Pop Nail

Very clean and friendly environment. They offer Japanese nail products, e.g., gel nail colors, etc. that most lower end salons do not offer. Tons of color choices and quality products to choose from for your nails! So far so good — my gel manicure lasted through a 7 day vacation plus some, so I will return for more services. I had a gel manicure and regular spa pedicure and sister had a spa pedicure. Both techs did a great job and were very friendly!

When I went in last the lady I usually see no longer works there. Total disappointment none of the other ladies are worth going there for. Went in for a mani/​pedi and totally got ripped off. Paid over $ 80. You read right over eighty dollars. Nails looked half ass and toes were ok. Do not go unless you have money to burn.

Worst experience after a manicure, my skin got cut, uneven nail polish, messy application and my fingers are still hurting 6 hours later! $ 35 waste.

Great nail place in La Canada. Great nail art, and great for Mani-Pedi’s for natural nails… Acrylics would need a separate review and rating… :))

I am updating and adding a star for the quality of the nail techs. I have in the past 2 years tried other nail shops that are much more inexpensive but no one compares. The attention to detail, the quiet atmosphere, the undiluted polish, and talented nail techs keep me coming back! My gel nails last about 4 weeks and my toes last 6 weeks! Honestly don’t come if you are on a budget. It’s at least $ 20-​$ 40 more overall but please pick this place when you want to splurge and indulge yourself in beautiful nails that will last!

I had a terrible experience here after several quick polish changes and pedicures in the past year! According to online it also says polish changes are only $ 5 and I would even tip! However, this time I was overcharged $ 10 and received attitude from the girl that is usually always a doll! I won’t be coming by anymore for any nail services, especially after such a 180 in her customer service. Who tells a customer ‘can you just pay me now?‘I know I was in a hurry but that was completely inappropriate.
And the polishes are watered down!

Tho sometimes I feel like I am spending more than I am comfortable with on my nails I keep coming back because I have never gotten such high quality nail painting before. No ridges at the cutical which I like. Place isn’t fancy but you will always walk out with great nails.

I selected this nail salon after reading Unilocal reviews & needed a location near work to have my nails done on lunch break. Pop Nail salon is Shabby Chic cute and warm. Kathy provided THE BEST gel manicure I have had since I don’t know when. Perfect filing of my square/​oval desired shape, pushed back and trimmed my cuticles, showed me four colors on my nails (I didn’t ask her to put them on, she happily wanted to show me the range of colors I expressed interest in), executed the deep french gel manicure beautifully with a pretty silver glitter line! Kathy was friendly, repeatedly asked for my feedback on the work she was doing to make sure it was what I wanted. The other girls were friendly too. I am ditching my mediocre by comparison nail salon in Arcadia and will definitely return to Pop Nail in the future. The price is about the same as what I was paying (not cheap) but the personal interaction and selection of color and art work is 10x as good.

Kathy is the best ever! I’ve been coming to her for years no matter where I go or who I try no one compares to her. She is very clean detailed & takes her time. Highly recommend this cute little shop ;)

I was happy to find such a nice nail salon so close to my home. It is calm and relaxing without a ton of talking so you can really enjoy your time there. I have been twice now and the three ladies there have all been friendly and welcoming. Also the first time I went I told them a specific time I needed to leave by and they 100% honored that which I appreciate.
The salon has a huge selection of polishes is excellent condition including the newest colors of the season and tons of gel options. They are also really good with nail designs which I only indulge in once in a while but LOVE having the option.
They don’t automatically use the plastic liners on their pedicure basins which I thought was pretty standard now a days but have them if you request.
I normally get regular manicures but to compare cost the gel manicure /​pedicure cost $ 60 which feels high to me but seems to be the norm.

I am not recommending this place. Go somewhere else. I took my nine year old. Short story: place is unappealing, over-​priced, under-​staffed, and overall lacks customer service/​quality… I’m disappointed; not a good fit for La Canada !!!

Amazing nails. Best I have ever gotten! They are fast and have an amazing selection of polish and the newest gel out there.

I recently stopped in without an appointment for a manicure. The cost was $ 13 and I was very satisfied. The girl did a great job, was professional, and was quick (but not too quick!)
Their biggest strengths seem to be personal attention and very professional staff. My mani is perfect.
Their selection of colors is HUGE so you can take your pick. I also saw a lot of gel and specialty options but I did not do gel.
The shop has magazines and comfy chairs, and nice relaxing music playing. It is however pretty messy but the girls are busy so seem to not have extra time to clean up. I wanted to tidy up while I was there but resisted :)
Overall, good experience and I may go back if I’m in the area.

