We specialize in angus beef, kobe beef, unfrozen pork belly and Korean BBQ. We can cut meat in any size you want. We also have Korean side dishes without msg.
Just to clarify, there is a fresh section and a frozen section of meat on display. It is clear upon entry however, certain parts of meat are only available in a frozen state. Regardless, the fresh grade A angus beef is proudly displayed up front where the owners are ready to assist with friendly smiles. We grilled the meat just slightly and it was amazing. Top notch quality angus beef. Four and half stars for steep prices that aren’t paralleled with a wider selection of fresh meats. But overall the quality justifies the price and service.

My wife bought some cuts of meat that was incredible. She got the donkasu and shabu meat. The prices are quite comparable when you shop for prime cuts at any Korean market. The shabu meat was so tender…

I’m absolutely in LOVE with this place. The quality of all the meat they sell here are amazing. We frequent this spot for all things meat when we have family dinners at our place. Given the prices aren’t the cheapest but it’s well worth it.

My mom started going here when it first opened. And in theory, it’s a great idea to have a Korean meat specialty store in La Crescenta. It’s great for getting the hard-to-find meats that you can’t find at normal markets. The location is very small and from the refrigerators out front it doesn’t look like there’s much selection, but there’s actually way more meat in the back. They have a decent selection of meats at a quality better than what you’d find in the local Korean markets. Now for the negatives… Last time we went there, my mom and I asked for a few pounds of sliced angus beef. It wasn’t in any of the front refrigerators, so the lady went to the back to get it. She pulls out a huge frozen chunk of meat and hits it against the counter until a piece of it breaks off. She brings it back to us still COMPLETELY frozen and tells us to put it in the microwave when we get home. That was a huge turn off for me. For the price I was paying, I was looking for high-quality, ready-to-cook meat and I didn’t get that here. I think having a store like this is a great idea but I was disappointed at the execution of it. From now on, we just wait and go to Koreatown to buy our meat.

Very nice people. The meat they have is what you usually can get at a Korean BBQ place. Got the meat I needed and went on my way.

Got a 10% off coupon in the mail for this place and needed some good meat for a birthday party. Came in on a Saturday and two nice ahjummas were in and asked me right away what we were looking for. I thought that they would have a wide variety of meat but was a fairly small store, but had what I was looking for, beef brisket and pork belly. The meat was of very good quality and delicious and my favorite was the pork belly. I’d say it is a bit pricey but in range of other stores. I will be visiting here for all my Korean meat feasts! Also a bonus that they give you free side dishes!

Credits to finding this new meat vendor lies with Mama Yu, not me. And you know that a place sells quality meat when Korean ahjummas from the surrounding neighborhood swarm in to purchase goods from opening till closing, and proceed to brag about it as the new«hip-market» with their own circle of fellow mothers. The place is tiny, but the set-up inside is simple, clean, and organized. And yes the prices for the products are a bit steep but trust me when I say this, you don’t want to be stingy when it comes to animal products. And for once, I feel like the price is totally worth it! Products they stock up on include, and are not exclusive to: — duck meat(sliced and packaged) — chicken meat — pork belly(sliced and packaged) — black angus beef(sliced and packaged) — filet mignon(upon request via phone or in person) — select intestines(small and large, cut and packaged) — frozen, deveined shrimp(cut and packaged) — frozen scallops — pig trotter(aka knuckles, cut and packaged) — marinated beef short ribs — other beef cuts as well They also had other goods such as frozen dumplings, on-sale meat products, and some side dishes/soups. I would avoid those goods and stick to their specialty goods instead. If you’re in the area and you’ve been searching for a place that sells simple good quality red-meat, this is the place to go! :) Note: * Parking is shared in the little plaza with Yuya Spa, Brainwork Tutoring, Star Sport Clinic etc. * The meat cuts are geared towards Korean BBQ styled grilling. They specifically package and target the Korean population, but again, the products are not exclusive to persons who identify themselves with Korena culture. * If you are watching out for your cholesterol intake, but haven’t tried duck meat, now is the time! It’s soooooo good grilled :) Happy Grilling Unilocalers!
