RESPONSE TO DEB L. AND BILLY C. This driving school is not a joke. As a student here I can say they do not just hand out papers and have us watch videos. Sotiris is NOT a tyrant and is more concerned with us learning how to drive safely and fantastic then talking about himself. These posts from you are DEFINITELY not true and a terrible way to describe the activity of a business. The teachers here have been the best instructors I have ever had. They take learning a boring thing to something I look forward to in my week. I have learned more instructive driving from them than any other of my siblings who have gone to swerve or 911 driving.

My daughter, wife and I all learnt from this school in September 2012. Then they used to teach how to drive and the actual test was conducted by the DOL.
Our instructor, Issac was very good and punctual. My wife once had Hussain as instructor and she said that he was even better than Issac (and Issac was very good).
Now here comes the scary part. One day Mr. Sotiris, the owner came to take us on the road. He keeps on grabbing your steering wheel and pulls or pushes it one way or the other. His talking habit is also distracting.
I now wanted my son to learn. After talking to sotiris I came to know that it is they who are going to be the final authority who will give the license. I am not talking the risk because knowing Mr. Sotiris, I would not like to take the risk. (I may be wrong but this may be my prejudice or may be I am just paranoid).
He might be ok and fair but I am not too confident.

yelled at me for changing the appointment, he is micro manager and doesnt allow anyone else to schedule appointments (Cause he wants to make the most $$$ and
align them so closely to each other)
he hires front desk employees who cant speak english, doesnt allow them access to his scheduling system and whenever i need to schedule, i need to call and wait for his honorable mr (Sotiris) to come back and schedule.

If i could give negative stars i would. The man that runs this establishment (Sotiris) is tyrant, and an inconsiderate jerk. I have never been so disrespected in my life. My 16 year old son needed driving lessons and i tried this place because of the good Unilocal reviews. What a mistake. The classes are a joke, very little instruction, mostly just handing out papers for the student to read or watching videos. The hands on driving comes with the scariest looking instructor i have ever seen and my son says that he is more interested in talking about himself than teaching.
Frankly, I don’t appreciate being talked down to when spending my money, and i don’t appreciate not getting the service i was promised. I would avoid this place and thats the truth.
PS. This school may have good reviews presented, but if you look at the filtered reviews most of them are 1 star — just saying…

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! This is mainly for the owner of the place. He was rude, argumentative, and above all else has little regards to the people who pay for his servie. I paid for a driving test and went with my instructor to my friend’s car who couldn’t get his insurance policy number, but has his insurance ID card. The instructor stood there and basically said to go back in there and come back another time. Most people would assume that since you’ve paid for the 50 dollars service and they didn’t actually do anything they would be able to reschedule with another test free of charge since no service was provided today, BUT NO the owner insisted on paying again to register for another test and would not give me the option to pay extra to use one of his cars the day of. WORST SERVICE EVER. The owner was extremely racist as well, he also made a racial slur to me since I am Asian…

I don’t encourage any one to go to this school especially don’t attempt to take your road test!!! They re just money“business «oriented! First of all they charge you too much almost twice than what other places charge, secondly you get to be asked to do maneuvers that are not included DOL driving test preparation video/​packet/​. Proof: my brother was asked to do a 3point turn which he had no idea what it was. And he failed from this twice.

This place couldn’t be more different from the DOL (and other driving schools that I’ve known.) My daughter needed to retake the test for her instruction permit and while on the way to Fred Meyer we thought we’d pop in to see if she could write it at Coast to Coast. The owner was teaching a class so we had to wait a bit, but he came out, had her write the test and then when the class was over made the time to do her road test as well. She passed both tests, which was great. He went over everything that she had missed and explained quite thoroughly what she needed to do differently, but in a very engaging and friendly manner. She is keen to come back and do a driver’s ed refresher before she actually starts driving solo when she is 16. I wish my kids had done their driver’s ed here, but they are all going to take some lessons here anyway just because the instruction is really valuable. Oh, and we would have saved a lot of money by coming to Coast to Coast initially, as they are considerably cheaper than the school the kids went to.

I strongly encourage you to avoid this school. The manager is one of the rudest business operators I have come across in years. We had to cancel a single driving lesson due to injury and got yelled at (literally) even though we called hours ahead of time. He said it didn’t matter that my daughter couldn’t move her neck! A week later in cowardice he asked my daughter to pay for the missed lesson. Their lessons seemed okay, but the attitude stinks.