Great nail salon! Honestly the best manicure and pedicure I’ve had in like FOREVER! I’m sticking with this salon.
I walked in for a mani/​pedi. There were two women working when I walked in on a Wednesday, and both were friendly. They have a very large selection of great colors to choose from.
I’ve tried Happy Nails in the Pasadena Paseo mall. Pop Nail is on another level from Happy Nails. Pop Nail takes the time to make sure your nails are perfect, and when your done and ready to leave, they spray them with this quick drying spray.
They are attentive to you, not the sale. Cathy did my pedicure, and it is just perfect! I cannot remember the name of the woman who did my manicure, but she was great as well!
Great place to get your manicure or pedicure! Mine was $ 13 for a mani, and $ 25 for a pedicure, with a massage and nice sea salt scrub.
I will be coming back!

Although I have my regular nail shop do my fills, I came to Pop Nails once only because it is closer to my home and I didn’t feel like driving across town that day. With no appointment, I waited about 20 minutes, which was fine with me. I waited in the silent atmosphere until the girl was ready to do my French tip fill. Oh, there was music, but no one talked at all, I thought was a bit unusual. The girl did a terrible job onmy nails. She did all filing with an emery board. She didn’t clean under my nail tips. The French tip polish had a grayish tone to it… not pretty and fresh looking, as it should be. The polish started chipping after few days and nail edges we’re not smooth and started snagging. This cost me 25 without tip. I was going to give her a dollar tip because I was not happy, but she didn’t bring back the change for my 5 bill. I’m sure she assumed it was all for her tip. My fault for not asking for my change. I had to get a new fill from my regular shop (who charge $ 15) in just 7 days. I won’t go back to Pop Nail again and I don’t recommend them for acrylic fills.

Love this nail salon! Very cute place with friendly staff. Had a pedicure with a great massage. Polish looks perfect. There was a large choice of colors. Very relaxing experience — I’ll definitely be back!

This little nail salon is easy to miss — located in a small strip mall on Foothill close to a freeway entrance. But it’s become my latest go-​to place for a pedicure for the following reasons:
1) Service — all of the ladies that work here are super-​nice and have always been super-​attentive to my footsies. My pedicures always look great and last a super-​long time.
2) Selection — all of the great brands, and a huge array of great colors as well. Also a nice magazine selection — cuz pedicures are always more fun when you have some great gossip and/​or fashion magazines to peruse.
3) Crowds — NOT. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes — even when I’ve gone during prime weekend hours. I think it may have to do with the relatively small location of the salon and its low-​key location. Whatever it is, I know I’m guaranteed to get in without having to make an appointment and/​or having to wait.

Oh, I am so happy that I found this cute shop after the aweful experience I had with
Soak Bar. Though I live in LA where we have nail shops on every other street, my work schedule does not allow me (at the moment) to get my manicure at my regular nail shop. Unlike LA, La Canada simply has two nail shops. When it comes to nails, I really dont care about the interior of the shop more than the skill of the technicians.
Pop nail uses top of the line products.
they do not use cold water (like soak bar) but use warm water and give enough time for the cuticles to soften.
They also have the latest winter essie/​opi collections,
use steam towel and alcohol wipes to make sure lotion& oil is completely off the nails
before putting on the polish.
They are extremely meticulous and serious about their job.

A small salon, a little kitschy and not the best English, but I am devoted. Here’s why:
Kathy is the best nail technician I have ever met. She is careful, precise, and very on trend with colors, product and what’s hip now. The spa is clean, they are careful with tools and they don’t chatter away with eachother. I actually get to relax and read my magazine or chat with my girlfriend in the next chair. They are friendly and professional.
i hate the feeling i get in the salons where they speak Vietnamise that they are talking about everyone in the room. Here, they have solid English, are, in my experience great at making suggestions, and are really helpful. When I call they are great about finding a time to fit me in.
They also have a rewards program, for which I am a sucker. They give you a little card and with each service they give you back a small % on the card. When you get to the $ 10 level or above, they deduct that from the service of your choice. Yes!
I’ve had about 4 free pedicures over the years because I am such a devotee.
I think right now they are focused on a younger crowd, and I am a mom of adult children, still, I’ve never had a bad experience at this spot.
I’ve not had facial, waxing or non nail services performed, but I hear they are good and are developing.
If you haven’t tried Pop Nail, and you’re ok with a bright pink environment, check it out.
They always have lovely and tasteful music on, usually classical, sometimes fun pop that’s not too beat heavy. Check out what Kathy or the other gal are wearing on their toes, they are always modeling the latest color trend.
And if you do gels, have Kathy do it for you, she is truly a genius! I even take my pinterest board into her. They have texted and emailed me fun designs too — sometimes I’m in the mood to try something innovative.
Nice pedicure/​massasge chairs, friendly atmosphere and a sugary sweet pink environment. I’m a big fan!
