I have been coming to Blue lotus for about 5 years. I absolutely love the staff. Adria and Alex are amazing. I can get a facial and massage for $ 99.
I definitely feel relaxed and refreshed.

This place was wonderful! I was so relaxed and felt very comfortable with the lady giving the massage.

Great massage therapists. My mom and I regularly receive massages at Blue Lotus and we each have our own favorite therapists. My mom, who is very picky, has had great results with Adria (sp?) and I have noticed a remarkable improvement in my neck and shoulders with Leanna. If you need a great therapeutic massage at a great price, Blue Lotus is the place to go!

took my mom in for a facial and massage for mothers day she had lisa and i can’t remember the other lady but they were amazing i had a facial that was also amazing she took her time was extremely nice and i felt so relaxed unfortunately i can not write two separate reviews my massage was awful i am in three to four time more pain than when i went in with. my masseuse only rubbed oil on me and applied pressure to certain spots (think someone holding a stick firmly against your skin… i told her it hurt and she said she was trying to get my muscle to release) um OK? after ten minutes of hold your hand in the same place and i still say it hurts shouldn’t you try to massage it??? i am extremely upset that «massage» was not worth the money i paid nor would it be worth even 10 $ make sure you schedule with lisa if you go here

I have been to Blue Lotus several times. I usually get their massage package which gives you a deal off the regular price. I have also had 2 facials there. Unfortunately, I do not remember the gals names that worked on me but there were all very good.
The place is clean and roomy, it would be nice if they added a few touches to «warm» up the place and make if feel a little softer than «clinical».
But overall, I would come back!

Melissa is a GODDESS. I came on in my husband’s year and a half old gift cert. No questions asked, no hassle, nothing but good vibes. I was so overdue and so knotted up I was almost crooked. Melissa took her time, did not rush and I literally floated out of there. I was looking forward to rummaging around next door on either side at the Goodwill and at the consignment shop but I found I couldn’t even talk, I felt like I had just taken a valium with a glass of wine. A really gooooooooood feeling. I made another appointment for after payday!!!

Me and my lady just used our Living Social deals for an hour long massage and 30 minute facial. I was very pleased. Tanya did my massage and did an awesome job. I just had my first facial and don’t really feel like that’s my thing. But the esthetician was very friendly. I enjoyed my experience here and will probably be back to see Tanya for another massage. Their regular price for an hour massage is 65

I was very pleasantly surprised in receving an amazing massage and facial thanks to Living Social. My husband and I usually try new massage places if they have those daily deals, and 75% of the time the service is what you pay for; skimpy and or lacking. This time… it was just truly amazing and WELLLLL worth the deal price. Plus I noticed their regular pricing is very modest and affordable. Bonus!
We came on a Friday evening, and knowing downtown La Mesa, tried as best we could to get there early and find parking. We scurried into Blue Lotus right on time, which in my opinion is late, considering the paperwork you fill out as a first timer. The receptionist greeted us by name as we walked in (LOVE that!), and got us ready to quickly complete paperwork and have a seat on the comfy couches.
Lisa Alves was my therapist, I really loved her energy. She did not leave me hanging for countless minutes during the disrobing, it was like she knew exactly when I was ready for her. (That is usually my biggest peeve getting a massage!) She started by setting some breathing expectations and then just went to work. A-​MAZE-​ING. In a much gentler way than I had ever experienced, she dissolved all the knots in my shoulders neck and back. She had perfect flow, perfect pressure, and worked in a lot of cool techniques for stretching muscles.
After my massage, I was told to robe up and walk next door for my facial. Lisa was so sweet, making sure I had a good experience and giving me a warm hug as I made my way in with Alex for my first facial ever! Yes, thats right. First facial ever. And man, was it awesome. I left my warm robe on in this room as it was a bit cooler, and I was sooo comfy and in heaven the whole time. She used perfect preassure and was pleasant all around, even smelled great (I know that sounds weird but its a must when you have someone over your face breathing the same air as you!!) She gave a great little neck and shoulder massage too, which was bonus to the massage I had already. I was like a noodle when all was said and done, and my face was glowing all weekend long. The cucumbery stuff she used really complimented my skin type.
My husband was very pleased with his massage and scrub as well. And we both noticed that, although we were a few minutes behind, they did NOT skimp on our treatment time. I’m sure it was because it was a bit slower than normal hours, and I would have fully expected shortened time considering I was the late one… but they really took care of us and we appreciated that.
WOW. If you just read all this then I hope you are really amped to go try Blue Lotus out! I just re-​lived my experience typing it and am about to search my calendar for a day soon to come back! You will not be disappointed with either of these ladies! Thanks Lisa and Alex!

loved the massage was so detailed and thurough! just perfec! the girls there ae soo nice and very welcoming, they walk you to the front and are always friendly with a smile… i went back the next day :)

