Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt

Came here last night with the family after pizza. Kyle did a great job even though there was a line stacking up behind us we never felt rushed! We tried most of the flavors… sour apple was interesting but I went with the mint and was not dissapointed. There were plenty of toppings as well… gummy bears, butterfinger, fruit, etc. We will definitely come back! :)

Usually love this place but this time I think someone forgot to check the date on their products. My peanut butter cup tasted sour. Not sure if I want to go back now.

I’m a huge fan of frozen yogurt, while my husband is merely ambivalent about it; but we both love Golden Spoon! The staff are friendly and patient when working with anyone from small children to great-​grandparents, and make you feel welcome when you walk in the door. They also tell you about special deals, like double-​stamp days! Who doesn’t want to get that free yogurt an extra day sooner, right?!
The yogurt here is especially rich and creamy, not thin or icy at all. Every flavor we’ve tried is delicious, although we tend to go with old favorites like vanilla and peanut butter. They also have a nice variety of toppings to choose from, if you’re into that sort of thing. :)

Warm night stopped in for frozen yogurt. the young man serving us continued to complain about the yogurt machines not working correctly, he was the only server that we saw. The tables were not cleaned, the floor was sticky with candy bits. Only one other small family was there at the time, they ask him to clean up their area. He continued to grumble about the others that work there. Our other visits to this location have been pleasant. Also he served us a very small portion:(

I was in the area for dinner, had a craving for fro-​yo and found this location on the handy Unilocal app.
The young lady behind the counter was awesome! She let us sample until we made up our minds. I told her I had the check-​in discount offer & she said I didn’t have to worry about pulling it up and gave me the discount. She told us about the email club and gave us a stamp card to earn free yougurt. mmmmm FREEEEE!!!
Price was reasonable, service was on point. I’ll visit again when I’m in the area.

Golden Spoon is one of my favorite places to get frozen yogurt. Coffee and cake Batter are my two favorite flavors and I always get cookie dough on top! The employees are always so sweet and helpful! Toni and Liam served me and my family quickly and with a smile. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Great froyo

I must confess. This was a Plan B visit. We were originally going to another place to get a free froyo for the unofficial National Frozen Yogurt Day. After picking up Daughter from school and driving past the ridiculously long line of customers out the frozen yogurt store’s door, I muttered something inappropriate then pulled over to check the handy dandy search app for the next nearest frozen yogurt location.
Parking was a breeze at the strip mall and it wasn’t busy at all. Just us and the cheerful gal behind the counter. Mini-​me picked strawberry plus some toppings. I was feelin’ kinda sorbet, so strawberry-​kiwi flavor for me. The gal did her froyo artistry and also asked if Mini-​me preferred the pink colored gummy frog from the array of available toppings. Approved. I think my kid liked the sorbet better since she spun the cup around leaving the mostly strawberry froyo side to me.
Other notables: free yogurt stamp card and a Unilocal check-​in 10% discount with minimum $ 5 purchase.
Note to self: I need to remember to bring hair ties next time to keep Mini-me’s locks from the froyo treatment.

I love the outdoor seating! Samples are always great. My favorite so far would be the mai tai sorbet & root beer float

This is the first frozen yogurt shop that I’ve been to before all the self-​serve places opened. Anyways, I love the consistency of the frozen yogurt and it tastes more like soft serve ice cream! This place brings back high school memories when my bffs would come here to get froyo and talk about life lol. For the price you get so much more as compared to other frozen yogurt places which needs to be weighed. I always get half and half flavors! The mini size is so cute and they always fill up the cup!

How do I love golden spoon? Let me count the ways:

Yummy toppings
Friendly service
Punch cards for free yogurts every few purchases
Doesn’t charge by the pound so you can get a ton in your cup at a third of the price than almost every other guy in town
The staff does not skimp on your cup! They fill it as full as possible!

I can not like a place that charges $.55 to put a teaspoon of sprinkles on a $ 3 cone of frozen yogurt

This place is not self-​serve. I like to go ham and mix like six different flavors.
They lack the best topping ever: condensed milk and red bean.
The girls that work here are always super nice.
They do have mochi as a topping.
Their restroom is always clean.
You get a stamp on your stamp card for every purchase.
Earned a high rating from me because my husband says they have the best vanilla in town and I love him.

So glad I found this gem of a yogurt shop!
The facility is clean, light and bright. The young ladies who work there are always upbeat and friendly. I like the various low-​fat and fat-​free options. The flavors are diverse, always changing, and tasty. I also appreciate the Golden Spoon frequent diner card (I’m up to four punches! Woo hoo!). I recommend the chocolate-​peanut butter blend.
They have a variety of delicious flavors and toppings. It’s like a little slice of Willy Wonka, and their product is consistently high quality and delicious. The prices are fair and the portions are ample. I really have no reason to give this Golden Spoon nothing but five-​stars; they’ve earnt it.
We’ll be back!

Wish they were open later for those few times I anted yogurt past 930… but, this IS San Diego!
I wish Golden Spoon as a brand had a SF choice.

Pretty good yogurt and a very large selection of toppings. I like how they always have a different selection of yogurt and around the holidays you get stuff like Pumpkin Pie and Egg nog. My wife loves the yogurt here and while I’m not crazy about it, I think you get your money’s worth here.
The staff there is always very friendly and do a good job of making you feel welcomed there.

We used to come here all the time, but in the 2+ yrs since then I’ve been indoctrinated into the cult of Yogurtland where you can do your own toppings.
Here you have to tell the worker which toppings you want, which might be more sanitary but takes longer. I don’t know if it’s more expensive or not; I think they’re about the same.
The way the toppings work is… well, I’m still not sure. The menu says «regular» or «mini» for 99 cents or 55 cents, and the lady said with the regular you get 3 scoops (I think) and the mini is less. So my kids got to select 3 toppings for the «regular’. It confused me and obviously still does.
For two regulars and one mini yogurt (mini with mini toppings) it was $ 11 plus change.
No tart here, which is my favorite, but I got the chocolate and peanut butter. The mini was plenty for me. The regulars have a huge «mountain» on top.
There’s also a sign that says if you’re eating in you get charged tax. I guess we were charged that too because we ate in. This is why I saw people eating in their cars just outside.

Came by… I used to live close to this yogurt shop. It was my favorite spot for froyo. I got to sample them and get my favorites.
Cake batter is the best!
