Description

Specialties

This is the flagship beach site in the North Tahoe area. KBSRA’s 1,700 feet of lakefront is the largest public access sandy beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. The wide stretch of white sand that makes up Kings Beach is a favorite of visitors and residents alike. Its south facing aspect and a lake floor that gradually deepens, makes this one of the warmest swimming areas on the Lake. The beach is adjacent to the Kings Beach Plaza where Arts and Crafts Fairs and other events are held throughout the summer.

A beautiful playground area overlooks the water and gives the kids a place to play after they have tired of playing in the Lake. One picnic area near the playground is available for rental by groups, but generally BBQ and picnic areas are available on a first come, first served basis.

North Tahoe PUD D.

Manager

The North Tahoe Public Utility District was founded in 1948 to provide sewer services to the residents of the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The District’s boundaries range from the Nevada stateline in Crystal Bay to Dollar Hill. Over the course of the next 25 years, water and recreation services were added to the District’s responsibility. Our service area includes the communities of Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Brockway Vista, Carnelian Bay, Cedar Flat and Agate Bay.

The District manages and maintains most of the public beaches in our service area as well as owning and operating the North Tahoe Regional Park and Tahoe Vista Recreation Area, both in Tahoe Vista, CA. The North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach, CA is also owned by the North Tahoe Public Utility District.
