Weldon has now moved to a new location in Kirkland. I don’t like this location as parking is harder to locate than a 2 dollar bill still in circulation. Plan on arriving at least 10 minutes early to find a spot.
That said, I’m giving this place 4 stars. One star is off for the location, and the 4 are because well, this place currently has in my opinion the best barber in the Eastside area.
I initially started going to Diana in Weldon quite a while ago and left after a bad experience with scheduling caused me to shop around. Since then I have visited several upscale barber shops in Kirkland and Redmond and have not found a barber as good as she is. My stops included 1881 near the Town Center, and Rudy’s in Redmond. While those shops have decent staff, the people simply don’t know how to do a shave the way Diana at Weldon does.
With that in mind, I tucked my tail between my legs and returned to Weldon. To my surprise, there is a new receptionist at this location and I have not had any trouble with my appointments since.
Diana continues to do a flawless job.

Went in the other day and Kelly was great! She costed a little more than the others but she knew what she was doing. I had an idea of what I wanted but Kelly made it much better suited to me. Will go again.

Never, ever get a «beard trim.» When I booked I said I wanted a trim and to shave at the neck line and she booked me for a quote of $ 18. Outrageous I thought but went for it anyway. Although I liked Kaylee a lot because she was a sweet girl she did about $ 3 worth of work and informed me they do not use a straight edge for beard trims. I’m not sure how it can cost $ 18+tip for next to nothing, but I wonder what kind of a place wouldn’t even clean up the bottom with a simple straight edge shave? Oh, and when I called the lady also said it was $ 22 for a neck and ear cleanup. This place is WAY too much for what you get. Go to «The Shop» down the street.

Avoid this if you can. I booked an appointment over the phone only to find out that my booking wasn’t there in the system. They made me wait for 10 minutes saying that they want to make sure i am not using someone else’s reservation. Does it make sense? After a 15 min wait, i was told to be seated in the lobby and had no idea when i would be attended. Wish i knew the receptionist name so that i could have mentioned it here.
Nate was my stylist who was very friendly and professional. I took the weldon signature cut that costed 38 $. I didn’t like my haircut as he made it too small (looks like military haircut). I wouldnt have cribbed about it much if it wasn’t that costly. It was more like a 15 $ regular haircut. The best part of the haircut was using warm towels on the face and neck which was very soothing.
2 stars just for the extra towel experience.

I have been going to see Nate at Weldon’s for a few years now. He is great at what he does, and always gets the perfect cut for me. You get a warm towel over your face and a light scalp massage that’s awesome. He has also been giving me my seahawks haircuts the past few years, which are the best! He has it down to a perfection, and I get compliments constantly about how great the cut is.
The best part about Nate is his service. He is friendly, and professional, and makes your cut something you look forward to as a great experience.

I use to work at this Weldon Barber and left about 1 year ago after 2.5 years there and I absolutely loved it! I had to leave because my commute was too much.
My review is for Lety. Whenever I have clients contact me that live closer to Kirkland, I recommend Lety every time! She is always on time, super respectful and has crazy barber skills! If you’re looking for an amazing cut or shave, definitely go with Lety!

After a little disappointment in learning that Kelly was no longer at the Weldon Issaquah location, I was pleased to learn (through absolutely no assistance from the Issaquah management when we spoke) that Kelly had relocated to Kirkland. Kelly whom I have exclusively seen for at least the past 5 years, has always been excellent and is the only reason for my continued patronage of this company. If I find a stylist that is a perfect fit, I will stick with her until I can’t. I don’t like giving instruction every time I sit down in the chair, and Kelly has never required any. She knows what she is doing, loves what she is doing, and takes care to make sure it’s right, and sincerely makes sure you are satisfied before you leave. I consider these to all be the basics for any good stylist, but Kelly is way beyond a good stylist and way beyond the basics. She is a trustworthy and creative stylist, and a great ambassador for the Weldon brand. She gets that when someone walks into Weldon, there is also a certain expectation of experience, and she is constantly excellent an all fronts.
If you have been a Kelly client in Issaquah, and have been looking for her recently but have had difficulty tracking her down… She is now in Kirkland, and so is her smile. :-) Look no more. I should also mention that I was pleasantly surprised by the Kirkland location. It is very convenient, if not more convenient from the Redmond Ridge area, than Issaquah, and in the heart of Park Place, which offers multiple dinning options, and shopping, if you are into that sort of thing. Also a great area for meeting friends or colleagues before or after. The shop is also superior than Issaquah in it’s layout and accommodations. The waiting area is more spacious, and is separate from the reception/​front desk area.

