My animals have had nothing but the best care at Evergreen. Dr. Roberts is one of the best Veterinarians around. My coonhound can be a real pain around people but has no issues with Dr. Roberts and the staff at Evergreen.

BEWARE of DR. ROBERTS and her practice!!! Please read my story:
She put my baby kitty through a horrifying death!!! She performed a surgery and told me during the surgery that my cat had a cancer stage 4 and she had to cut out a 3^rd of her intestine. She never mentioned that i had to transport my cat to the emergency overnight hospital after the surgery. After 4 – 5 hours of surgery, she handed me my cat in a blanket who was cold and unresponsive and told me to take her to the kirkland emergency hospital who could support and keep her stable overnight. Once i got to the ER hospital, i found out that they didnt have enough blood supply and necessary equipment to support after surgery. After a horrifyiing 12 hours of surgery, and witnessing my cat swallowing her own vomit into her lungs, she died… ONLY to find out, she NEVER even had cancer!!! Dr. Roberts mis-​diagnosed her and its been almost 2 years that im trying to obtain biopsy results. The hospital just gave me a turn around.
Please beware of her practice, for the sake of your pets. I would not wish this on anyone with a beloved pet.

We recently moved into the area and brought in our 5 year old Maine Coon who was having some breathing issues. While the veterinary staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable and they did all they could, we ended up losing our young one to a heart attack.
This review has nothing to do with the abilities of the vets themselves, but is instead for the facility and how we were treated afterwards.
Once it was determined what was wrong, he was brought into the back and put on oxygen to try to help him calm down and clear his lungs. However, the capabilities of the building are woefully inadequate as our cat was placed into a large room with multiple people and large dogs constantly coming in and out and making a lot of noise. This included vacuums being run less than 10 feet away and large dogs having their nails clipped in easy sight of our already-​anxious and terrified cat, even though our vet assistant REPEATEDLY asked the other employees to stop. The goal was to reduce his stress but instead caused his heart to give out because there was apparently no way to get a private room.
We fully understand our cat’s condition to have been genetic and even in a best case scenario he would have only had a few months to live, but this facility made his last two hours an absolute living hell.
To top it off, we ended up receiving a large bill 3 months later for his cremation even though on the day of our visit the vet told us to not worry about it (we DID pay for the vet visit and medicines) and on the day of picking up the urn we were again told there would be no additional charges. The bill we received also amazingly included 2 months worth of late fees which, while ended up being waived, forced us to relive the experience a few extra times.
Thank you for letting us rehash an awful experience caused by your facility with even more pain and drama. We will not be bringing any of our other animals to this hospital.

Was a little apprehensive to come to this place because quite frankly the negative reviews are really very bad. I’m sorry for your experience but really had such a different experience. I had a very very sick kitty. I called in the morning when they opened to get an appt that evening. I work downtown so evening is the only time that works for me. I’m sure these evening appt are coveted by regular patients. But I explained my situation and they graciously accommodated me. I saw Dr. Roberts and she presented me with options. She supported my decision to put my friend down and gave me some private time before, during & after. She lovingly comforted my pet and me. The staff all were very empathetic & comforting. I never felt pressed to do more or pressured th o make a different decision.

These people are the greatest. I met Dr. Cullen for the first time Saturday and she is the best. My dog Milo was so comfortable with her and he’s a bit of a coward. Ok, lol big wuss. The prices they charge are always lower than I expect. I couldn’t recommend this Vet more. My roommate has been going to this group for a long time and recommended them to me. He has has a few big black Labs and they are the worst for health problems. I love those dogs like their mine. EVH does everything right to cure, help, and preserve their short lives.

