Splendid Studio Photobooth

Had a WONDERFUL experience this weekend with Splendid Studio. They helped at the last minute and were able to work with me on a limited budget. They were timely– arriving an hour and a half before the start time of my event, set up quickly, and were eager to help then entire time. Amber is a great asset to the Splendid team! She had a tough crowd to host as our event was a dog show. She was able to help guests pose with their dogs and focus some distracted pups! Over all a great experience, we will be using Splendid in the future for other corporate events.

Awful photographers! Do not waste your special day with them. They were entrusted to deliver high quality, unforgettable moments that can never be repeated for my cousin’s wedding. They have yet to give her photos from her wedding after numerous email exchanges and threats of legal action. Do not gamble with precious moments and trust this company. They will steal your money!

It’s been 10 months since my wedding and I still haven’t received my reception photos that splendid studios was hired to take. The photos were continually promised but never delivered. Deadlines were continually missed after promising they would be delivered. I will be filing a lawsuit with small claims court on April 19^th if I don’t get the high def photos as promised! It’s very disappointing since you guys were entrusted with such an important event and to capture the memories of that day and event.

Wow, I cannot give a high enough recommendation to these folks. This was the hit of my party. The set up was incredible and the props fit in perfectly with my theme for New year’s eve. They were able to make the background for the photos match my invite also adding to the theme. The guests had some much fun in the booth, and I am wiping tears from my eyes as I write this from laughing so hard. This is a MUST do at any party and if you are going to have a photo booth, go with the best-​Splendid Studios. I am a very picky person and they exceeded my expectations! Beyond fabulous!!!

I used splendid studio Photo Booth at my wedding and they were great! I designed a step and repeat with Steven from splendid studio and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. I didn’t really know where to begin so we came up with something together and he sent over a mock up. From there, I made a bunch of changes and he was extremely patient with me and continued to make changes until husband and I were happy with final product. My guests had a blast with the Photo Booth and the props were great.
Not going to lie, it is on the expensive side. But it’s well worth it. They are extremely professional and the quality of the pictures speak for themselves. I added unlimited photos just so that I can get a copy of each one for my phonebook. Instead of wasting time printing an extra one after every photo, Steven said he’ll personally mail me a hard copy of each one so that the guests can maximize the time at the Photo Booth. That is going the extra mile to ensure people have a good time and minimize wait time.
I highly recommend splendid studio to anyone looking for a Photo Booth for any event!

Steven at Splendid is the best!
For starters, we had procrastinated until the weekend before our May 2015 wedding to book a photo booth. My fiancée had really liked the quality of the props they offered so she had me contact them. We were so lucky that Steven was available since he is awesome! I had a litany of questions prepared prior to calling and Steven was very professional and so friendly and quick to respond! All our questions were answered and those that we thought of after the fact, I was able to easily call or email for responses. Booked their services shortly after, and after some quick set-​up emails later (very easy questionnaires for wedding day details, preferred templates, etc), we were set to go. What a relief!
The night of the wedding banquet went fantastic! In fact, I’d say the only thing that went awry was on our end (somehow Steven did not get his vendor meal, agh our apologies one more time Steven!). All of our guests had a blast with Splendid and Steven. It is open air so folks didn’t have to jam themselves into an actual booth. We opted for the unlimited prints which cost a bit extra but was completely worth the money. Every guest was able to go home with a print of the pic (5 people in the pic… 5 prints). Guests could return as many times as they wanted and many did. The quality of the pics were great and printed on the spot, the props were high quality, and everyone had a great time with Steven there! A few short days after the event, we received the email where we could view all the pictures as well as had the option to download them all as a zip file.
Really could not have been more pleased hiring Steven/​Splendid, he was amazing from beginning to end. We loved that he was able to make our wedding special and felt that he became a part of our memorable day! He’s such a great person to work with that we would love to have him at any future events! Definitely a vendor we would recommend to anyone for any event!

UPDATE:
Since I’ve been getting quite a few messages from some of my fellow Unilocalers/​brides, I thought I’d address some of the common questions/​concerns here.
We worked with Janel at the time who informed us about the wifi. We were told:
«We provide the wifi. If reception proves to be an issue, the pictures would queue and send after the event. We’ve never had that issue yet. But if reception is really bad, that’s what would happen.» The queue did not happen. And our contract (dated 8÷25÷13) and it does not say anything about no guarantee of internet connectivity.
However, I was informed that in their new contract they do no guarantee connectivity. So if you do have concerns, I would check with the vendor and ask them to check/​test your venue location. Or just opt out of this option all together.
Last remarks: Price is a little higher than other places, but my husband appreciated the quality of the pictures. The quality of the pictures itself is great! You can customize your graphic. We loved the step and repeat. You do need to provide them one 6′ table (I think it was for the LCD slideshow). They do charge for the individual pictures (we found this out after the wedding), but they do give you the photobooth images and post them online. Email correspondence could be better/​faster. I had a requested post wedding for pictures for an ill family member who could not make the trip. They were the only vendor that didn’t respond.