I have been here twice so far and would definitely return. The first time, I got the Earth Rose Facial and the second time I got the Green Tea Facial. I don’t recall the name of the lady that did my facials but I do recall she was Asian. She was very gentle and thorough. The facials were top-​notch.
I recommend getting on Blue Lotus’s email list, as it will notify you of when they are having sales. Typically the sales are $ 20 off any given service.
Look for Blue Lotus at the La Mesa Oktoberfest too, because they usually bring out their massage chair to the sidewalk – I think its a dollar a minute. During the festival they also sell gift certificates for massages and facials at a discounted price.
Parking is metered in front of the store, so if you go during the day – bring quarters. I think on Sundays the meters are free. If you are willing to park a few blocks away, like at Henry’s Marketplace then you can get free parking and walk to the store.

Just went there last night to redeem my local coupon for a 30 minute facial and hour massage. The facial was done by Yoki, she start off a little rough and it seemed like she was rushing but then she calmed her strokes and did give me a great facial. not the best i’ve ever had but definitely a steal for what i paid, i would see her again if i had a coupon.
The massage was done by Elizabeth who was very friendly and appeared to be an experienced therapist. she really worked my back which was so knotted up i couldnt believe it! i came in with a stiff neck and left with a stiff neck which i thought was kind of wierd, but my neck feels better so… i dont know. again, i would come back in a heartbeat with a coupon but otherwise i would stick with my usual joint Eroma in RSD.
One thing i didnt like in either room was how bright they were! i see all these candles on the wall and think ‘ooh this is going to be nice and relaxing’ but no, they kept the white light lamps on the whole time! use the candles, or at least use a softer color on the light bulbs. i definitely had a better experience than the other Unilocalers i think.

The best thing about this place are the robes and the slippers. I came here on a living social deal and had an hour massage and express facial. The massage was decent except that the therapist seemed confused when I told her to just do my back, neck and shoulders vs. a full body massage. Almost like I threw her routine and she didn’t know what to do for the duration of the appointment. Lackluster. The facial, however was downright BAD. I’m not sure if facials are a new service they’re offering but as far as I could tell the esthetician was using a Buff Puff and some products she bought at CVS (everything was in ominious labeled blue bottles). She didn’t describe what she was doing or what she was putting on my skin and didn’t ask me anything about my skin (I did fill out a questionnaire prior to my appointment, though). She lacked confidence in her abilities and it came through in my service. I left greasy and with exfoliant still on my face.
The staff seems curteous and pleasant enough. The space itself is clean but not totally inviting. The rooms consist of massage tables with a basic sheet on them. I like a little pamering and thought put into my spa experience… nice smelling candles, cozy surroundings, etc.

I actually went here a long time ago, so my bad for waiting until now to review it. I went here when they had a deal for $ 40 massage. The massage was good, but it left me wanting more, in a bad way.
First of all though, the place was somewhat difficult to find. My friends and I circled around like twice. Plus, they don’t have their own lot. If I remember correctly, we had to use a meter.
So back to the massage. The service was good, they were very nice and accommodating. However, the room was so cold. The whole time during the massage I kept thinking about how cold it was. I don’t feel the massage is worth the $ 40… or $ 60 at regular price. It feels more like a $ 30 or even $ 20 massage. At least that was from the girl I got.
I wouldn’t go back, but it’s worth a shot. Maybe you’ll be luckier that I was. With massage places, it’s all about the person you get.

Granted I’ve only had three facials before (downtown SD, Wynn Las Vegas, and Catalina Island), but this is undoubtedly the best of all three. Gentle hands, concentration on pressure points, awesome massage. Could not ask for more with the facial itself. The walls are a bit thin and I was able to hear conversations outside the room but everything was so wonderful that it makes up for it and then some. I was honestly worried I had accidently asked for a more expensive facial halfway through my treatment. People pay a lot more money in snooty massage parlors for the services here. Definitely worth every penny.

My boyfriend and I went in for the couples massage and it was fantastic! The entire experience was great. Never had a massage before and this was a good way to start it off. Music, candle lighting, water fountain, apple cider, and chocolate dipped strawberries. Really neat. Not to mention the massage itself! Worked the entire body. Back, shoulders, legs, arms, even neck and temples.
Loved it. We are definitely going to be going there again. But next time we are going to do the dinner deal one, where you get a meal from Tiramisu across the street as well.

I went in not long ago for a massage and a wax, and I would definitely recommend them. The massage therapist was very responsive, and I left feeling that my lower back and shoulder (which had both been aching) had really gotten the attention they needed. Scheduling was easy and so was parking. The environment was relaxed, respectful, and down-​to-​earth (not airy-​fairy or elitist in any way).
All in all, I had an excellent experience and I plan on going back. The only thing that keeps this from being a 5 star review is that the waxing went a little long, and I nearly had to postpone my massage to another day. Other than that, everything was great!
