History

Established in 2012.

I solely opened the Glam Shack Salon in September of 2012, I have been a cosmetologist here in Hawaii for 18 years. I worked as a lead stylist at the Anara Spa at the Grand Hyatt Kauai for 10 years. It was time for me to spread my wings and fly out on my own. I am so grateful to my lord and savior Jesus Christ for providing me with my craft and an awesome location to have my very own salon!

Tami is a sweetheart, she is so easy to talk to and made my manicure super enjoyable. My nails were not in the best shape and she made sure to be extra gentle on them. I loved the job she did and would highly recommend her! :)

I had a decadent mani/​pedi with Tami at the Glam Shack today and have to say it was one of the better nail treatments I’ve ever had (and I get them pretty religiously in the Bay Area).
Tami was very meticulous with my cuticles (and believe me, she had her work cut out for her), and pampered my tootsies with a lovely salt scrub and relaxing massage. I was also thrilled to see that she carries ay favorite polish (Zoya) in a really impressive range of colors and offers the truly superior CND shellac method.
On top of all that, Tami is a delightful, interesting person who makes you feel welcome and comfortable in her cozy little space. I will definitely come back next time I’m on the island.

Amazing! I had my hair & makeup done for my beach wedding. Tami gave me a loose low bun that stayed perfectly though wind, beach and dancing. My makeup was gorgeous complete with false eyelashes. I showed her two pictures of the look I wanted and the results were perfect!
Tami is a lovely lady — she was a lead stylist at the Hyatt Spa in Poipu where she styled hundreds of brides a year. She was so kind and made me into a beautiful bride. I loved spending my wedding day being pampered by such a sweet & talented lady!

Was thrilled to find the Glam Shack through Unilocal.Got a very relaxing pedicure from the owner, who worked at the Anara Spa for years before opening her own salon last year. Very little doubt in my mind that when I go back to Kauai next year, she will have expanded because she runs a very professional operation and charges reasonable rates. On top of that, she gave excellent referrals, 1) to the perfect massage to request at the Anara spa and 2) to a restaurant off the beaten path (Casa di Amici).

The best pedicure I have ever had! I live in Arizona where it is very dry so I get regular pedicures. This shop was extremely clean and the pedi chair was great. The price was very reasonable for Hawaii. Next time I’m there, I will definitely return. Thank you Tami for a relaxing experience.
