I called this florist to order a special flower arrangement because of the good reviews on Unilocal.I have called three days now and have left several messages. No one answers the phone or returns my phone calls. I would think someone would because next week is Valentine’s Day. I have located another florist in the area and have placed my order with them.

Sarah helped my dream wedding come to reality. I had spoken to lots of design and floral specialists for our fall wedding and the quotes I had gotten from a few well known designers were just so high and crazy. Sarah knew from the very beginning what I wanted and she shared the same vision I had for each design. Communicating with her and sharing Pinterest ideas and boards was convenient and easy. What mattered most was her ability to execute so professionally, timely and beautifully. Thank you for all your help and for making my dream wedding come to life Sarah!

Sarah did the flowers for my wedding. She was on time for every meeting, organized, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. And, the flowers were sensational and beyond anything I had imagined! Would highly recommend her!

I used L&S for my flowers for my wedding this past May. I give it three stars because when I first met with them they were super sweet, super helpful, and were very accommodating to what I was looking for. Prices seemed to be very reasonable.
In the beginning they responded to my changes (I ended up taking some stuff off due to budget concerns, and I also added on an extra bouquet as well as added extra flowers to my MOH bouquet).
The reason I am giving three stars, though, is because I was very disappointed with how everything turned out. About a month leading up to our wedding I got in contact with all my vendors to confirm arrival time, etc. But L&S never responded, either through email or through phone call. Being a busy working mom I was not able to go down in person (although I do not feel like I needed to do that). I had paid them all up front, and by the big day I still had not heard from them (so basically I was praying that they would show up).
The flowers did show up but we were missing my MOH bouquet (which we had to scramble to put together something so she had something to walk down the aisle with). The BM bouquets were not as big as I had expected. We had baby’s breath, and those are not pricey at all, and for paying $ 20 a piece I expected a bit more. I also had expected my bouquet to be a bit bigger and although it was beautiful it was not as big as I had expected… Eventually they did not come back with my MOH bouquet (but it was already after the ceremony and well into the reception).
I know they have done amazing work before (they had done my sister wedding, which is how I was referred to them), but it was definitely extra stress on our day that I did not need. I am not sure if I would use them again… but I was definitely upset by how everything was handled.

I have found my florist! Prom season and I’m looking for a unique and beautiful corsage and boutonnière. I called just three days out after looking at reviews on Unilocal and looking at the photos from L&S, which are exquisite by the way. Shannon was able to text me examples and said she could fit me in. We just picked up the items and they are perfect. Also picked up a potted succulent arrangement for Mother’s Day.

Still the best florist in the county. Loved our recent centerpiece for our St. Patrick’s Day dinner party. It has lasted for 10 days!

Several purchases later I am still delighted with their utterly glorious floral artistry and am pleased to report Linda is lovely when it’s not Oktoberfest :)

LOVE this flower shop! Owners Sarah & Linda are very accommodating, creative and super personable. I have purchased many arrangements and they are always beautiful. I have given them a specific vision for a piece or let them do what they do best and I’ve always been pleased with the outcome!
Prices are reasonable and they seem to occasionally have fun offers (valentines day specials, Mother’s Day, etc).
Another unique aspect of L&S is that they offer seasonal workshops! They teach you all the of their tricks to making beautiful arrangements, wreaths and so much more! It’s very inspiring!

I have been here several times and I am always happy with the service! There is something extra special and creative about the arrangements. I especially like the vintage feel of their «found» containers. Great, friendly customer service too!

Beautiful! Everything these ladies do is creative and lovely! I just took one of their wreath making classes and had a fantastic time (and everyone’s wreath came out gorgeous). Definitely check this place out for events or to spruce up your own home!

I live in the neighborhood and I walked into L&S one day because the store looked so cute. I continue to be amazed at the beautiful bouquets Sarah creates. I am so impressed that I have a standing order for a $ 15-​dollar bouquet every weekend. (It’s incredible what I get for $ 15!) I used to buy my flowers at farmers markets, but they look dowdy compared to what Sarah puts together.
I never plan to buy flowers anywhere else.

Sarah is fabulous! Met her to discuss flowers for my wedding (9÷21÷13) and immediately felt like she understood my vision. She pieced together a really affordable and organized quote — with pictures and everything. I made a few changes the month prior and Sarah adjusted the quote, but some didn’t translate into the right stuff on the big day. One example is we wanted mom’s corsages to instead be pins but that wasn’t a huge deal to me. I also noticed that some of the blush pink roses on the BM bouquets looked like they were a bit old and browned so we had to pick a few petals off. Other than that, the centerpieces and florals for the ceremony looked wonderful. Sarah was a huge help in getting us what we envisioned for our wedding and Linda was so sweet when she dropped off the flowers. We also got a ton of compliments on how beautiful the cake flowers looked (cascaded down one side of the cake). Thanks L&S!