I have been a client of Evergreen Vet Hospital since they opened.
I have cats and dogs (German Shepherds) and have always been more than pleased and confident in the service I have received there. The staff is knowledgeable and the Dr’s are thoughtful, considerate and honest in addition to being prepared. Over the course of so many years I have had 9 dogs and 5 cats that have been cared for at their facility. The treatment has not always been easy or cheap but the Dr’s have always enjoyed my full faith and confidence and in turn their honesty about treatment and probability of success. In addition to their skill and devotion, the Dr’s at EVH are truthful in admitting when they are not able to help and have always been able to send me to specialists (Dermatology and Optometry) that have taken outstanding care of my pets or bring Dr’s in (neuro-​surgeons) that have provided exceptional care.
In addition to my own pets, I have a knack for finding strays and lost animals. I have been so fortunate to have staff members and Dr’s there who have assisted me in finding the rightful owners and extending themselves to me in caring for these animals when in need of care. Their kindness seems to know no bounds.
The devotion to animals at EVH is evident. Their interest in caring for the humans who love these animals is undeniable. Following one surgery, one of my dogs was difficult to care for. He was defying what was expected of a dog in his condition and no doubt would recover better at home. He was a large dog and I was not able to carry him myself. Dr. Iverson sent a technician home in my car and he followed me in his own vehicle to my house where they both carried the dog in for me and showed me everything I needed to do to insure a successful recovery at home. The Dr’s call with results of tests and procedures and always extend themselves to me. In the saddest of times, their compassion is incomparable. They have sat with me, called me and sent notes to my home following the loss of a pet. How lucky we would all be if only we could find physicians to care for us and our human family members the same way these people have cared for my four legged loves.
Evergreen Veterinary Hospital is and always has been the one place that I can consistently depend on. I find it difficult to believe that people could evaluate them and not be pleased. I understand that we are emotional when dealing with our pets — not always rational or logical. I see this in the reviews and understand that for many this is their outlet for that and most likely not a fair or practical evaluation of the services provided at EVH.

I was referred here by a friend who has brought two of her puppies here in the last year. Her vet is Dr. Roberts. I brought my 9 week old double doodle in today and was very pleased. There were 4 vet techs hard at work at the front desk when I got there. My appointment started close to my scheduled time and Dr. Roberts did a very thorough check for a first puppy visit. She explained what I should be checking for and expecting in the next couple weeks and month. All the other patients and pets seemed very happy while waiting in the waiting room and overall I had a very good vibe for my first visit. My pup will be going here for the rest of her shots and when she gets spayed. I would recommend everyone here.

Cheaper than other clinics until you have to take them back or get a second opinion. If your pet is seriously ill or needs a procedure done correctly the first time go somewhere else, they’ll want to be paid to correct their mistakes and it might be too late.

I was looking for a vet for our new puppy we rescued. He was pretty sick when we brought him home, and had a history of kennel cough, giardia, worms, and was underweight. The vet pretty much just looked at him and gave him a vaccination. She was friendly but not nearly thorough enough. She didn’t even listen to his heart or lungs with a stethoscope. I took our puppy to another vet about two weeks later when I suspected giardia. At the new vet, the doctor checked him all over thoroughly, looking at his bite, nails, eyes, eyelash development, knees, umbilical area etc. Seeing the difference between my new awesome vet and how we were treated at evergreen vet hospital made it very clear how substandard the care was at evergreen vet.

I love this place. Dr. Roberts and the whole staff are so amazing I could never thank them enough. When Riley started having a whole host of problems Dr. Roberts was nice enough to consult specialists and read up on her disease that doesn’t exist outside of Cali to save me multiple expensive consultations. Even after my dogs surgery (which she didn’t perform) she always returned my paranoid calls promptly and listened to me vent. The staff has been so nice and gone out of their way to help us. I just took her in for her year follow up and one of the girls who was just passing through on her day off remembered my girl and ran up so happy to see her. My dog is my heart and I will never trust her to anyone but Dr. Roberts ever again.

