Great workout — super challenging, convenient times, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I’m giving this Club a 5 star review, even after JUST 2 CLASSES! First day I walked in, Nick and Shawn (the owners) greeted me so nicely and educated me all about their mission at Press Fitness Club for every member, along with a nice tour showing off their TRX, weights, air bikes, and so much more! I’ve already had Nick and Lori as my instructors and they are both great and very knowledgeable! Everyone’s personality has a good mix of «down to business» to «fun and friendly»! I have always been the typical do 30 minutes of cardio and some weight lifting and then I would get bored and lazy. This workout is such a refreshing hard challenge, there’s no way I can get bored! I feel different already even after 2 classes! I know that sounds strange, but feeling how sore I am makes me realize how much of my body is being worked to becoming tight and toned! I look forward to many workouts with these great instructors and club mates! I’m tired of being weak and trying to loose that last 10 pounds, but I have a positive feeling that I won’t be getting bored of Press Fitness workouts, or all the positive energy I’m already feeling from being active!

I started going to Press at the beginning of July through an ad I saw on Facebook. They had a competition going on and figured I would give it a try.
The gym is located in probably the nicest cities of all America, which can be intimidating but don’t let the deter you.
You will be greeted by either Nick or Shawn, the gym owners, and will instantly feel welcomed. They both bring to the table a vast amount of knowledge about fitness as well as nutrition. They have taken the time to educate themselves on what has proven results and able to help you achieve your health goals.
I was at a plateau and needed something that would get me to my next fitness level. With the coaching from the Press team, I’ve been able to break through that and step up my fitness game.
If you are looking for somewhere that is fun, has all the latest workout gear as well as exercises and want your workout to count — Press fitness is where it is at.

Not impressed with the facility or the instruction. They are friendly at reception but the quality significantly decrease as you walk into the workout room.
The Class
— It’s Bootcamp NOT TRX; there was only ONE exercise on the actual TRX & I took a class called 800 Calorie TRX Burn!
— Class is geared for advanced /​experienced people
— Instructor does not gear the class to the clientele, 70% of the class (including me) couldn’t keep up.
— Instructor never actually looked at anyone. It was weird.
— Not enough explanation on proper form
The Room
— Acoustics are terrible; they need sound baffling in the ceiling. I couldn’t understand a thing the instructor called out for the entire class.
— It’s very very dark. I felt like I was in a pub not a gym
— No mirrors. I can’t tell if my form is correct

I recently started attending Press Fitness through WildFire. I have gone six times already and, let me tell you, it is quite the workout! Being no stranger to pushing the fitness limits– I have done Crossfit, yoga, pilates, TRX, cycling, etc.— I really feel like I’ve finally found THE place for me!
Shawn and Nick, besides being the cutest/​nicest people, really pay attention to each individual and strive to create a new, challenging routine every time you go in. It really feels like a mix of Crossfit (pull-​ups, box work, lifting, etc.) and TRX coupled with sprints and HIIT.
Not to mention that they really want you to look and feel your best, which is why they’ve created a manual for the California Diet. It really is about a lifestyle change that is very doable! I am excited to go on this journey with them!
I highly recommend that you give this place a try!

I was a little nervous to try a new workout but Shawn and Nick are great instructors, they make me feel confident, motivated and they make it fun! The studio is clean, great location and I like the variety in the workouts. It is challenging and I’m working up my strength but they help provide modifications and ensure I understand how to do every move. I used to only do Pilates and Barre and I can’t believe I was missing out. Now I’m hooked to these workouts, I highly recommend Press Fitness!

