This location has the worst service ever! It’s 11:15 and they’re not pouring decaf or blonde roast any longer. They try to sell you an americano instead. Upon much insistance they do a pour over, which comes out undrinkable. Of course. Missing Bird Rock Coffee Roasters.

Great customer service! Line was much quicker than Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. Closest parking was a few blocks away. You can go for a walk to the ocean which is only a few blocks from their location

Rude, rude, rude! Two of the three workers behind the counter«baristas» worst ever. Thank God for the bald gentleman. The blonde female and dark haired feminine man exhibited POOR customer service. NO greeting NO communication whatsoever. She took my order by giving«the look» and took my money. That’s it. So sad. Whoever manages this location should visit more often and hire better qualified people to represent the business.

I just had the best Starbucks latte ever. The baristas were very nice and they make amazing drinks!

Truly great staff. Very friendly. But the place is always filthy. The upholstery on the armchairs is stained and disgusting. The new chairs(that replaced the old disgusting filthy chairs) are uncomfortable. Indoor seating is deficient and minimal. Outdoor seating is great.

As a soccer mom this is just a few blocks from Bird Rock Elementary where they have games on Saturday. I was able to walk here(about ½ mile) through a very nice and quiet neighborhood, and there was a nice pedestrian crosswalk with lights so I was easily able to cross the street safely and directly into Starbucks. It was very busy, and there was a line, but the staff did not seem at all flustered by this. People were also waiting for their drinks by the bar, and there was a nice open space for everyone standing around. I ordered a grande iced mocha, and it was consistent with what I expected. Staff was not overly friendly, but I would say that was due to the fact that they were so busy.

This is a nice little Starbucks where I like to come and do work when I’m interested in a little social interaction. It’s a clean facility and the staff is usually friendly. They do have a nice outdoor patio to lounge around at. I would go to the PB Starbucks but it’s dirtier and the Internet isn’t as fast. The only negative on this place is that they don’t leave out non-fat milk(nowhere in SD seems to though, which has me perplexed).

This is the best Starbucks in San Diego! The staff are super friendly and fast. The store is clean and with their recent remodel it looks very sharp. I’d say my favorite part about this store is the patio– it’s great for people and dog watching.

Um… Frrrreezing!!! Yes I bought my cup of coffee. It’s winter in San Diego and it’s probably 50 degrees in here with their AC blasting. We don’t really own winter coats in SD but it’s probably wise to wear one in here. Bring your scarf and hat too.

Once again Starbucks has consistent quality coffee. Maybe it is just the native Seattleite in me that keeps me coming back.

I have been to this Starbucks almost every day for the last 6 months! Perhaps I have a coffee addiction, hm… Friendly staff, fast service. What can I say about Starbucks to Starbucks fans that they don’t already know about Starbucks? When you need your fix, you make sure you get your fix. You’re all professionals now! But if you are lucky, you’ll find yourself getting your Starbucks needs taken care of in Birdrock. The cross street is Forward Street. If you’ve got a little extra time, point your toes forward to the ocean and take in the ocean view. You weren’t planning on being«on time» for work, were you? Yeah, right. Call your boss from the public bench at the end of Forward Street and tell him you’re tied up in traffic.

This location is alright. It’s certainly less exciting than the location on Garnet. You won’t have crazy homeless guys wandering in and causing a stir. It’s very quiet if you can avoid the Real Housewives of La Jolla coming in and gossiping at the top of their lungs. Very few tables inside. Most of the seating is outside, and if you’re a smoker be prepared to sit on the curb to enjoy your coffee. Fortunately I don’t smoke anymore, but when I did it was such a «drag» having to be away from the tables to enjoy a coffee and cigarette.

I don’t typically go to starbucks — I am a big on atmosphere and to me most starbucks feel stale and uncomfortable. This starbucks, however, is one of my favorite café’s because of the ample outdoor seating. It’s a great place to sit out in the sun and you can’t beat Birdrock on a gorgeous San Diego day!

This a great Starbucks with plenty of seating inside and outside. I stopped in Christmas morning to grab me a Grande Pikes Peak and a Maple Nut Scone. The Pikes Peak was very good as usual. A nice medium roast. The maple scone, which I forgot to ask them to warm it up, was very good never the less. I always enjoy the exterior maple sugary crust.( ) The inside was moist with an abundant of nuts.( ) Great scone. The employees here are very friendly and efficient. The place was very well kept except for a few tables that needed to be wiped down. I nice scones always puts a smile on my face.

One of the nicer Starbucks I have been to. Clean, busy(but the line moves quick) and the coffee is fresh. Sure the prices are high but you’re in Cali so deal with it. Nice patio outside that I actually bumped into someone who lived in Jersey(small world… well actually not really because we are all over!). Good place to stop when you are checking out the sites in La Jolla.

Alright, So this Starbucks gets 4 stars because it is ADORABLE. It has a cute inside and a great patio with tables outside, oh and it is literally steps away from the Ocean. I mean it does have an unfair advantage by being in Bird Rock already, but seriously, so adorable. I refuse to give the fifth store because NONE of the employees I spoke with were very pleasant! Don’t get me wrong, I understand having a bad day at work, but they seriously couldn’t even force a smile.

One of my favorite study places although others must think the same because the inside tables are usually packed on weekends. They also have a mice outdoor seating area for car/people watching which can be fun in this part of town. The baristas have always been friendly and the drinks are the same as any other Starbucks. Location and outdoor seating give this one a leg up on others.

Quiet locale with indoor and outdoor seating and walking distance from the beach… I stop by here every few weeks when I’m in the area visiting friends… I usually get here around 7:15pm and there’s barely any people here usually about 3 – 5 people studying… Their wi-fi signal seems pretty strong compared to others I’ve been too which is a plus… especially if you’re trying to write a Unilocal review on an iPad! ;) The partners that work here have always been very friendly and are quick at getting my drink ready… granted, there’s no one around really but still good to know I can get my drink quickly… It’s definitely a nice little starbucks… and definitely one of my favs…

I feel bad but I always end up taking advantage of Starbucks and all that it has to offer without, often, buying much of anything. Unfortunately this trip was more or less the same as I entered the Starbucks to use their bathroom. I did notice that this starbucks was very well setup as they had over 10 sets of tables and chairs inside a very small, cozy feel area but it did not feel crowded at all. They really took effective spacing into consideration! Also the baritas were friendly despite knowing that we were only there to use their bathroom and the wifi signal is pretty strong. The bathrooms were extremely clean and the location was GREAT for having a good time at Bird Rock.