On Thursday, February the 13^th my dog Bonnie died. She was a Border Collie mix, 9 years old. She died sometime Thursday morning overnight. I woke to find her dead laying on the carpet with blood coming out of her hind end.
Bonnie had started Vetoryl two weeks prior as she was diagnosed with Cushing decease by Dr. Colleen Roberts, DVM at Evergreen Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Roberts started Bonnie on 120mg per day and after 3 days she got sick and could not keep food down so I called in to ask advice. Dr. Roberts said to cut the dose in half. The first few days was fine however Bonnie’s appetite was down so I was feeding her canned food which she would eat over dry food. Bonnie Started to throw up her food on Sunday morning sometime after her Vetoryl pill (60mgs). I did not give her the Vetoryl that Monday thinking. Tuesday she still had no appetite but was drinking water so I thought I’d give it one more day. Wednesday she ate a little but threw it up a few hours later do I called the vet again. Dr. Roberts said to give her no food and wait until the next day to give her food. By Thursday that would have been a full 4 days that Bonnie had not eaten and kept it down.
Vetoryl side effects include hemorrhagic diarrhea, collapse, hyperadrenocorticism and death. I believe Bonnie died of internal bleeding. She had no sign of diarrhea but she but she hadn’t kept anything down in several days. She obviously died of hemorrhaging.
I feel Dr. Roberts did not do enough to understand the situation even after I called and explained the details the day before Bonnie died. In hind sight I should have taken Bonnie into another vet for a second opinion. I even contemplated that on that Wednesday but didn’t follow through after I talked to Dr. Roberts Since she seemed so sure it would be OK.
When I talked to Dr. Roberts the day Bonnie died, I asked her how could this happen. She didn’t take any blame and said there must have been some other abdominal issue. No indication that it could have been a reaction to Vetoryl. Nothing about the fact that Bonnie hadn’t kept anything down in 4 days.
I’m sure Doctor Roberts is a good and well intentioned person but I put the blame squarely on her for Bonnie’s death. I hope maybe she learned something from my dog’s death so that it is nor repeated with someone else’s pet but I won’t be going back to this clinic to find out with my new dog. I also learned something, don’t trust a veterinarian’s advice if your gut feeling tells you otherwise; get a second opinion.

I took my frenchie mix here for about 5 years, and it seemed the vets, vet techs, and admin folks were constantly changing. The one vet I really connected with left, and my next visit, the new guy improperly diagnosed my dog with a knee issue. Seeing my dog so weak, I decided to get a second opinion at another clinic, and was advised to take him in for an MRI. It turns out he had a stroke, not a knee issue, and should have started physical therapy weeks ago. Also, the front desk staff is meh at best, used to be flat out rude, but seemed to be getting better over the past year. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone I know, as I was never able to establish a good relationship with a long term vet for my dog, who has had lots of health issues. You’d think a frequent patient like my little guy would of had better care. Also, checking out takes for ever. So annoying!

I just received a call of apology from Dr. Cullen, a partner at Evergreen Vet. She understood exactly how I was feeling about my cat Biscuit’s last visit there, explaining to me a more modern option of anesthetizing my cat in preparation for a nail trim. She also said that it was one of the techs with whom I had my less-​than-​satisfactory conversation and not a vet as I had assumed, adding that she would talk to this tech about her client interactions. I felt very satisfied and happy to return to Evergreen by the end of call.

Update: After having our dog seen by a surgeon (that was actually recommended by Dr. Wilcox), the surgeon confirmed that our dog has developed a pressure sore due to the placement of the splints Evergreen Vet put on. He started developing a sore a couple weeks ago during his 2^nd or 3^rd resplint at their office, but the vet said it would be fine with antibiotics and proceeded to rewrap his leg and use the same splint! Dr. Wilcox AND Dr. Roberts said his sore and problems with his splint were caused by his licking and activity. Pressure sores/​ulcers are caused by PRESSURE, not licking (besides, he’s been wearing a cone and cannot lick himself)! He now has a gaping wound due to their negligence and is on even more antibiotics. As a result, he can no longer wear a splint and will require surgery.
I am so incredibly disappointed with Evergreen Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Wilcox, and Dr. Roberts. I do NOT recommend this place to anybody! They haven’t even attempted to call back or compensate us for their negligence.
2^nd UPDATE 09÷06÷13: Dr. Iverson called last night to apologize for our terrible experience and the way we were treated by Dr. Roberts. He was very professional and seemed sincere. He didn’t make any excuses. Instead, he acknowledged that they were in the wrong and should not have spoken to us like that, nor should we have had so many problems with the splint placements.
It is for this reason that I’ve increased the rating I’m giving Evergreen Veterinary Hospital to 2 stars instead of 1. Taking accountability for your actions, being decent and respectful, and knowing and accepting when you’re in the wrong goes a long way. There is absolutely no excuse for ever treating a client with disrespect and making false accusations/​assumptions.
Although I appreciate Dr. Iverson’s phone call, I cannot get past the way Dr. Roberts treated us and that she didn’t call us herself to apologize. Thus, if we ever return, we will only be seeing Dr. Iverson or the other owner.

