Summit Dental of La Mesa

My husband had 8 crowns for his front teeth for cosmetic purposes and they are brilliant! His work was so awesome I had 2 crowns done myself. Dr. Evans’ temporary crowns not only look like the finished product, but he is expert at making sure the bite is perfect and your teeth feel as natural as your real ones. After a previous experience with a nightmare crown I was thrilled to find him.
My only slight complaint (and it is minor) is you are charged at the time for your co-​pay rather than waiting to see what the insurance company will pay — and sometimes my calculations did not jibe with the office calculations. But so long as you stay on top of your billing and know what you’ve spent and what the balance should be, you’ll be good to go.
And the office staff is the friendliest group of people you could want!

I regularly have to attend Summit Dental as I suffer from chronic TMJ. I can say without fail Summit Dental of La Mesa has treated me with the highest level of attention as care than any other specialists in the field. Dr. Evans is extremely knowledgable in the area of TMJ, and his staff are both professional and friendly. Certainly recommended!

My husband became a patient at Summit Dental in 2014 and I became a patient shortly after because he always raved about the doctor and the staff and how wonderful they are. I’ve been a few times and it’s always a good experience. My daughters are now patients there, 7 and 1 ½, and they are wonderful with children. My 7 year old can’t wait to return, she loved the kid friendly office and staff. My husband had an appointment yesterday and came home really happy with his experience and the work on his teeth and asked me to write a review so others know how gray this dental office, the staff, and the doctor see. If your looking for a professional dentist, a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a clean kid friendly office, this is the place.

Very friendly and helpful, also fast professional. I enjoy going there every time. They are more like a family then an office. There is an area for the kid’s and they have the place setup so you can be comfortable while you wait and while you are getting work done.
They also do there best to work with you too. .. WOW!

I was a patient of Summit Dental when Dr. Wilner owned and operated it, way back when he was in Rancho San Diego and throughout his La Mesa move probably 15 or more years and I was sad to see him go. His staff was always top notch and not a revolving door. Most have retired along with the good doctor. I decided to take my business elsewhere after he retired when I kept getting hounded by text messages and phone calls that I was due for an office visit. I used to just fill out a card and they’d mail it to me. I’d keep it until I scheduled. No phone calls, texts, up sell attempts and gimmicks. I’m sure this new team is great for someone, I just want my dentistry to spend more time attending to my mouth and not hounding me. I only rated 3 stars because Doc Wilner and his staff are playing golf and it doesn’t affect them at all.

I think of dentists as I think of Clowns. SCARY. I’ve never had a good experience at a dentists office until now.
I went to my appointment thinking I would get horrible news, because other dentists, I’ve been to have been condescending jerks.
But low and behold, everyone I encountered in the office was amazing. And the outcome of anything that I need to get done wasn’t as horrifying as I thought it would be.
I already told my husband and a few co-​workers to make appointments! I’ve never EVER raved about a dental office until now.

Talk about a great dental experience. Everyone on the staff was amazing and very helpful and treated you like family from the moment you walked in the door.
Very modern office with tvs in the ceiling so you can watch while you are getting cleaned.
No upselling at all and they are very upfront about what you need done and what costs you will incur.
Best dental experience of my life and will only go here.

Dr. Jagger is fantastic. I went to her today to get my first cavity fixed with much nervous anticipation of the procedure. Despite getting myself all riled up beforehand, the procedure was quick, easy, and literally painless. She has also done work on my partners teeth, and everything she’s done has been great. Coming from a family of doctors and dentists, I sincerely appreciate the obvious knowledge and passion she has for her field, and proficiency in technique.

I went to this office in JANUARY 2011 and saw Dr. Lipat for the first time. The office staff are very good and helpful. Dr. Lipat was great, and very meticulous. She (Dr. Lipat) was considerate of my needs and took the time to give great care. I highly recommend Dr. Lipat and her staff. I live in San Marcos. John

Even though the dentist is the last place I usually want to go – I love my dentist! The office staff is extremely friendly, the technicians are gentle and caring! I would highly recommend Dr Wilner and staff!

This place is WONDERFUL! I have had nothing but positive experiences with Summit Dental. I first came here when I made the commitment of taking care of my mouth and bringing my teeth back to health. This requires a lot of work and I had just came from a dentist that royally screwed some procedures up. I needed to know what sort of dental work I was looking at. Summit was able to get me in quickly and went over my options with me. At this time I did not have insurance and they were willing to work with me financially. Since then I have gotten to know Dr. Lipat and the staff well and they are extremely friendly and, more importantly, knowledgeable. I know the team meets daily and it show as they all work strongly together.
The waiting room is comfortable, but I am never there longer than 5 minutes. Very prompt service! And another perk is that they have TV’s on the ceiling so you can keep yourself distracted. Dr. Lipat is very good and has made all of my procedures as comfortable as possible.
If you care about your teeth, this is the place to go! I drive over 30 miles to get here. And more so, I now get HMO insurance through my company, but unfortunately Summit does not accept HMO (PPO only.) I feel so strongly about Summit that I am willing to pass up the insurance to stay with Summit. It may be higher costs now, but in the long run I know my teeth are getting the attention it needs.
Give them a try… You won’t be disappointed!

I have been patient of Dr. Willner for over 6 yrs now and I am so pleased with all the work he has done. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Im not a huge fan of getting crowns and filling but I only trust Summit Dental when I have to have the work done. Thank you for making my smile pretty! :)