I attended a wonderful wedding in late June and splendid photo was there. It was an absolute pleasure and made the wedding that much greater. Stephen was very friendly and polite to our entire group. The entire setup was very well done and of the highest quality. His photo booth definitely added to the elegance and the fun of the wedding.
If you are ever looking for a photo booth rental in Los Angeles, I would highly recommend Stephen and his staff.

I had a great experience with Splendid Studios! They were extremely professional and accommodating, even when I was late in getting my customization info to them. They arrived on time and were great with my guests, children and adults. The only thing that was a little confusing was I was certain I would have access to an online gallery after the party (not the social media upload) but was told by the photo attendants that I would not. This concerned me, but Steve later put up a gallery for me. All in all, great experience and I would use them again!

The Photo Booth at my wedding was great. The guests enjoyed themselves and my husband and I loved it. The only complaint I have is that the backdrop kept falling over from the wind. They should have more stable backdrops.

Steven is amazing! Kind and courteous. I got everything I needed and he was there at all times I needed him. Amber came and worked my event (yes she has a great name!) and she was fun bubbly and out going. I have had other photo booths before but nothing as professional and sleek as this, they we’re early to set up! And al my guest loved them. I can’t wait to hire them again for all my future events! I RECOMMEND 100%

What can I say about Splendid Studio? I can only write so much praise about Steven and his team. I hired Steven and his team to provide both photography and a photo booth for my event at the beginning of this year. It didn’t matter how many pestering questions I asked, Steven was more than accommodating. The service he provided was great and all my guests loved the photo booth. The picture quality is amazing (and the best I’ve seen) the props are high quality (none of that cheap stuff you usually see) and the attendant on site interacted with my guests going above and beyond. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Splendid Studio to all my friends and family. In fact, I’ve already booked Splendid Studio for another upcoming event.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Splendid Photo Booth during an afterparty at the event space I work at. Steven was extremely friendly and his awesome open Photo Booth was a huge success at the party. Guests visited the booth throughout the entire night and it really added another level of fun and entertainment to the event. Would highly recommend using a Photobooth to amp up any party — and would easily recommend Splendid Photobooth to anyone!

The pictures are great quality and Janel and Steven made things really easy! Out of all the photobooths I’ve used, Splendid is by far my favorite and I would recommend them to anyone looking for photobooth services. :)

Splendid did my wedding in October of 2013. They were actually pretty great, although a lot of confusion led to some unexpected results. I initially hired them for three hours, but they recommended to me that if I wanted them to set up prior to guests arriving, they should set up an hour earlier and I should pay an extra $ 50 for «idle time». I agreed to do so, thinking that would be the end of it.
On the day of my wedding, the people who were running the photobooth were great, except that at some point in the night, while they were running the booth, they interrupted me to let me know that I needed to provide them a meal or let them take a 30 min break AND pay for their meal. I told them that I did not need to provide them a meal and they disagreed. It seemed like in adding that hour of idle time, I pushed the crew up to the 4 hour limit in which a meal suddenly needed to be provided.
One of the crew said she would stay behind and operate while the other got food, which I agreed to. I thought that was fine. A few days after the wedding, I was told that they would cover the meal receipts, which I thought was nice, although I also heard from my guests later on that there were about 30 min where the booth was shut down because the person who stayed behind couldn’t fully operate it on her own.

I hired them for my wedding. My guests love them! The guy was awesome and super friendly. Props were decent.
I took away two stars because they are a little slow when it comes to e-​mail. When you work with a bride, it’s appreciated to be responded within 24 hour. Anything after that drives a bride crazy. I felt like I had to follow-​up with them rather than the other way around.

My husband and I were married in May 2014, and we hired Splendid Studio Booth to run a photo booth during our reception. Our guests RAVED about how much fun it was. The on site staff was very friendly and helpful, and the quality of the photo strips was excellent. Guests were able to take as many photos as they wanted, and the staff helped them put together a «photo booth guest book,» which I absolutely love.
I worked with Janel to order the services we wanted and draw up a contract. She was very prompt in her e-​mail responses and it was always easy to get in touch. Steven worked with me to incorporate our «wedding logo» into a design on the photo strip, and it turned out great.
The only regret I have is that I didn’t make more time during our reception to take more fun photos. =) Splendid Studio Booth was worth every penny!

What great mementos for our hardworking and deserving students! With all due respect to the pepperoni-​smothered pizzas, the awesome DJ, and the overly-​requested and instrumentally-​challenged One Direction, the students loved Janel and Steven’s involvement at their dance. They made such an impression at our school, by the way, that our ASB is already planning their next dance – still five, long months away! – and are tayloring themes and deciding upon decorations with the expectations of inviting Splendid Studio Photobooth back.