Have been in several times now. Lety is great and the services offered are well worth it. I look forward to getting a haircut here. Get the signature cut.

My husband went there to have a hair cut and he got home full of complaints. The lady who cut his hair fail some parts and even hurt his head. He said it looks like she’s never done it before and at some point he had to ask her to stop because it was hurting. And it wasn’t a cheap service at all. Never going back there again.

Weldon Barber is located in the Parkplace Shopping center of Kirkland. The store has a modern feel to it and a nice waiting area with comfortable seating and a large screen television. The waiting area is nice; however, being you spend most of your time away from this getting your haircut takes away part of the glory of it. The location provides water, coffee or tea upon arrival. In the past other locations also offered juice and sodas; however, this appears to be no longer offered.
For the price of $ 34 for the most basic hair cut you can receive, it is of a slightly less competitive value for a mens area cut for the area. This location sadly used to do heavy coupon and Groupon marketing so perhaps now when you pay there high prices it just feels like less of a value.
The haircut was good and the personality of my stylist was nice; however, to be honest it is kind of hard to mess up on a basic guys haircut. The checkout process took an extended amount of time due to the stores computer not working. From the conversations with the staff it appears this is an ongoing issue. To the business owner, this is a major disservice not only to your customer but also to your staff. It would be nice to see the company upgrade their technology for their staff to match the high end look they are going for. In today’s society all you need to do is buy an iPad and use Square for payment, walk the guest over to the waiting room you have invested in and provide «mobile» check out there.
I would return here again if in a last minute crunch again; however, based on price, there is nothing that would make this place stand out as one to go out of my way to return to or recommend to others. It is simply in Unilocal terms just «A-​OK»

I’ve been looking for a new barber for a bit now and I couldn’t be happier that I found Weldon. From the moment you enter, the vibe puts you at ease. Everyone was welcoming and made sure that I was comfortable while I waited for my appointment. The style and atmosphere is both laid back and sophisticated.
What I really want to rave about is my barber Nate. He took the time when we started to get to know me and what I wanted (even though I didn’t have much in the way of directions). He is the first barber I’ve ever had who actually listened to me when I said that I like my hair really short. Also, he was able to give me some really good recommendations on how to control my hair.
This is without a doubt the best haircut I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Go see Isabel! She Gave a good haircut and I would say is a good example of the kind of service you are supposed to get at Weldon. I will definetely recommmend her to anyone thinking about getting a haircut there.

My husband visited here for the first time before our yearly charity Child’s Play Benefit Dinner. He usually goes to the Seattle location but we decided to visit the eastside location to avoid rush hour. It worked out nicely because I was able to find a new coffee place if I’m ever back in that area.
Parking spaces are a little narrow by QFC or maybe I kept finding jerks who didn’t colour in their own lines. It’s why I opted to leave the lot ISO coffee. Chelsea gave him an excellent shave and he mentioned that she was low-​key during the whole thing.
I recommend this place if you have a bloke in your life who keeps a beard or any facial hair, you might want to gift him a certificate here. My husband left feeling relaxed and looking snappy!

I generally stick to reviewing bars and restaurants, but had to make an exception here. I keep my hair short, and when you screw the pooch there is nowhere I can go (straight razor??), so getting my hair done how I like it has been a battle for years since keeping it short. I’ve seen some true hack-​jobs, so I really know the good from the bad at this point.
Chelsea at Welden is one of the best I’ve been to. At this point I just walk in and go into relax mode. We don’t talk about the hair, she knows how I like it and it is perfect every time. The signature is really a relaxing experience. I see why you gals do this «pampering yourself» stuff. The scalp massage alone is worth its went in gold after a long work day.
The inside is really well done with a «man» feel to it. It’s just comfortable.