I stopped by Press Fitness while I was visiting the area from a recommendation of a friend and I am glad I listened to them about going to see Shawn and Nick.
These two have it down: an amazing studio, concept/​training, and overall interaction with their guests. I felt like an individual in their group class with how detailed they were with the workout I was there for. Not only did they use my name from the first time I stepped into their studio, but they also made sure I was getting the most out of the workout. They made sure I was using the right amount of weight, not only to challenge myself, but also so I wouldn’t injure myself. I mean, my hands had blisters and my muscles hurt for days after, but that’s what you get with Press Fitness; RESULTS! I have never felt so good about a studio and their ideals until I went there. The workouts are not just about strength, yet they incorporate a lot of high intensity intervals that ANYONE can do!
The studio alone is amazing. Very chic decorations in the lobby, but when you are in the workout room, it something completely different. Of course it’s clean. Of course they have light and heavy weights. And yes they even have TRX (amazing for a studio to incorporation those into a workout). It’s their expertise in the fitness industry, attention to details, and passion for what they do that makes this studio amazing! Just from the few classes I was able to take with them, I know if I lived in the area I would be at a class everyday of the week.
Press Fitness is the studio that you just want to hang out at all day. They have classes, FREE water and towels, and the best two things after a KILLER workout… Chilled eucalypts towels and beer! Nothing is overlooked when you go to Press Fitness.
What kind of studio is this you might ask? The greatest studio you will ever go to! Let me tell you, you will never regret going to this studio. I can guarantee that after one session with Shawn and Nick, you will leave your gym and join theirs. What do you have to loose, other than a few pounds?!

I’m a runner and really wanted to find a class to break up all the cardio in my training schedule, but hadn’t really been able to find something I could see myself wanting to do more than occasionally. My search is over. So far I’ve been to two classes at Press Fitness, one with Shawn and one with Nick. Both were an awesome workout! I was so sore the first couple of days! Very challenging, with modifications based on your current fitness level. The class sizes are small, so they are able to keep an eye on everyone and correct form as needed (and see if you are cheating).
I will definitely be incorporating these classes into my cross training days.

Press Fitness is such a great workout! I took their group class called Shred which is set up as circuit training. The first half of class was strength focused, targeting the full body. The second class was a mix of cardio and body weight exercises. If you are looking for a high intensity full body workout — this is it! Shawn and her husband are both awesome trainers and get the job done — you will feel awesome after class.

Torch and tone… By far the best workout/​boot camp experience !!! Not only are the instructors amazing and motivational they honestly make you feel good about taking care of your body and love watching you succeed, this is a class for all age groups and every Fittness goal ! I have been going here for the past month and it has been a great experience! I have been to a few different gyms and this is one of my favorites. Shawn and Nick are both great instructors who give each person in the class individualized attention and are very motivating. I also like the variety of different workouts which are never boring but still intense and challenging.
I highly recommend that you give this place a try!

I can honestly say that after the first class I was/​am hooked! I heard about Press Fitness (previously The Bank Olympic) through Class Pass. I was a little nervous to take my first class as my typical work outs include Pilates, barre and spin; nothing that usually incorporates heavy weights. BUT I loved it! I haven’t been that sore from a work out (in a good way) for a really long time! The fast paced routine which incorporates high intensity circuits, weights, TRX straps and an ab series is intense and an all around killer exercise! After just two classes I already felt stronger and was able to do a couple pull ups (couldn’t do any without walking up the wall in the first class).
As for the instructors, Shawn and Nick are GREAT. Both are very motivating to the point where I find myself pushing myself harder because I don’t want to let them down. They are very attentive to everyone in the class and extremely focused on form.
I would recommend Press Fitness to any fitness level as every move can be modified. This is by far one of the best strength classes I have taken and I am excited to see the results.

My roommate and I first heard about BANK (aka Press Fitness) via Classpass and were very apprehensive to try it out. Something about lifting just kind of scared me as I’ve done crossfit workouts previously and have felt sore in all the wrong places. We are pretty fit but more often workout in TRX, spinning, yoga, and barre classes.
But we LOVED IT to the point that we are obsessed. Every exercise can be modified for your fitness level and it is by far one of the best strength classes I have ever been to in San Diego. Shawn and Nick are great and very focused on form. As a result, I have never been sore in my lower back and feel «good sore» after each workout. Shawn and Nick really care about everyone that comes into the gym and you can’t help but want to work hard for them.
If you are on the fence about trying, do yourself a favor and just go! Your body might dislike you during the workout, but you will LOVE the way you look and feel after. :)

Went here last night for my first class! Wow!!! Great workout! I am sore today, but the good sore! I worked out with Shawn and she is amazing! Very motivating and was pushing me to do my best, which is what I need! She even worked out with us! Love when trainers do that!
The studio it’s self is great! When you walk in the feel of it is very welcoming! I love the grassy wall and the brick wall in the reception area. It’s a very clean, modern, and hip feeling, which I love. They have changing areas and restrooms. They have water bottles for sale and a water cooler where you can also fill up your water bottle as well.
Once you go into the gym area, there are cubbies where you can keep your stuff in. They have TRX, plyo boxes, dumb bells, pull up bars, barbells everything you need for a kick ass work out! I will admit I was so nervous to go and almost cancelled, but I am so glad I went! The 60 minutes kicked my ass, but it felt good! I am going to be coming back here for sure!!! My goal is to be able to do a pull up soon!

