History
Established in 1987.
The Heron was owned and built in 1986 by Guy Hupy, a contractor who specializes in building and restoring residential victorians, and friends Jim and Mary Gibbons. They included handicap access, a beautiful fireplace in the living room, in-floor radiant heating and lots of love. Guy, Jim and Mary used gorgeous custom fir wood in the common areas and some of the guest rooms. In 1992 the new owners, Gary and Mike commissioned a local artist to create 2 beautiful heron stained glass windows, which are installed on stairways of 2nd and 3rd floor. In 2011 Alvin and niece Lesia bought the Heron. Various upgrades have since been completed including new carpeting, sidewalks, landscaping, wall-mounted TV’s, furniture, air conditioners, and refrigerators.
