The dudes who work here are actually friendly and not on their cell phones while trying to buy yer stuff. They have a good beer selection and are in a good location that is easy to get in and out from. What sets them apart is it seems they are people persons who treat each costumer as an individual and not a nuisance.

easy walking distance from the Super 8 hotel on University. They have Arrogant Bastard and Stone IPA, bubbly water and half and half. I don’t know what else you might need from a liquor store, but I left happy!

Anyplace that provides alcohol for my tastebuds and belly is A-OK in my book. They have a wide selection ranging from your basic two buck chuck wines to a bottle of Dom if you are so inclined. And if you are inclined give me a holla because I wouldn’t mind some Dom myself: D Whenever I find myself in a bind and I’m cooking a fancy recipe and realize, last minute of course, I forgot an ingredient: butter or milk or syrup to name a few. I’ve headed down or my glucose has ran over to pick up what I need to make a delicious meal. A & W Liquor is your handy dandy neighborhood liquor store. If you go during rush hour, after work hours, parking can be a bit tricky since no one parks in a designated parking space, ha ha.

I love this place its more than just a liquor store you can get alot of last minute things to help out with cooking… they have cream of mushroom soup! its a bit of a small grocery store. I loved the old owners Pete and Nate. The new owner is such a sweet guy Lee he and his brother George run the store they are two hard working guys!

If I’m on my way home from work and want a laugh while picking up my 6-pack/bottle of bourbony goodness/Camels/etc., then I just head down the street to A & W. The owner(old dude) moved here from Iraq during the first Gulf War, and resurrected this sh-thole from the last retards that owned it. His son, who used to be a coach at my high school(Helix!) works the evenings there. He has made friends with a couple local skateboard kooks and they hang out there shooting the breeze with the younger guy. The younger guy and his friends’ antics are what make me keep coming back. That and the fact that every once in a while I manage to score some free stuff from whatever new item he’s got in the store for the month. Last month it was Jim Beam Hot Sauce. Holy sh-t that was hot! Anyhow, I just wanted to give A&W a shout. Peace.