Shawn and Nick are awesome! I have never felt so welcome and comfortable my first time walking into a new gym/​workout!
They seriously know their stuff and are so motivational during the whole workout, which I love and it definitely pushed me to work way harder. Also they are super attentive to all members of the class and there form at all times, which I love as there’s nothing worse than feeling like you’re doing something wrong!
Love love love Bank and can tell this place is going to be hugely popular! Go give it a try, I promise you won’t regret it and you’ll feel so accomplished (and sore in a good way!!) at the end.

What a great new gym! Came in here with my fitn app and am hooked! It’s a combo of Crossfit with TRX, but better. Nick really knows his stuff and is motivating, without being annoying. And, he’s SO nice. I’m pretty sure my attempts at clean and press must have looked more like a penguin wrestling with a club, but he was a professional and encouraging.
The class was challenging, but in a different way than I’m used to, which is good! He breaks down 3 – 4 moves, tells you how many reps, and then you are on your own for several minutes (but he’s obviously still checking in to help you with form). I love these kinds of classes because you can challenge yourself and/​or modify if needed… lots of options.
Some logistics… no showers, but they do have changing rooms. Parking… I went to a 3:30 class, so parking was easy, but I could see it potentially being a challenge if you go at peak times. Water… they sell water, but also have filtered water to fill your own bottle. Towels… they provide towels, which is always a plus.
Definitely a great gym to add into your training program!

I love this place. If you like good design style with an awesome workout, check it out. I have taken about 5 classes over the last month at Bank and I am planning on keeping it up a couple times a week. I like the combination of TRX, plyo, core strength builders and some weights. The workouts are tough in a whole different way than anything else I have done. I definitely feel lots of other stabilizer muscles I haven’t realized how to use due to the good coaching. They start the class with weights, but don’t be intimidated. There is no push to lift heavy weights for us ladies, or to worry about getting bulky. Coach/​owners Shawn and Nick push you hard to keep up the intensity and give it your all, but its still a super friendly attitude. especially the ab and TRX workouts.
The next couple of days I am always a bit sore. Prior to going to Bank, I had some lower back pain from sitting and working a lot. After a couple workouts here the pain has gone away. You really work your core here.
The space has a great city loft feel, and the music helps me to zone out during the workouts, particularly the ending «bank planks.»

I recently heard about Press Fitness through ClassPass and figured I’d give it a try. To sum up the workout in two words — ridiculously awesome. The workout was very intense and incorporated a stimulating mix of olympic style lifting as well as plyometric and TRX-​based exercises, all-​the-​while molded into a mini-​circuit workout format. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive going into the workout due to my lack of experience with olympic-​style lifting, but the trainer (Nick) placed a special emphasis on learning the correct form before stacking on weights. This made the experience both educational and exhausting. I know Press Fitness incorporates a variety of different workouts throughout the week, but this one seemed to have a significant focus on strengthening the back, shoulders, legs, and core.
Aside from the workout itself, the studio is housed in a recently renovated space with interesting décor, plenty of workout space for probably up to 20 people, and is well stocked with new equipment. The music was up to me, modern EDM, but Nick had a variety of playlist to cover different music types. The staff are friendly, and like someone else posted, Nick had a unique ability of being both friendly/​welcoming and motivational at the same time. I felt pushed to my physical limits.
I look forward to making Press Fitness a part of my weekly routine!

Today was my first class and I had such a great experience.
I would recommend this class to everyone. Our trainer Nick made sure we knew what we were doing and had such a positive attitude. The equipment is top of the line and the studio has a cool modern style to it.

I just got back from doing a class, this place is awesome. The class was based on olympic lifts and abs mixed in with some plyometrics. The instructors were awesome and the class was a great challenge, the great energy of the instructors made it easier to get through the class.
The class seemed appropriate for all fitness levels as it is based on time, if you are in better shape you would lift more and go faster to make it more of a challenge, if you are getting back in shape, you could go with less weight and a little slower. The workout will be as challenging as you want it to be.
I look forward to coming back to doing more classes at this hidden gem.