If I could, I would give L&S a million stars out of the 5 star grading scale.
I am not a review writer, this is the first time I do this but Sarah and Lisa deserve this and more!
I love love love L&S it was late december that I found this gem, I was starting the process of planning my wedding and while waiting to meet with a friend I caught sight of this wonderful little shop, bought two gorgeous peonies the size of my head and found my florist. I immediately felt comfortable and even spend about 30minutes talking to linda and Sarah about my upcoming wedding. When I left, I called my Fiancé and told him I had found our wedding florist! the process was soo easy: We scheduled an appointment, I showed Sarah my pintrest flower board, we exchanged a few ideas and with her creativity she perfected my dream wedding. All with a professional and very sweet manner. My proposal was done in a timely manner possibly even faster than I expected and both Lisa and Sarah are always available to answer and attend to my questions and request.
I was truly terrified as I was learning the price of a wedding and I was quite disappointed by the wedding industry, but when I found L&S and their reasonable pricing I was completely delighted that I could have my dream wedding without braking the bank!!!
Ever since I made up my mind on L&S I have been receiving and buying flowers from their shop and they are always beyond perfect.
In february I bought the most amazing and nicely price corsage, perfect and beyond what I expected even with the extreme late notice. (I called Lisa at 12 and picked up by 2).
I bought my mothers flowers (order the same day on mothers day, with two hours or so before I needed to pick them up).My mother was flabbergasted when she saw them, they were just so gorgeous.
This memorial day weekend my fiancé went on a backpacking trip and since I was staying home alone he order me yet the most magnificent bouquet ever! And I get flowers every week but this bouquet was exceptional. He says he called Sarah very last minute and said can you please make something for Mara, you know what she likes. AND SHE TOTALLY NAILED IT!
All in all L&S is AMAZING! So happy I found them and very excited to see more of Lisa and Sarah’s beautiful work as my wedding florist and month of planners.
My fiancé has decided that from now on all my flowers are coming from L&S ! yeahyy !

I love L&S. I live close by, so I often walk by their store. For mother’s day I wanted to make my mom a succulent planter, so I thought I would see if L&S could help (I have noticed they have a variety of succulents available for sale). Linda was really helpful, and I was able to put something great together that my mom loved.

While coordinating a wedding last summer, the bride last minute decided she wanted a chalkboard with their names and wedding date. Sarah went over and above to make the piece incredible. The ceremony pieces were amazing with wood alter pieces and large flower bouquets. The bride really wanted yellow throughout the wedding and they nailed it! The whole feel was a rustic theme and the centerpieces, accent flowers and décor was a total hit!
The shop has all your needs covered. From a bouquet last minute, beautiful arrangements and event décor! The flowers are always fresh and they create incredible pieces that I could never dream up in my head!
I would recommend any flower/​décor/​coordination/​design needs to the L&S Design Co. ladies!!!

L&S is amazing! They did the bouquets and boutinerres for our wedding. I met with Sarah at their adorable shop in La Mesa and showed her what I had in mind. I didn’t want your average bouquets and asked to add in things you normally wouldn’t see in a bridal bouquet. She completely understood my vision and had really great ideas to add. She was excited about creating the arrangements and made me feel completely confident that I was going to get what I wanted. The morning of the wedding when the flowers were delivered I was completely blown away at how perfect they turned out. They were all even more beautiful than I could have imagined and were so unique. They were definitely one of my favorite things about that day!
Sarah and her mom Linda were so helpful and accommodating. They were attentive to my price range and were helpful in getting me what I wanted at a price that I needed :) I had some last minute changes that I called about and they were more than happy to help. They are both so sweet and were genuinely happy and excited for me. I do not have enough good things to say about L&S, from their service to their beautiful flowers, they are amazing… seriously, use them!

Their style is right up our alley… elegant with a nice hint of contemporary. We love this little shop. Prices were lower then I would expect. And the proprietors are really friendly. They have been in business for years, its only the shop that is new.
Glad they are near our ‘hood.

I came by the day they opened and was amazed at how awesome the décor was in this place. I’m a guy and not too into floral design/​arrangements but their space looked amazing and they’re very good at what they do. I’ve actually bought 4 different arrangements here, 2 for family and 2 for coworkers and they’ve all adored them. Their arrangements are very well priced and the business owners (who are always there) are great at making them look fantastic. I would highly recommend for quick flower pick up, weddings, events, whatever. You won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful little shop in downtown La Mesa that integrates event planning and design with floral arrangements. Just picked up a beautiful blue hydrangea!
I’m so happy to see Sarah open a brick and mortar location. She’s done the design for numerous events and campaigns at my company– all wonderful. She has the great ability to illustrate your vision, be it whimsical or professionally clean and crisp. Not to mention, she’s a pleasure to work with.
This ability with the combination of her mother’s decades of event planning for the Coronado Hyatt is truly inspired!
