Marina Park

Nice waterfront park. Plentiful with paved walking paths and several areas where you can access the beach. The main beach inlet is a popular place for dogs. The NAMI walk was held here this year and was a perfect location!

As soon as I got off the bus at Kirkland Transit Center and started walking towards the Marina I fell in love with it. The cute little stores reminded me of Bali. I love it there! Perfect for a day to relax, read a book and have a picnic. A bit of a tight parking on a busy day though.

Rather small beach, but a nice and clean area with easily accessible beach access and reasonably clean public restrooms. Shopping and eateries as well as free parking are all nearby. Make a day of it!

I have no idea what drugs these five star reviewers are smoking, but it has to be something harder than the sht ton of cigarettes that are littered all over this gravel beach. Yes, it’s one of the few downtown lake beaches available to the public (thanks a lot, Bellevue) but its an eyesore and poorly maintained. Basically, each summer the city dumps a truckload of crushed rock, probably refuse from some nearby construction site and hopes the kids armed with sand buckets smooths it out. Toddlers are also the ones responsible for cleaning up the massive amounts of duck poop, feathers, food wrappers and cigarettes I think because I’ve certainly never seen a city worker do it. For such a prominent location it’s an eyesore and embarrassment to Kirkland, but I guess if you’re one of the Ukrainian locals only interested in hanging out in the park bench and flicking ashes in the sand it’s a pretty good deal.

Great little park to take in vitamin D and stroll around. I have been here over the years for festival and July 4^th fireworks.
What I don’t get is how some people can swim in the water! The water is full of dirty motor boat oil, bird poop, and duck feathers. I get squeamish just watching!

Great park right on the Kirkland waterfront and conveniently located in the heart of the downtown business hub. If you spend any amount of time in Kirkland, at least walking through this park is an absolute must. The views of Lake Washington are pretty spectacular and the people watching can be just as entertaining if you are there at the right time. Lots of events are held in this park including live music shows and even Seahawks rallies. The park is also conveniently placed right next to tons of bars, restaurants, and shops and can either be used as a break from the bustle of all the shopping or, if you can time it just as the sun is setting, would be the perfect place for an after dinner date walk.

This waterfront gem get everything. Close to the business area, dock for the boats, sand beach for the kids, shadowed shelter, benches, green grass, and lots of parking space. It’s so nice to take a walk here after lunch, enjoying the lake view, chatting with friendly strangers, listening to the live music. The park is simply beautiful and convenient. We’ll definitely come here again soon!

This is a gem of a park, right on the waterfront in downtown Kirkland? I ask you, where is there a lovelier place on the eastside on a sunny day? NOWHERE, I say!
This is an expansive green area, ideal for picnicking, for the kids to run amok, to lounge and soak your feet in the lake on a summer day… in other words, a peaceful, beautiful retreat behind the cute boutiques of Kirkand on Central Way and Lake Street.
Many a rally is held here, as this is the perfect place for large gatherings. It’s the equivalent of the old-​time city square. Every December, this is where the Argosy Holiday Ships board, so festive and lit up. I love this park simply to people watch, and dog watch, as so many people walk their dogs here (and I’ve never seen a dog off-​leash here, which is refreshing, as elsewhere there are always a few loose dogs). Also refreshing, I’ve never seen any trash or litter here; this park is always so clean.
There are restrooms here, too, which is so convenient.
There is an adjacent parking lot where rates are quite inexpensive. I don’t recall what they charge, though, as I have always found parking on the street.
There is a lovely bronze sculpture here of kids in a row, frolicking and jumping. I’ve taken some great photos of my kids in line with the bronze children. Great place for a photo shoot!

Great park with a great view! You’re literally smack dab in the middle of Kirkland so restaurants are plentiful. Lots of boutiques and cute shops to go to as well! The parking can at times get a little outrageous during the summer months, so be prepared to park elsewhere. Great walk on the docks even though if it’s crowded you might feel a little cramped. If you have a boat one of the public loading docks is located here. I might be wrong but Wednesday markets used to be held here and I think they still are. They alternate with Juanita beach and it’s a treat to see some of the local produce and wares. Bottom line if you’re looking for a relaxing but exciting scenic park, this is it!

This is a great park, with a wonderful location, whether I’ve been here for an event or just to photograph a beautiful sunset with family, I find this park to be quiet considering the foot traffic and popularity.

Lots of great scenery during the sunset. If you keep walking down Lake St. there are more small parks that you can relax and just chill. I moved to Kirkland quite recently and I have been jogging around this park nearly every day. If you see an asian dude jogging with bright neon Nikes on, yup, that’s me.

One of my favorite waterfronts. The atmosphere is usually serene and romantic, especially at sunset. I love to come here in the Summer evenings for a stroll after dinner. Especially when someone is playing live music! Or on the hot Summer days, while enjoying gelato, and soaking my feet in the water :)

Marina Park is a park located on the downtown Kirkland waterfront. It is a bit on the small side, but the docks make this an interesting place to visit. This is the location of numerous Kirkland events during the summer including a July 4^th fireworks celebration which I attended over the weekend.
While the Downtown Bellevue fireworks display is the largest on the Eastside, the Kirkland one is worth visiting because it has a picturesque view of Lake Washington. And since the fireworks displays in other parts of the Seattle area including the one at Lake Union occur around the same time, you can see those fireworks in the background.
The park was crowded. If you want to get a good spot, make sure to come a couple hours before the fireworks start to stake your beach towel/​chair spot here. Public parking was limited near the park, but it was pretty easy to find street parking in one of the side streets a few blocks away.
If you are looking for a place to chill in downtown Kirkland, Marina Park would be the place to go. And I would definitely consider going to see the Kirkland 4^th of July fireworks display again next year. The show was excellent and it saves me a drive to Seattle and dealing with the traffic of the one at Lake Union.

I didn’t realized I’ve been here a couple times the last couple years until Cascade Bicycle Club had a meetup event here on a Sunday.
This park is very beautiful by Lake Washington! I was lucky to come early enough so that I got a free parking spot. I think normally you have to pay M-​F, except Sunday but I don’t recall how much it is! This is definitely a place for romantic date or a nice day walk! Or, if you want to bike in hilly Kirkland :-| No # 3 is what I did!

This is a small little beach park that overlooks the lake… and the day we were there it was absolutely gorgeous! It wasn’t packed with people despite the sunshine, but the area itself was definitely busy with lots of people enjoying the nice weather.
There are quite a few benches, statues to view, ducks, a gazebo, the docks… lots of good people-​watching opportunity for sure! The area is kept very clean and it feels very safe here too.

Love, Love this place and it’s kinda of a hidden gem if you are NOT in the know when it comes to place like this… in saying that somewhere that has a lil bit of everything all in one spot and NOT in Seattle per say.
The Kirkland waterfront has grown alot from when I use to frequent this spot, still trendy as you are on the «eastside,» yet still savoring the Pacific Northwest feel:)
I love that it has a just enough of the beach feel, along with a park and the Marina itself. You can watch around around a see it all.

this is one of my favorite go-​to places in the spring and summer. The park offers swimming for the kids, and is just a nice place to go and bring some food and eat. Restrooms are available at the marina and parking is free (3 hour minimum) until 5:00pm and then $ 1 an hour after 5:00pm.
This Kirkland area is alive and has lots of places to grab food or a glass of wine. Fun place to go and hang out. Things to remember:
1) if after 5:00pm, make sure to pay your parking fees
2) Be careful to watch small children that are swimming, no lifeguards
3) restrooms are available.
