Crossroads of Learning provides online training and classroom curriculum for training tutors, trainers and academic coaches, along with the option of continuing education units from Fielding Graduate University.

Crossroads of Learning developed its collaboration with The National Tutoring Association and Fielding Graduate University.

The training is available either online, at the learner’s own pace (with certified master tutor-​mentors), or suited for classroom training via its consumable workbooks and train-​the-​trainer online program.

In addition to these training offerings, Crossroads of Learning’s website also features:

* a robust social network for connecting with other professionals

* a library of free or low-​cost tools for various tutoring needs

* The «Journal» news blog, featuring interesting articles from a variety of sources.

History

Established in 1983.

Media InfoSystems was founded in 1983 to support the technology, business and educational needs of small to medium sized business. In 2006 the Crossroads of Learning division was created to provided training and professional development resources to school and commercial tutoring providers as well as peer and professional tutors.

Meet the Business Owner

Bob L.

Business Owner

Bob Lasiewicz has been actively supporting the learning and systems needs of individuals and companies since 1982 when he founded Media InfoSystems, Inc. to provide business, training and computing services to the entertainment industry. A year later, he and his wife Nalini launched ShowBiz Expo, a trade show and conference that developed into the world’s premier entertainment production industry event.

While continuing to serve other clients, Media InfoSystems developed and maintained advanced custom tools in the areas of CRM, registration and marketing for ShowBiz Expo (sold to Advanstar Communications in 1994). Bob also served as Brand Manager V. P Creative Planet and it’s On-​line Production Showcase.

In 2006 he launched Crossroads of Learning to provide tutor training solutions and related resources school and commercial tutoring providers as well as individual peer and professional tutors.

Bob is a graduate of the School of Communications at Northwestern University.
