Having chronic pain led me to working with many specialists to achieve over all health and wellbeing. After having tried a few different places, I found Bobbi and stuck with her. I have not one complaint– this is truly a place to invest in your health.
First– she knows the body more than any other «holistic» massage places I’ve tried. This is very important to me– given my medical needs. The warm and cozy feel is not lost.
Having a customised massage is great– not so many restrictions!
The office is always so clean, smells so soothing, and a perfect place to come and RELAX. It is wonderful entering in one state of being and leaving in balance and a positive mindset. My body feels SO great the whole day.
Also. I never feel concerned about talking or not talking– other places have not been so professional. Extremely comfortable, tension free zone to unwind and enjoy every minute. Which reminds me– she is always on time, and never takes one minute away from your set time. It’s great how comfortable you feel on the table. Always prepared with clean sheets, variety of music, and timely response to scheduling.
Give her a try– especially those with chronic conditions– you will be more than pleased to find such a wonderful healer.

Bobbi is an excellent massage therapist. I have had numerous massages at spas as well as Doctor/​chiropractor offices and Bobbi has been one of the best. I told Bobbi exactly where my pain was (lots of neck/​shoulder pain and tension and some mid back) and she was able to work out a lot and I felt better in the days that followed. For me personally, if I am seeking a massage for pain relief (rather than relaxation) I find it most helpful to tell the therapist to focus exclusively on those areas and not do any work on any other part of my body. I did this with Bobbi and the results were wonderful. I FELT BETTER after previously being in pain for a couple of weeks. I would highly recommend Bobbi to anyone!

I recently visited Bobbi’s office for chronic back and shoulder pain .
I am a florist and suffer from constant shoulder and back pain from lifting all those buckets of water. Not only does she know what she’s doing she listens to her clients and has the ability to apply her knowledge of her craft to what she does.
It’s rare to find someone who not only can give a good strong yet light touch in her massage .
Not only is she good at what she does she goes out of her way to create a warm & relaxing environment in her office. It is truly a soothing experience.

Bobbi is an excellent massage therapist. She has a talent that cannot be learned. She can feel what is going on with/​within the client. She has been working on me for several months. My sciatica kept me pretty well crippled up until I began regular body work sessions. A steady régime of massage has made a vast difference. I’ve been getting massage therapy for quite a while now, and have visited a few therapists. In a couple of cases I might as well have been a CPR dummy. They loaded the massage program and ran it to the end. Hum?
Not so with Bobbi. She’s always right there. Once in a while, when the intensity ramps up a bit, I’ll think that it’s getting close to asking her to ease up some. That’s exactly when she stops. No amount of training will give someone that level of sensitivity.
This is not to imply that Bobbi is not well trained. She has clearly been doing this awhile, with an assortment of techniques to use as necessary. It’s never the same massage twice. Pretty close of course, since a bad back is a bad back. However, it affects & is affected by many other parts of the body. It’s sensing the connections within the body that day, that brings in the variations in the massage, It’s the difference between and artist & a mechanic.

I’ve been to Bobbi three times and have referred 4 people (including my husband) to her. Today when I arrived for my appointment, it became quickly clear that there was another person there for a massage at the same time. Bobbi ushered that person in. I waited in the waiting room and when she came out she explained that I wasn’t in her book. I showed her the email confirmation I received from her online appointment system to which she replied, «Didn’t you have a prior cancellation?» — yes, I had cancelled a prior appointment with ample notice and rescheduled to today and was showing her the conformation and appointment reminder. She didn’t apologize, didn’t even seem surprised or at all upset. She offered to re-​book me (no discount or any kind of consolation) and when I refused she said, «Ok have a nice day.» That was it. Seriously? If someone showed up at my work with proof of an appointment with me I would be SO apologetic and accomodating. She did not care at all. I get system malfunctions, but at least pretend to be interested in making it right. I even question if there WAS a system issue and not just an issue with Bobbi since she immediately remembered that I had canceled and rescheduled my appointment.
Maybe she was mad I had to reschedule prior (even though I gave more than the notice she requires) so she cancelled my appointment. I’m not sure. But, hey, what’s the loss? It’s only my birthday. At least the babysitter got paid.

