Serves it’s purpose, so i give it 3 stars. That being said, if it wasn’t so close to my house(a mile), I’d have stopped going here a LONG time ago and gone up to the laundromat at Navajo and Fletcher where they actually have people working there all the time. Some times it is difficult to park here too because of the fools eating food from Sun tacos next door sit in their cars and waste space, or just park like complete jackasses in the middle of the lot where there are no spaces. They don’t pay the people that work here to be here as often as they are needed. As a result, it has really gone down hill. Lately machines have stolen my quarters and there’s no one here for me to get my money back. Change machines run out of quarters frequently, so that’s annoying too. In recent months, washing and drying machines have been breaking and don’t get fixed or replaced for long amounts of time, if at all. I shouldn’t be surprised though, because in the past 6+ months no one is here during the day, I watch as idiotic parents let their kids just run around though here and treat the machines like playground equipment. Control your damned kids or don’t bring them!

Wish I can give no starts at all. This place sucks, unorganized and no one to help you. As im doing laundry there called the phone # available to ask for help but of course no answer. All drying machines are taken by someone who is not even here. And u can’t just take they’re close out. So now im standing here until someone decides to show up and come for their damm clothes. Really irritating.

I guess I should have checked the dates of the previous reviews. This place is a mess.

The speed queen washers made my clothes smell funny. I used my normal detergent at my previous apt laundry with no problem. Wont be using those machines again. Especially at 6 bucks a pop. Overall the rest of the place is fairly clean. I like my other spot in La Mesa however.

I really wanted to just drop my down comforter off to be cleaned and really didn’t have any time constraints or any specific directions… just wanted my comforter cleaned. I walk in and stand by the window where it looks like the cashier is. I noticed 2 women towards the back of the store but it took them a good couple of minutes for them to address me. They were very rude. I tried to be nicer than necessary so that maybe they’d turn their attitudes around… nope that didn’t happen. I told them I just wanted to drop it off. The main woman came back with, «well we can’t do it tonight.» I said that was completely fine, take their time. She said, «well it will cost you $ 20.00.» I said that was fine. It was almost like I was inconveniencing her and she was trying to find a way to get me to not want to use them anymore. I left thinking I would be picking up my comforter in worse shape. Then, without telling me when the comforter was ready, I get a call a couple of days later saying they were closing for the weekend in 30min and if I wanted my comforter I should come get it now. It was such an odd bad experience. Never going there again. And my comforter smelled funny after.

Never imagined I’d give 5 stars to a Laundromat. This place is great. Not having my own washer/dryer anymore sucks, but this helps lessen the sting. The staff is really friendly and treat you like extended family. There’s a guy there and his wife that work there most days and evenings, and they are so nice. I’ve passed a few evenings waiting for my clothes to dry just talking about life with the guy, and his wife seriously is so meticulous with my loads of laundry when I do fluff and fold service. I tend to leave stuff in my pockets sometimes, and I’ll pick up my clothes, all neatly washed and folded, and there will be an envelope at the bottom, with all the crap they found in my pockets, along with an inventory list. For example, check this out: «Found in pockets: 35 cents, plastic bottle sipper top, small ceramic tile» «Threw away: ½ glass bottle top neck, candy wrap, toothpick» «Found in dryer: folded note, plastic case for toothpick?» That’s service! Clean place, and unlike the average laundry mat, there don’t seem to be many weirdos. Fluff and fold service is awesome too… I just drop my clothes off in the morning, and by that afternoon, I pick them up freshly laundered and folded. Love it, and saves a ton of time.

For one of my former jobs, I would launder somewhere between 150 and 400 pounds of clothing every week. This laundromat has a decided lack of skeevy weirdo customers, is SUPER-clean, and has the added bonus of an excellent taco shack in the same strip mall. They also offer a fluff and fold service at VERY competitive rates. There are times when you need to get your laindry done ASAP, and this place fills the bill very nicely.

I’ve been living in La Mesa now for over a year. This place is a life saver. Close, convenient and never packed. «My» Speed queen washers are always open and I can sit there and do my 5 – 6 loads all at the same time. The people that work there/clean up at night are nice enough and will talk to you if you’re in the mood for chatter if you’re not playing your PSP or texting while doing laundry. The ONLY downside I can think of is the grease trap on the side of the building from the burrito shop… if you happen to be downwind from said grease trap, your olfactory receptor’s are in for a not-so-pleasant surprise. Edit**you can’t use new 5’s in the change machines!