I came to this school to take my driver’s test and was not impressed with the service I received.
I was happy to learn that I didn’t need to make an appointment, but now I wish that they accepted appointments because they did not have proper staff to help me when I arrived. The only person there was busy teaching a class and the kids were told to ‘take a break’ while he set me up for my written.
The back room is weirdly organized and messy, so much so that I felt like I wasn’t supposed to be back there. After I finished my written test it took him a half an hour before his class let out and he could take me on my actual test. Another customer comes in and he asks them to wait alone at the facility until he can get back from my test.
We finish and I’m anxious to get my test results, but instead of just giving me my score, he makes me wait another 15 – 20 minutes while he takes another customer out testing!
I will never go back to this place if I can help it.

Gone are the days of driver’s ed through the schools here.
Not gone are the days of teenagers drooling like rabid dogs the millisecond the clock of their life clicks over to «old enough for a permit».
I was floored with gratitude and respect, and maybe a teensy bit of a crush, the moment Selena and I walked in to see if Coast to Coast could get her on the road to being on the road.
The owner is a wonderful man. He walked us through the simple registration process and got Selena scheduled for class on the spot.
I loved that he spoke directly to Selena for much of the time. Treating her as the young adult she is becoming and he expects her to be. He provides state of the art classroom teaching equipment, a mini-​kitchen for snacks, vending machines, and a structured course tailored to take the very real responsibility of driving as serious as one should.
I was quite impressed with his zero swearing, zero goofing, zero drugs, zero disrespect policies. You know he is serious, but he delivers with such respect and caring. Not like a drill sergeant… but like a firm, loving Papa.
We knew a bit about this place already, as my psuedo daughter Stella got her instruction here earlier this year and (knock on wood) hasn’t wrecked yet. Pricing for a course, barring any specials they may run for the 3x a week/​5 weeks runs just under $ 700, which is fairly on par for the area and well worth all the classwork, driving hours and support you get here.
When I inquired about payments or other means to help with the costs of multiple kids ready for driving, owner Sitirus just continued filling out various papers and explaining things– and when he handed it over for my signatures, he’d granted Selena a full scholarship and registered her in the next class just 3 days later.
That teensy crush turned into full blown love.

I just took the 10 hours lesson from the coast to coast driving school. The instructor named Hussein is good. He is nice, he gave me a lot of information for safe driving. The only one reason I rated 1 stars is the customer service is very bad. This is my story, I’m international student, so I do not have enough money to pay the tuition at one time, then I decided to pay 100 after each lesson. Everything is good until the last lesson. Before the last lesson (at Sunday) they called me on Monday but I were working so I couldn’t not pick up the phone, then I called them back in the next day because I know they need the payment to make schedule for me as they said. However, when I checked my account, I saw they already withdraw 100 before I give them permission like my account information, and they don’t even ask me or tell me that they did withdraw my money until I asked them. I asked the man who contact with me by phone. «did you withdraw my money, yesterday?». Then he said he didn’t do that, maybe his assistant did it. I asked him that how can his assistant can withdraw my money without my account information? and why the didn’t ask me before to do that? I think they have to ask me, right… Guest what? he said he didn’t do it so he does not know, and he will block my account information now… I was very upset when i hear that, what does it mean? does it mean he saved my account information? If so, he can withdraw my money whenever he wants… When I asked him that, he said he saved my account information in the «paper form» so his assistant just did it… I have nothing to say at that time… Is that illegal when they saved my account information to withdraw my money whenever they want without telling me or my permission? Should a big company have a customer service like that???

I have taken 10 lessons from Coast to Coast driving school in the last 6 – 8 weeks and have passed my driving test successfully from the Bellevue DMV on 30^th June 2011.
I have recently shifted to the US, am new to the Seattle area and was looking for a good driving school. One of my Microsoft friends recommended me this driving school and I promptly joined it. The owner, Sotiris, appears a trustworthy fellow to deal with. He usually schedules all the drive classes and sends a reminder email a night before your drive.
I took all my lessons from Tony, who I must say, is a very knowledgeable and patient instructor. He gives you precise and crystal clear instructions and gives you frank feedback on where you stand and how to improve. I would recommend him highly to anybody!
I’ve given this review 3 stars, because I am not happy with the timekeeping of this Driving School and have had to miss/​reschedule some of my other appointments due to them. It was rare when Tony/​Sotiris would arrive to pick me up at the appointed time, but that said, I have always got my 1.5 hours session with them.
I would recommend this driving school.
