We were in la jolla for a vacation. The person managing the place was very nice, helpful, and informative. The pieces themselves were quite enchanting. In particular from a painter called gantner were quite breathtaking.

Cosmopolitan gallery represents over 160 Artist’s from all over the world. The art work is beautiful, done by some of the most famous Artist of our time. The staff is well informed, and works hard to find just the right artwork for your home.
The gallery is for everyone, the serious art collector to the novice, everyone can enjoy the variety in the displays. It is located in just a perfect location in downtown La Jolla. You will enjoy the scenery, and the great art!

This is an old fashion art gallery with old fashion art. There are a lot of boring floras and landscape paintings in this gallery that failed to impress me. Cosmopolitan Art often time showcases plein air art, and a lot of the artists paint portraits that feature La Jolla. La Jolla is pretty and all, but the I don’t see why anyone would drop a grand for a piece of art that looks like every other water color ever done.
I like leaving a gallery feeling inspired, but I thought the ho-​hum art the Cosmopolitan Gallery lacked creativity and I thought almost all of the work was irreverent.

Cosmopolitan is an art gallery I would define as traditionally pleasing with an impressionistic slant. Most artworks that are displayed focus on Parisian, Provencal and Tuscan scenery in an impressionistic palette. If you’re a Monet aficionado, you might find yourself developing an appreciation for a few pieces. It’s rather refreshing to step in, as aesthetically pleasant art has been snubbed for so long, and contemplate what beauty and artistic sensibility can yield: Timelessness.
