep nor the collection rep would credit my account but canceled the renewal. After resorting to an argument over the phone, I was credited back 1⁄3 of the fee and will now probably need to fight to cancel my gym membership.
I’d rather pay triple to a legitimate company than deal with this gym ever again. (If I could give 0 stars I would, but Unilocal requires at least one.)

Its a Gym and with that comes the politics and issues of contracts, rates and other things that irritates members at all the other big name gyms.
With that, I personally like the gym because of its low key workout environment and the ability to workout on any machine without waiting. I like that the machines are all in pretty good shape, clean and in great shape. If you wanna come early they are open and even late into the night which is a perk.
Read your contract and know what you are signing. We are talking about full grown adults complaining about things that to tell you the truth are things that you signed to on that dotted line. Now i have had only one issue were they began to charge me a few dollars more for some rate change but i just called the office and had it changed and they credit my account.
If it wasn’t for the billing mishap they would have gotten 5 stars from this lazy guy that doesn’t go to the gym enough.

Worst Gym Ever. Avoid signing any contract with them otherwise they will keep you charging all the hidden fees and all the extra charges they will charge you. 0 starts!!! 7÷17÷15 mailed my Cancelation Request, received email from Eunice 7÷21÷15 cancelation in final inactivation process… It’s 8÷2÷15 being charged $ 24.99…WOW work out world seriously!!! Awful customer service and business theft at it’s finest. Canceling because was lied to about Karate classes for my kids (not free) and Muay Thai for the hubby (until the FALL)… I wanted to speak with the manager to cancel my account 5 days before my card would be charged $ 63.99. Of course she’s in a meeting… sure. I kept called the next day she’s unavailable. This is the year 2015 right… why can’t I cancel my membership over the phone, online, fax. or in person and just hand it in… since I have to mail it there any way.

Got a trainer, she kicked my butt!!! And as far as the negative reviews and those simply buying into them, well all I can say is thank you for not crowding my gym? I haven’t had any billing issues so nothing too complain about.
I quit 24hr fitness 1. Because it was gross & 2. Machines and weights were too damn crowded. I would get frustrated to go work out there. I’m good here @ WOW, I can bring a guest anytime for less than $ 30 bucks a month. Training sessions are a great deal especially when they agreed to do couples sessions fire the price of one. Can’t beat that!