I have been to most barbers in Kirkland (multiple barbers at Weldon, The Shop, Sorella, Great Clips, Sport Clips, etc) throughout the years but I no longer bounce around barbers because of Chelsea at Weldon. Don’t get me wrong all of the barbers at Weldon and some of the other shops are professional and give excellent haircuts but Chelsea goes above and beyond.
Chelsea always remembers how she cut my hair (perfect everytime), doesn’t hesitant to give honest suggestions when asked and the fact that she’s easy to talk with makes me look forward to every visit!
I would suggest calling ahead at least a day before to set an appointment with Chelsea and if you are in the need of rejuvenation/​relaxation I would suggest the Signature cut and shave. I have done this a couple of times after a rough night on the town and it’s worth every penny!
About Weldon in general, I have only experienced great service when I walk in because there are always friendly faces to greet you and ask if you need a drink. Located in downtown Kirkland near good restaurants, Hallmark and QFC… so if you are getting a haircut to look nice for a date or before you go visit your mom you can get the haircut, set up dinner reservations and/​or pick up a card and flowers in one trip.

This place is fantastic. Every time I walk out the door after an appointment I feel 10 times better than when I walked in. Ask for Chelsea.

I don’t really know what to say here other than my hair was pretty much obliterated when I came in here. I went from having longer, richer hair to a short cropped half-​buzz with bangs so uneven they looked like a US economy chart. I’m stuck styling with pomade and wearing hats until this crappy cut grows out.

For me, getting a good haircut is about finding a person that does a good job and then going back to that same person. I tried the Groupon promotion (3 signature cuts for $ 54), made an appointment online with «anyone» and ended up with Fatima. I lucked out. It was a great experience — great shampoo, scalp massage, and haircut. I have been twice now and both experiences have been fantastic. It is a nice 30 min break in the day. I came out both times feeling and looking great (in my not so humble opinion).
I highly recommend Fatima, but as long as you get somebody that has been there awhile you should be fine. For the most part, it sounds like they have RELATIVELY low turnover. In comparison, Sportclips can be very good and an almost as nice of an experience for quite a bit less, but there seems to be a lot of turnover there and you never know who you will get. I love being able to book online and know who is going to be cutting my hair if possible. Weldon allows that with their online booking system.
I fully intend to pay full price for this better service once I’ve used up my Groupon.

Since I moved here, I have been playing the hairstylist/​hair salon roulette game. Most of the time it has worked out fine. Though there have a been a couple clunkers and a Van Gogh incident even. Talking and cutting hair sometimes doesn’t mix I guess.
I decided to take advantage of a Groupon promotion that Weldon was offering. They have four locations in the Seattle area, though none in Bellevue. I decided to head over to the Kirkland Parkplace location for my hair appointment.
To schedule appointments, you can book online or give them a call. The Groupon specifically said to call which is what I did. Though I used the online booking tool as reference of times available.
Prior to your appointment, they offer you a drink of your choice which is a nice thing. Waiting area is quite comfortable. Once the stylist was ready, I headed to the hair station. I like that the station setup has walls and is a bit more private which is a change from the open feel of most hair salons.
I got the Weldon Signature cut ($ 36) which consists of a hair cut, shampoo, hot face toweling, neck shave, scalp massage, styling and detailing. I wanted to get a spruced up summer look and for the most part I got it. It didn’t seem like there was much haircutting done, but I liked the look nevertheless.
I do like the additional extra services that come along with the Signature cut. The hot face towel was nice and the scalp massage was an interesting but good experience. The treatment does really go deeply into the scalp, so much that I could smell it for hours after my appointment. Which is fine since I really like the smell of the scalp treatment that they use.
I don’t think that I have found the one hair salon that I want to put a ring on it with yet. However for the price point, Weldon Barber is a good option given the many services they provide with each haircut compared with similar hair salons.

My favourite haircut place. Microsoft people get a discount. This has been said ad nauseum, but I always ask for Diana who gets it perfect. It’s a good experience at the end of the day to go for a haircut, be welcomed by friendly people, get served a coffee while you wait in comfortable leather chairs, and treat yourself to a good haircut experience.
I love the ‘signature haircut’ — scalp massage, shampoo, hot towels, etc.