Bobbi at body works by Bobbi should be called magical Bodyworks by Bobbi. Bobbi’s is not just a place to go get relaxed. She’s a true massage therapist who can get the things done that sometime other professionals cannot get down. Bobbi truly goes the extra mile to make sure that whatever your issues maybe they are taking care of even if that means sending you somewhere else to get exactly what you do need. Bobbi even introduced me to a product called tea tree which got rid of a toenail fungus problem I’ve had for years even after removal surgery of a toenail that didn’t solve the problem. So whatever your physical problems maybe I would highly recommend you see Bobbi at Bodyworks by Bobbi

Having broken my neck in a car accident nearly 30 years ago and being a long-​time dancer with bad hips and a lower back, I’ve had a number of massages in my lifetime. I am very picky about who I let work on my body, and I trust Bobbi to know what she is doing and to get the job done right. She can get into the knots when I have them (which is frequently) and do light strokes when my body just needs some TLC. She’s not only does great work, but also takes the time to educate me on my body with tips to help prevent reoccurring injuries. Stepping into her massage room is like stepping into another world — a little oasis in the chaos of life. I always leave her office feeling relaxed and healthy!

Bobbi is very knowlegeable and knows exactly what she is doing. She is gentle and consistent but has plenty of strength when a particular technique is necessary.
She always reviews in advance what she will be doing and sets a goal before the session.

Bobbi is AMAZING! She is one of the few that knows the technique called «stripping» which feels like each tendon and muscle is being detangled individually. Hard to explain but I heard about it in Virginia and Bobbi made my hamstrings feel like new. I literally thought I was loose enough to go play basketball after leaving her table but so drained from the session, I just wanted to relax. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for you next massage in San Diego. The appointment was easy to schedule on her website with all the prices listed.

Bobbi is fantastic! Love her massages. She has a lovely, warm, caring personality that makes you feel instantly relaxed. When I come see her for my monthly massage she knows what hurts on my body and fixes me up. I swear I fall asleep every time! She is super knowledgeable about the body and how it works. I hurt myself in Yoga with a rib twist. It was so painful. I couldn’t sit, lay down, drive or do anything without it hurting. I called Bobbi, she got me in the next day. She isolated the area and worked it. It hurt so good. After feeling a little sore the next day, within 2 days I was feeling almost all better. What a relief! I thought a doctor’s visit was in order and x-​rays but was so relieved that with Bobbi’s knowledge of the body, she was able to fix me up right away. Thanks Bobbi!

I went to Bobbi based only on Unilocal reviews and I’m so glad I did. I made a next day appointment for an hour massage due to tension in my neck that was causing migraines. She was very thorough before even getting in the back room, she asked about certain spots that I wanted to focus on and what pressure I could handle, etc. She really knows what she’s doing and I was super impressed by her. I’ve been to a few massage therapists over the years and none have come close to being as knowledgable as she is about the musculoskeletal system. Usually if my neck is rubbed it causes a migraine but I spent an hour with her and I walked out with no migraine that day or the days after. She for sure has my future business.

Although I get regular chiropractic adjustments and massages, my upper body muscles tend to get bound up from my many hours of sitting in the same position whether for reading or computer work. I recently had the pleasure of receiving a deep tissue massage by Bobbi of Bodywork by Bobbi. From the moment I stepped in the door, the outside world was quickly forgotten. The ambiance was so serene and relaxing — very on par with very expensive day spas. As requested, she gave me a deep tissue massage but it didn’t hurt like some of the others I’ve had where they use elbows to get ‘deep’. Bobbi accomplished the same or better results working with the muscles without discomfort. I left feeling completely relaxed — just like jello! If you are looking for a deep tissue massage — I highly recommend Bobbi!

I was having some issues with my neck and shoulders, since I am a professional photographer, and regularly have strain that results in aching pain. Bobbi has so much knowledge about the muscles, along with specializing in sports therapy, that she knew exactly what places to target. You know that feeling when you don’t even have to pinpoint exactly where the pain is coming from, she located it and gave me relief!
She is a great listener and allowed me to fully relax during the treatment when I didn’t want to talk, just rest peacefully. I definitely recommend Bobbi if you want expert treatment from someone who is trained for healing.