I would 10 stars if I could. I just had to make the terrible decision of putting my 7 year old Rottweiler down for severe aggression issues Ive been working on reversing for a few years. Nothing worked. I even talked to the lead behaviorist in the country.
After over a 6 month decision, my husband and colleges agreed it had to be done. This is a dog that has been through so much with me and has been there 110% for me. His genetic breeding was just too deep.
Dr. Roberts came in with a completely non-​bias agreement regardless of his breed but of what he was doing. Knowing my expertise in the dog training and behavior world, she knew I was making the right choice for this boy.
She went through the process step by step in a caring, sympathetic manner (even though I was a vet tech for 11 years I knew what was going to happen), she treated my dog with dignity and respect. The vet tech that came in was great at holding my dog with care and compassion and even though it was one of the hardest decisions of my life, and I hope to not go through it again, it was as respectful anyone could ask for.

I was so touched by the caring & kindness of everyone that I came in contact with in this Animal Hospital. Very professional and quick. My cat was very upset and I expressed that to them and they did not even make me wait till my actual appointment. They let me immediately go to a private room, which was a huge relief and comfort for me. My cat was very old and very sick, Dr. Ben (do not remember his last name, sorry) was so kind… he explained the options of trying to heal my cat and the time and expense. So, I had all the information to make my decision. When I did make it, he was just so kind and comforting. This was so rough,
I am so thankful! My cat was so comfortable with him also, which is so not like my cat at all. I just cannot say enough about how impressed I was going here. When I left, they were just all so sympathetic and kind.

Ok, let’s be honest … we all love our furry family members and probably would spend WAY more than we should on them at the vet but there is a difference between spending a lot and getting squeezed for all you have by your local vet.
Quick summary of Vet that shall remain unnamed: We wanted our cats tooth pulled and in one quick exam (they didn’t even look at the tooth), we were handed about $ 967 worth of recommended services. We ran out of there so fast we almost forgot our cat. HAHA!
That is where Unilocal came in… we found Evergreen on Unilocal,read the reviews and set our expectations. First visit exceeded our expectations! The front desk staff was far more pleasant than Unilocal reviewers lead us to expect. Doctor Cullen was thorough and kind and never once recommended anything that wasn’t necessary. She observed the issues we came in for and gave us her recommendations which were completely within our abilities. Prices were FAIR! The dental appointment we needed wasn’t full of alacarte services and unnecessary tests, it was all included as one service and about ¼ of what we were quoted. Seriously.
Dental appointment day arrived and again, great service from both front desk staff, nurse and doctor. Excellent communication from the clinic all day while I wondered how my cat was doing. Picked him up and all was good!
We definitely found our family vet.

As an update, I did end up leaving this clinic. While they did the right things for my dog’s issues, their choice would have been to keep him on steroids indefinitely. It just was not necessary. He’s doing great now and off all meds.
I still greatly respect Dr. Iverson’s knowledge of the Great Dane, but it’s really hard to get an appointment with him. We ended up seeing another vet in the practice, who was okay but didn’t really seems confident in treating a non-​textbook disease.

I’ve been going to Evergreen Vet Hospital for many years, and their service has been consistently great! Their facilities are always spotless, and the staff very friendly and professional. I brought my Frenchie in for what I feared was a luxating patella. I showed up at my appointment time and was ushered right in without waiting. Dr. Featherstone carefully examined Cosette and suspected the luxating patella, but took x-​rays and had a colleague look at them as well. She then came back and thoroughly explained her findings to me, which thankfully did not include a recommendation for surgery. I really appreciated the time she took to answer all of my questions, and especially the fact that she conferred with a colleague. A second opinion for free, essentially! We were sent home with some anti-​inflammatory meds and advice as to monitoring Cosette’s progress.
I’ve always been very happy with Evergreen, and will continue to take my pets there.

Fur ball checkup success! I only want the best of course… for my new precious little kitten. As a 1^st time pet owner, I was referred to Evergreen by family and the shelter (another Unilocal 5-​Star business* Homeward Bound*).
*Snoop* did very well with Dr. Ingal– who is obviously experienced & gentle.
She put little kitty right at ease inspecting eyes, nose and ears & administering shots. (insert sad face)
Clean & quiet environment– there are even signs posted to turn OFF cell phones! LOVE. IT.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. On-​call Dr’s for emergency care.
Appointments are best and easy to make.
Plenty of parking in private lot.
